Hello Doctor, I am 35 year old male working in company and having 8 hours deskjob. I am taking Pentacid since 2010 for GERD. Does it has any side effect as within 4-5 days after withdrawal of drug I start feeling stomach pain. I don't drink and smoke. Shall I continue pentacid.

My 4.5 month old baby boy did nit like breast milk and formula milk. Whenever we have tried to feed him they are reacting for vomiting. Please suggest me what to do.

Any normal baby will be accepting mothers milk or formula milk. If not accepting, investigations in a hospital will need to be done and under the care of a child specialist. Till then orally juice can be started.

Mother should take a good diet of lot of proteins like dals, egg, chicken + Take whole grain foods like multigrain Atta, unpolished rice + lots of nuts like almonds, peanuts etc + Milk and Milk products like cheese, curd, paneer etc...+ Take daily fruits like banana, apple, orange etc. Drink lot of water. Eat good diet and be patient. Your son will be fine.

If baby is breast fed only or getting some cow's milk or formula milk or calcium syrup. You should withhold everything except breast feed. Secondly if stools are not hard, then it's ok with once a week frequency for stools, if baby is breast fed only.
