Good afternoon, I had a tooth ach problem frm last 4 years. Now it not paining but it is very week. Day by day its gets attacked by gems so root canal is good option for that. Or any other solution. Please help mi for that.

BDS
Dentist,
Hi, long standing deeper cavities can render the tooth non-vital and this might be the reason your tooth is not aching currently. Its advisable to consult your dentist as soon as possible and get the tooth treated, if not it might lead to serious infections in the later stages and the tooth might go for extraction.

Is there any home remedy for removing bad breath from mouth. No problem in teeth.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Keep the mouth moist by drinking water and chewing sugarless gum or sugar-free hard candy to stimulate the production of saliva. Mouthwash may temporarily mask bad breath odors, but it may not treat the underlying cause

Eating a piece of cheese after a meal helps in pulling away some of the plaque and leftover tiny food particles from meals. And since it contains calcium, it adds to the health of teeth and bones as well.

My friend having some problem on his mouth is burning when he eat anything. So give a perfect prescription for that. Thanks.

BHMS
Homeopath, Delhi
Burning in mouth can be due to mouth ulcers or stomatitis. Avoid spicy and hot food. Don't take too much ice or icy water. Apply tumeric powder on ulcers if present. Consult the doctor for more details.

Try to save a knocked out tooth. If possible, hold the tooth back in place while you seek immediate dental advice. If this is not possible, wrap the tooth in plastic or place it in milk and seek dental advice immediately.

Gum diseases can be treated and reversed in their initial stages very easily. By getting the accumulated tartar and plaque removed by a dentist, there is a chance that they can get better without much ado.

I consult good dentist and cleaned my teeth. He said I have some stomach problems thats why bad breath is coming can you pls say some tips to recover from it.

Tongue cleaning and flossing is very important in maintaining oral hygiene brushing alone can't help it. And use of mouthwash regularly is utmost important in bad breath. Ya stomach problem is 1 cause of persisting bad breath. If you often feel thirsty is another cause if you have got your cleaning done correctly I just advise you to consume lots of water, use freshchlor (mouthwash) directly without diluting it. Tongue cleaning with tongue cleaner and flossing after every meals. If you have any other findings like cavity or deccay that is another reason of bad breath. You can take pantoacid cap once daily for 5 days if acidity is problem rest you can consult once if you have chronic problem like since 1 years or so many months.

I have only 7 teeth, I plan to go for artificial tooth, which way I can go with less pain and less stress.

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
At your age, the best option for getting artificial teeth would be dental implants. There are other options like removable dentures too. Be rest assured that any treatment is almost painless.

My dentine, enamel over my front teeth is scrapped off. What should I do? Is that recoverable by polishing or something equivalent of that?

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
Lybrate-user, if you have lost enamel and dentine of your front teeth because of any reason then you can get tooth colored fillings done with the same. Polishing will never help you get back your original tooth material.

BDS (Gold Medalist)

Dear Lybrate user, mouth ulcers most commonly occur due to stress. If they are recurring repeatedly, you should consult a general physician. Increasing water and fluid intake, maintaining good oral hygiene, avoiding spicy and fried food might help in curbing them to some extent.

Hello sir I have one problem my teeth are very pain I am very sad so please sir help mi sir my two teeth pain only so please please help mi sir.

MDS - Periodontics
Dentist, Surat
Usually, dental pain is because of infected pulp. And taking painkillers will not help much. If you need a permanent relief, you have to consult a dentist. Get your xray done and let him advice the necessary treatment. For the time being, you can take any drug having paracetamol 500 mg 2/3 times a day to manage pain. Remember, with medications pain will subside but it is not a permanent solution.

I am having problem of gum bleeding and stones farm on my teeths cavity problem any suggestion.

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Bleeding gums and loosening of gums may happen because of collection of hard deposits called as tartar (as you said stones) on your teeth. This happens because of some shortcoming in the brushing technique wherein the plaque (a soft film of food, saliva, & bacteria) which forms on the teeth. Once tatar is deposited, it cannot be removed by routine home care. You will require a professional cleaning of teeth to get rid of the deposited tartar. Once cleaning has been done, brush twice a day using a technique recommended / demonstrated by your dentist. Rinse vigorously after every meal. Get a check up done every 6 months.

I have a huge pain in my teeth and I had done a scan also to my tooth which option will be better whether shall I do root canal or remove the teeth.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Root canal treatment is the best option where you can save our own teeth. It includes removal of infected pulp and restoring it with medicated material. It is the permanent solution for decayed tooth.

Mean while since last two months I am feeling heaviness in my head and mild giddiness. I am bp patient 140/90 after medication (revalol xl 50 and envas 10). My sugar level fasting 110 after metformin 500 sr. What should I do for my giddiness and heaviness in my head.

BDS

I agree with the doctors advice that you need to c the dentist coz your a senior citizen and being careless or ignoring the complaints than it may cause more problem. Sensitivity can be of many reasons now that you took medicine you may not have but you need to know wats the problem, dn't be afraid. Whatever feasible treatment you need the dentist will do that only.
