I am having Type 2 diabetes from the last one year. Sugar consumption is prohibited in diabetic people. Is consumption of jaggery (gud) also prohibited? Fruits also contains sugar. So are fruits also not to be consumed by diabetic people? My feet are getting black patches. Is it because of diabetes?

Mr. lybrate-user, Sugar and jaggery are both made form cane sugar juice. So there is hardly any difference between those two. Jaggeruy is supposed to contain some more minerals and vitamins. But both are sucrose, which is immediately converted to glucose in the body increasing the blood glucose almost instantly. Various types of food that we eat like rice, roti, chapati, potato, sweet potato, corn and many other food stuffs all contain starch, this is ultimately converted to glucose in the intestine. However, it takes over 3 to 4 hours for this process to be completed. So the blood glucose rise is comparatively slow. Even with most fruits the main sugar is fructose, it is different from glucose. Certain fruits are high in sugar like banana, mango, grapes & chikkoo. Those should be eaten very occasionally or just a small piece. Thanks.

Dear lybrate user, * add protein containing items in your foods for healthy hair growth such as take a bowl of cereal daily and a glass of milk or 100 gm cheese or 1-2 eggs. * stress is one of the main cause of hair fall. To reduce hairfall, practice yogasana like shirshasana and sarwangasana only under the guidance of expert. * you can use mahabhringraj tel and apply it 3 times in a week massage your scalp for 10 to 15 minutes daily. It increases blood circulation in your scalp and enhances hair growth. * avoid the excess use of products such as hair colours or shampoo as they cause destruction of hair follicles. *take vitamin-e rich foods like dry fruits (almonds, pista etc) daily. * apply the egg yolk to the scalp atleast once a week. It gives nourishment to hair root and enhances hair growth.

I am suffering from dandruff so how can I prevent it. Is there any solution for it.

Hello,Dandruff causes hair loss so its necessary to treat dandruff first. Take Thuja 200, 5 drops in the morning, once in a week. Take Arnica Q and Cochleria arom. Q in equal amount, mix with equal amount of coconut oil, and apply this on your scalp, thrice a day. Wash your hair with B&T Anti- Dandruff Shampoo. Home remedies are as follows:- Coconut oil helps eliminate dandruff due to its antifungal properties. It also moisturizes dry scalp and provides relief from itching. Take some coconut oil and mix half the amount of lemon juice in it. 1. Rub it on your scalp and massage for a few minutes. 2. Wash your hair after at least 20 minutes. 3. Follow this remedy two to three times a week. Revert me after 1 month.

Masturbation is a very healthy form of sexual outlet, do not feel guilty about it. Nearly 99% of men and more than 60% of women masturbate. It starts from adolescence and goes on in some people even till death. The pleasure (orgasm) from masturbation is said to be unique from sexual intercourse. In men, most of the liquid contains only water and some fructose and hormones. Hence it does not drain your energy. Many equate masturbation/ seminal fluid loss to lack of energy, impotency and so on. Many quacks, religious heads and pseudo healers also propagate the idea that masturbation is a disorder/ and wrongful behavior and instill fear on the mind of innocent men and women (we can see posters in train and bus stand, offering help for this behavior). Consult a psychiatrist, if you have excessive masturbation guilt or compulsive masturbation. Compulsive masturbation is when a person continues with frequent masturbation neglecting his/ her other work like education, job or social obligations. In fact masturbation reduces the sexual tension and helps focus on task at hand better.

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. PENIS CURVED towards right or left or downward is always normal and this can be seen with majority of people. This mostly happen due to masturbation. People who use right hand for masturbation, their penis will be curved to the left and the opposite with left handlers. There are other reasons too. This phenomenon is quite normal and there is nothing to worry. In fact, curved penis will give you more pleasure when you engage in vaginal intercourse than straight penis simply because curvature provides more friction. Enjoy your curve. I suggest online sex education. Take care.

It could be due to Gastritis/Hyper acidity 1.Take bland diet, Avoid foods which cause acidity like spicy, oily, fatty and junk foods, onion, garlic, citrus fruit like orange grape, lemon, tomato,cucumber, raddish, vinegar, pickle etc 2..Have proper Breakfast, Don’t skip or postpone your meal, Take home made food, Avoid food and water from outside, 3.Eat food slowly, don’t rush, take smaller meals at frequent intervals like 5-6 meals per day, and don't overeat.limit fluid intake during meal 4.Drink plenty of water(8-10 glass daily). Take your meal regularly and timely. Avoid fasting, Don’t skip your breakfast. 5. Stop smoking, consumption of alcohol and tobacco, excess tea or coffee, carbonated drinks if you are having, 6. Avoid stress, have adequate rest, sleep for 7-8 hours daily in night, go for regular exercise, practice yoga/meditation 7. Take one tablet of pan40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days .8.Consult Gastro enterologist for further advice

Don't just feel bad. You must think of working on it now that you have decided to do something about it. When it comes to weight/ fat loss it's all about being sensible with food. Eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips.

HELLO. TAKE HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT. Follow some tips: 1. Lemon Juice Lemon is great for curing sun tanned skin due to its natural bleaching properties. You can simply apply some fresh lemon juice on the affected skin area and allow it to dry before washing the area with water. You can also add some sugar to lemon juice and apply it on the skin. Sugar is an excellent cleansing agent. Do this two or three times a week for fast results. 2. Yogurt Yogurt is very effective in minimizing a sun tan as it cools the skin as well as reduces redness and tightens the pores. Take a cup of plain yogurt and add the juice of one cucumber and one tomato. Next, add half a cup of gram flour (besan). Apply it on your face and neck. Leave it on for 30-45 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water. Plus, simply apply some fresh yogurt on your skin daily before taking a bath. For best results, add tomato juice and lime juice to the yogurt. 3. Aloe Vera Aloe vera gel will lighten the skin within a week, if applied daily to the affected area. It also helps cleanse and nourish the skin. Apply fresh aloe vera gel on the affected skin areas before going to bed. In the morning, wash the skin thoroughly. Take care.

Hi Mr. Lybrate-user, the motion problem z may be due to the changes in your sleep pattern. It will get adjusted slowly. Meanwhile drink lots of water frequently, have bananas aft dinner, and fibre containing food like green leafy vegetables, tubers, will help u. And do exercise for some half an hour a day. Try this for 3-4days, and if the problem still persists, you can consult a physician for further evaluation and investigation.

You are suffering from severe reactive depression to love failure, at this age it s understandable how you feel, in few years from you will laugh at these things. So do not do anything silly. You parents would have sacrificed a lot to bring you to this level. Consult a psychiatrist and take a course of antidepressants. All the best.

Hi, take 1 glass lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. Take salad before meals. Drink more water in a day. Don't take rice at night and don't skip breakfast. Avoid junk food and oily food. Take small and frequent meals.

Here are some diet tips 1. Eat high fibre food avoids eating food in simple sugar form 2. Eat fresh fruits instead of fruit juices. Fruits are good source of fibre except banana mango, chiku. 3. Try to avoid deep fried food and oil containing food. Control your fat consumption in your routine diet 4. Avoid bakery products, sweets. 5. Have plenty of water at least 3 lt/day 6. At least half hour walk/day. All are common things but for definite result you need individual diet and exercise schedule.

Dear lybrate user Spend some quality time with your spouse daily. Do some activity of common interest daily so that thrre is a coordination out of bed too.Have plenty of sleep. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Have Ashwagangha,shwet musli,nagkesar and kaunch beej powder daily one spoon with warm water or milk in evening. Exercise regularly and have a balanced diet.
