some families have cholesterol. others have high cholesterol due to wrong eating habits by taking more fats. you can reduce by taking less of bad fats like street food , packed foods but do take a spoon of good fats like pure ghee/butter and a katori of assorted nuts to give you good fats and proteins. drink fresh lemon juice plus spoon of honey with warm water everyday on empty stomach. you can have lemon juice during the day also. apple cider vinegar does reduce cholesterol. dilute it with water or juice. some people claim that pomegranate juice or fruit does help reduce cholesterol.other fruits with fiber also absorb cholesterol and reduce it. no juices -real or synthetic. eat fresh and natural. try all of the above as none has any side effects but do not take medicines to lower cholesterol.

Honey + warm milk help to get sleep. Do not take medicines that lead to addiction. Left hand pain -write back details or take a routine pain killer like maftal forte.

My self Mahesh Mullick aged 65 years, my Blood Pressure has been for about two years 150/70. Last year Dr. Prescribed Medicine" Felogard 5 mg. Two time daily. Pain in chest does not always come from heart. There may be other reasons associated like muscle strains, gastritis, etc. For which the first point of contact for you is a general Physician. Let him check and investigate the reason for your problems and guide you accordingly. This can not be done online and you would require a physical consultation. He might either manage you alone or may refer to some other concerned specialist. You should consult immediately.

Dear lybrate-user, get a chest xray and blood test done - cbc, esr. Meanwhile - home remedy for dry cough: 5 basil leaves, 4 black pepper, 4 munakka, 5 gms liquorice (mulethi), 3 gms banafsha - boil these in 200 ml of water till it becomes 100 ml. Filter it. Add 2-3 patasha in it and drink lukewarm for 3-4 nights. Sleep well covered. Dry cough will be relieved. Also continue to chew mulethi. You can also have steam with vicks

For Recovering from low BP follow these best methods: • Anaemia is a cause of low BP so check your hemoglobin level (Hb) if this is low so eat green leafy vegetables, beetroot and fruits like pomegranate. • Eat an apple daily it maintain your BP normal. • Take your meal daily do not skip meal. • Drink 8 - 9 glass of water daily. 1. For your age pain chest could be due to anxiety, stress, depression, physical and mental strain, hyper acidity, muscular problem 2. Avoid stress and strain 3. Do regular exercise, reduce your weight if over weight. 4. Control your diet. Avoid oily/spicy/fried and junk food, high calorie and cholesterol rich diet. Take small frequent meals (5-6 meals/day instead of three heavy meals. If you have hyper acidity take one tablet of pan 40 in the morning before breakfast daily for few days 5. Do yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercise like pranayama etc. It will calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress. 6. Have sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily. 7. Avoid smoking, alcohol, excess tea/coffee, if you are having 8. Drink plenty of water and take rest 9. Take crocin advance one tablet sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets per day at the time of chest pain 10. You are having acid reflux from your stomach to your food pipe. Apart from the medicine prescribed you need to follow certain diet recommendations: 1. Avoid spicy and fatty foods. 2. With your symptoms as described I feel that her medication is not being given adequately. Get a home bp monitor and check her bp every 6 hourly when she is relaxing for atleast 1/2 hour. Then with bp readings and her present medication chart revert back. We can address her headache better.

Hello lybrate user- in indian conditions where females don't take proper diet it is very common in major part of the population to get this kind of complaints. This might be due to improper food habits and worms in your intestine, or excess bleeding during menses. Try this ayurvedic treatment- a) do not drink coffee and other things to increase your bp it will further ruin your blood quality. B) avoid late night sessions and fast food. C) do not eat too much spicy food and increase dairy products like ghee and milk in your diet. D) practice surya namaskar daily in the morning. E) sttart tablet abhra loha 1 twice daily and shatavari kalpa 1 tsp twice daily. F) if having menstrual disturbances then start ashoka rishta 2 tsp twice daily with water after meals.
