I was pregnant. Unfortunately my 2.5 month miscarriage done on 12 December and doctor done my DNC. Now I want to again pregnant. Pls suggest me am I fit for being pregnant and after how much time we should try. This will be my second pregnancy. I have one 7 years old baby boy. He was come by normal delivery. Thanks.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
Around 15% of pregnancies gets miscarried, that is nature's rule. You should avoid next pregnancy for 6 months from the last abortion. Chances of repeat abortion or preterm delivery increases if one becomes pregnant within 6 months of miscarriage. Also if abortion/ miscarriage was caused by any viral infection, then it will get cured automatically within 3 months time. Use contraception for 6 months. Best one to use are oral contraceptive pills. No special treatment or tests are needed if you had only one miscarriage or spontaneous abortion.

We both make a relationship in 3rd day of my period. Can I conceive this time as we r trying from last six months because my friend says pregnancy can be if you try 3rd day. Is it possible. please tell the truth.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
That is completely false information, you will never get pregnant with sex on 3rd day. To get pregnant you need to have regular sex i. E. 3-4 times a week for one full year before you start seeking medical help. If you want to make her pregnant fast then you can follow this calender method. If a women’s menstrual cycle varies from 26days to 31days cycle, The shortest cycle (26 days) minus 18 days = 8th day. The longest cycle (31 days) minus 10 days=21st day Thus, 8th to 21st day of each cycle counting from first day of menstrual period is considered as fertile period.

The reason is lactational amenorrhoea as she is breast feeding but as she resumed her menses , she may be ovulating so practice contraception while intercourse.

Hi lybrate-user, PCOD is syndrome it's not completely treatable you need to treat as per symptoms. You should have healthy balance diet avoid junk food, bakery products, rice. Have high protein and low carbohydrate diet. Share details of clinical history and investigations you had done if conceiving is the issue.

Hi doctor recently I did blood test of hormones so my amh is low and FSH is high so doctor told me to go for ivf but I want natural pregnancy so please suggest me.

MBBS, DGO, MD, Fellowship in Gynae Oncology
Gynaecologist, Delhi
As per your report since your amh level is low and high fsh you are not having good no and quality of eggs, so you may not be able to conceive naturally. So ivf is a better option for you. Still if you want a natural cycle you should go for it asap with wasting time.

Since I have polycyst ovary doctor saying I have endometric cyst so it s possible to get conceive are not and i am married just six months. I have undergone a fertile study on dec but i am not satisfy wit tat.

BHMS
Homeopath, Chennai
Cysts in ovaries occur due to irregular hormonal action on the ovary required for follicular development. A good sized and good quality healthy follicle is the egg that a woman requires for a viable conception. In case of irregular hormonal supply, growth of the egg is affected and fluid is filled within the egg resulting into a cyst. If there is cellular changes within these follicles, and there is bleeding within the follicle it may result in an hemorrhagic or endometriotic cyst. Now in presence of good follicles apart from cysts, a woman can get pregnant. But commonly, fertility is affected since the egg itself is unhealthy and immature. So here's you can do. First don't get upset with findings of cyst/pcod. Relax and resolve any stressful triggers that you might be facing. For eg, recent marriage cud cause adaption changes, difficulties handling multiple tasks and responsibilities and expectations. Eat healthy and have an activity filled lifestyle. Consult and follow your doctor's advise. It isn't wise to change doctors or treatments in such short times. If still unsatisfied, try homeopathy. The rx aims at balancing your own hormones and improving follicular development and thereby fertility without any external hormonal or unnatural means. Happy to help!

I have to do sex with my virgin gf. What should I do if bleeding occurs? Should I try anal sex also?

HAVING COMMITTED ANAL SEX MAY GET BACTERIAL INFECTION WHERE BY YOU WILL BE JUST REPENTING . ITS NOT FIRST TIME EVER ONE WILL HAVE VIRGINAL SEX. IT COULD BE PAINFUL LITTLE BIT FIRST TIME GETS SMOOTH FURTHER. SO ANAL SHOULD NOT BE TRIED . WISH YOU GOOD HEALTH.

Nothing to worry about it. As your pregnancy will progress further placenta will also migrate upwards of its own.

Is urine infection is the reason I am not getting pregnant please guide I wanna conceive asap its been 5 months I am married.

MBBS, DGO, MD, Fellowship in Gynae Oncology
Gynaecologist, Delhi
It can be a reason as it alternates the vaginal ph, which affects sperm. So you need to drink lots of juices and water and maintain local hygiene.

Hi, we are trying for a child for last 6 month but she is not getting conceive. There are few drawback. 1) she has less feeling while intercourse. 2) When is the best time for intercourse after mensuration.

MD, MBBS, Advanced Infertility

You should try sexual intercourse on alternate days day 11 to day 17 in a 28 day cycle of mensturation for early conception or you can try lh kits to check ovulation and plan sex accordingly.
