What are the causes and symptoms of reduced lumbar lordosis in a female? Consult some exercises.?

Potential causes of lordosis include: poor posture obesity osteoporosis (weakening of the bones with age) discitis (a disorder of the disks between the spinal vertebrae) kyphosis (an excessive outward curvature at the mid-back) spondylolisthesis (a condition in which one vertebra slips forward or backward relative to the next vertabra) achondroplasia (a form of dwarfism). Treatment for lordosis will depend on the severity of the curvature and the presence of other symptoms. Treatment options include: medication to reduce pain and swelling physical therapy (to help build strength in the core muscles) yoga (to increase body awareness, strength, flexibility, and range of motion) weight loss braces (in children and teens) surgery (in severe cases)

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. U need proper ayurvedic treatment. Don't sit down with cross legs, use knee caps and avoid curd ,sour and other cold items, lemon n other citrus foods. For medication n further treatment consult me personally. Or consult ayurved panch karma specialist doctor near by u. U need Basti, Janu Basti etc. Treatment.

If you r having sever pain in knees, you must do exercise during pain. You should take rhus tox 30 thrice a day (two drops in water).

Your shoulder pain may be due to strain, sprain, weather change etc. *Avoid bending forward while working on lap top or for any other work. *Don’t sit continuously working on laptop etc. Get up periodically and move around. *Restrict bike driving as far as possible. *Don’t carry laptop or any load on your shoulder. *You can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good *Soft bed will not give proper support to your back bone. Hard bed with thin mattress and thin pillow is better. *Get yourself tested whether you have spondylitis problem. Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take Calc fluor 200--once daily in the morning.

I am 27 year old Indian national currently living in Muscat, Oman. I am working here since past 2 years and since November 2013 I started experiencing a little pain in joints of like toes, feet and above the ankles of my legs which gradually increased and by the end of December I got the same pain in my hands as well; like fingers, knuckles, wrists elbows etc. Initially I dint cared about it but now its taking its toll on my work. In Nov 2013 I visited Doc's here in Muscat, they gave some calcium and multi vitamins but those didn't help. Then I met an orthopedic here in Muscat he gave some steroids and pain killers but that too dint help and since May 2014 the pain had increased a lot. In October 2014, I decided to visit India in regards with my health condition. There was a scare of Arthritis and I did few blood and urine tests prescribed by the Doctor however the reports were normal and during my stay in India I started experiencing back pain and lower back pain. Now I got severe lower back pain extending up till my buttocks, neck pain and pain in shoulders. Basically I mean to say is I have pain all over my body. My Uric Acid level is normal My ESR is normal I took a Xray for my pelvic area. That too was normal. Please help. Please suggest.

Get lumber spine x Ray and cervical x Ray done. Start with Physiotherapy sessions and learn exercise. Take methylcobalamine and salmon omega 3.

Back pain at your age is mostly because of bad posture while you r studying. So you should use proper chair and study table. Also take vit d supplemnts according to your weight. Medicines can stop your pain temporarily but you need to have good posture and regular exercise to overcome your pain.

Please take panchamruta loha guggal, 2 tabs, twice a day after meals. Take gandharvahastadi kshayam, 3 tsf in half a glass of warm water, before meals, twice a day. Do massage with murivinna oil on back up to both legs. Avoid cold eatables and cold water in your routine. Consult some good ayurveda physician for panchakarma. Continue the regime for 45 days. Good luck.

I get neck pain very often what can I do about it, any treatment or suggestions for me?

1.Take crocin 500mg one tablet sos after food upto a maximum of 3 tablets daily 2.Apply volini gel twice daily 3.Give local hot fomentation If you have recurrent attack of neck pain a)Take X ray cervical spine to exclude spondylitis and consult orthopedic specialist b)Sometimes It could be due to bad sitting posture while reading. Adopt proper sitting posture, put neck rest c) Consult for further advice .

Spondylosis is a general term for neck pain. Need to find the cause and treat accordingly. Typically it requires good spine rehab and Sos nerve root injection.

Advice... Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Long sitting is your problem so take break between work and do walk and stretch your back muscle. Tk soft pillow for back support. Heat fermentation twice a day and muscle relaxant medicine and do spine stretching exercise in daily routine.

Hi there There is no cure for muscular dystrophy. But medications and physiotherapy can help to manage symptoms and slow the course of the disease. Medicines prescribed can be Corticosteroids, such as prednisone, which can help improve muscle strength and delay the progression of certain types of muscular dystrophy. But prolonged use of these types of drugs can cause weight gain and weaken bones, increasing fracture risk and Heart medications, such as angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or beta blockers, if muscular dystrophy damages the heart. Physiotherapy will help in maintain range of motion of joints by stretching and strengthening exercises, aerobic exercises to maintain strength, mobility and general health. Braces to avoid contractures and maintaining muscle length. There can be need of breathing assistance if respiratory muscles weaken, a sleep apnea device may help improve oxygen delivery during the night.
