Hello doc, I have married a couple of days ago. Still we have not started sex. As she is completely virgin, should I start with unsafe sex or with condom? Please advise.

You may start with condom. First make a rapport. Ease her and comfort her. Indulge in some romantic talks.

We are about to ruin sex for you

Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S)
Sexologist, Chennai
We are about to ruin sex for you

We are about to ruin sex for you

Sex is not all sunshine and rainbows. There are real risks you ought to know about.

We all know there are dozens of benefits that come with having regular sex. Makes you wonder if there are any disadvantages, right?

Sex sure has side effects, so you might want to look out for these signs that tell you to cut down on sexual trysts.

1. Back pain:

Harming your back is a very common side effect of sex, especially if you are experimenting with new positions which you are not very comfortable with. If either of you is suffering from a back condition, make sure you place a pillow under your hip while having sex. Make sure that the positions you try do not affect your back a lot.

2. Infection:

All men carry bacteria on their penis, and they need to make sure that they following a healthy genital hygiene to avoid transmitting these bacteria in women. Men must regularly retract the foreskin and clean the smegma (a combination of shed skin cells, skin oils, and moisture), especially before the sexual act

3. Fatigue:

Sometimes, sex can get so good that it drains you out completely. So much that you wake up feeling tired and exhausted. If you're going for an interview or if you have important things planned for a particular day, sex can mess it up for you.

4. Penile fracture:

If you are not having sex properly, sometimes, by accident, you can cause a penile fracture. There are claims that it happens because of the woman-on-top position.

5. Psychological problems:

Sometimes, if you are not able to satisfy your partner or if you are cheating on your spouse, you tend to get depressed or anxious in a while. A lot of people even go through a low self-esteem if they are not able to satisfy their partner or if the partner refuses to spice up the sex life due to various reasons

Hi, I am got pregnant of 20 days, but I want to do abortion as early as possible, so what will be solution?

DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), DGO, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Hyderabad
Hi you can do abortion. First of all you do one usg scan for early pregnancy to see the location of pregnancy, weather its intra uterine or extra uterine. If its shows that its intra uterine pregnancy than you have to take mtp kit. Its total 5 tablets course 1+4, after that you will experienced bleeding which will continue for 7-10 days. In 95% case mtp kit is successful and you will abort completely. After 10 days you have to do repeat usg pelvis to see weather you had aborted completely or not. This is the solution for your conern. Thanks.

Use the gel as minimum as possible. Some pain is common in pregnancy. But in severe pain, you have to take care of bp, liver function and acidity.

She has no periods. I advise you to do meditation for mental strength by doing slow and deep breathing relaxation exercises in the morning. Take proper balanced vegetarian diet. Take 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. Avoid non veg and eggs. Keep your weight normal as compared to your height.

Hello- severe pain during the periods is due to the contraction of underlying muscles of uterus. It can be minimized to a negligible extent by following these tips. Keep your bowel clear before the periods. You can use laxatives if you want. Eat a veg easy to digest diet before periods. Don't indulge in heavy exercises or physical activities before menses. Reduce your stress level by meditation so that the pain receptors remain silent. Use a hot water fomentation at abdomen during first two days of menses.

Hi if you are trying to conceive and if you are in first half of period than you can take any medicine allopathic or homeopathic without worry. But if you are in second half of period means after 14 days from lmp than you should be careful. Better to avoid and take home remedies like eating curd, apple, pomegranate. They all have anti diarrhoeal effect. And drink ors solutions. If you are feeling weakness thanks.

PCOS - Factors That Contribute to it

MBBS, DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Delhi
PCOS - Factors That Contribute to it

PCOS or poly cystic ovarian syndrome is a hormonal disorder that is very common among women, in their reproductive age. It is the condition in which cysts are formed in the ovary of the affected woman and/or the levels of the male hormone called androgen increases in her body. As a result of these, she faces a variety of symptoms like late or no periods, heavy menstrual bleeding, the growth of facial hair, unintended weight gain, acne and pain in the pelvic region.

You can also take the package for Living Healthy - Woman.

The causes of PCOS have not been accurately identified so far, but researchers suggest that the following factors might contribute to the onset of the condition.

  1. Lower inflammation levels: The white blood cells present in your body form resistance against infections through a response termed as inflammation. Women with lower inflammation levels are likelier to get PCOS as the decreased levels stimulate poly cystic ovaries, thereby, producing more androgens.
  2. Increased amount of insulin secretion: Women suffering from insulin resistance may get PCOS as their body is not able to effectively use this insulin, which results in increased insulin secretion by the pancreas. This, in turn, triggers more androgen (male sex hormone) production in the ovaries, making it difficult for the ovaries to ovulate.
  3. Genetic factor: If you have a family history of PCOS, it's highly probable that you may also get it as the disease is linked with your genes.

If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a specilized gynaecologist and ask a free question.
