Avoid toward bending. Do physiotherapy treatment. Its sciatica pain. Stretching exercises after relief. Ultrasonic therapy and SWD for few days. Avoid long standing and sitting.

Ozone in pivd/slipped disc

In case of prolapsed inter-vertebral disc (or, slipped disc) different other mechanism acts. Inter-vertebral disc is filled with nucleus pulposus which is a jelly like material which holds water (90% of disc material is water). When ozone is injected into the disc the proteo-glycan bridges in the jelly-like material are broken down and they no longer capable of holding water. As a result disc shrinks and mummified which is equivalent to surgical discectomy and so the procedure is called ozone discectomy or ozonucleolysis. It has been published in anesthesia and pain journals that up to 85% of disc operation can be avoided with these non-surgical interventions. Success rate is about 88% which is comparable to surgical discectomy (50% to 90%). Complications are remarkably low and much less than surgery.

Ozone therapy

Minimally invasive procedure using small needle and probe to remove disc material of prolapsed disc, releasing pressure on nerves and relieving pain in most of the patients of prolapsed / bulging / slipped disc.

Rotating probe is inserted through needle into the disc under x-ray/ fluoroscopic guidance

Rotating tip removes small portion of disc material. Because only enough of the disc is removed to reduce pressure inside the disc, the spine remains stable

Insertion site covered with bandage. Recovery is fast as unlike surgical decompression no bone or muscle is cut. 2-3 days of bed rest and may return to normal activity within one week.

I am 36 year male suffering from pain just above angle in my right leg whenever I walk for more that 1 km. Also while walking I experience numbness & tightening in my right foot below ankle. Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

10-Minute Easy Exercises To Relieve Back Pain
10-minute easy exercises to relieve back pain

Most of us lead sedentary lifestyles these days which have led us to experience severe problems with our spine. Irrespective of your age, a majority of people today suffer from back pains as a result of sitting for long periods. The most effective way to counter back pain is to strengthen your spine to make it capable of dealing with these aches in a better manner.

These 3 exercises will help you counter back pain quickly.

1. Leg lifts - a lot of us have weak abdominal muscles as compared to other regions and this leads to an imbalance in the muscle strength of different groups. Leg lifts help restore that balance. You have to lie on your back and choose a firm and rigid surface. Start by lifting your legs slowly and avoid any bending. Keep lifting them to bring them at an angle of 90 degrees with your upper body and then return to the starting position. Around 15-20 repetitions of this exercise on a daily basis are bound to give you much relief from recurring back pain.

2. Cycling - this exercise is perfect for building coordination among all the abdominal muscles of your body. Set your body in a sit-up position with your back on the floor and knees bent. Next, move your legs in a pedalling position, as you would do in case of riding an actual bicycle. Continue the movement for about 20 seconds in each direction.

3. Plank positions - in a plank position, you are required to hold your body in a particular position for a specified time period. For example, you can perform a plank position by holding your body in a position that it would acquire during a push-up. Do not rest on your palms and instead bend them at your elbow, so that your weight now rests on the forearms. Breathe deeply and hold the position for a minimum of 30 seconds.

32 years female suffering from severe headache/head pain for the last five to six years. Pain occasionally becomes less when when saridon tablets are taken but is not completely cured. Pron to acidity and take pantocid 40 tablet to get relief. Have done sugar test and spondylitis test but there is no blood sugar or spondylitis. Visited homeopath who said that there is migraine present but could not cure. The head becomes jam and there is unbearable pain. What should be done?

Hello dear according to your condition you do hot fermentation daily three times in a day with duration of 15 min. Do full stretches along with breathing hold it for 15 sec then release sure you feel better in 2, 3 days.

Knee 2 quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi, hope you are doing good, take rest for three days if pain is severe, then do hamstring and pariformis muscles stretching, and strengthing exercise of back muscles, with help of physiotherapist and learn all exercise and do regularly. Take care and be happy always.

Hey doc, my friend has changed alot, she doesn't laugh alot this days and she isn't her same. Few months back she started self harming and continuously cried. It all happened after some personal issues. She doesn't feel like playing or talking, she would rather sit in her room and read stories from her phone. She is under depression. Try to find out the cause. Your friend might be having rotator cuff impingement at shoulder. This can occur in sports persons with overhead use of arm as occurs in badminton. Ask him to stop playing when it's painful. Apply cold pack over the shoulder and topical analgesic creams. He can take simple analgesics with anti inflammatory effect available over the counter. Once pain is decreased he should undergo isometric shoulder exercises. If problem is not relieved he might have to undergo ultrasound therapy of shoulder muscles. Steroid injections or surgery are done at last stage. Hope this helps.

He is most probably suffering from oa of knee. Knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results, in our hands.Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to take benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Kindly show me x rays before a final decision can be taken. You will be thoroughly investigated before surgery is under taken. Risk in surgery is less than the risk in crossing road.
