I had cancer 2 years back, and also have hypertension, thyroid under control, diabetes, osteoarthritis, pains in legs and neuro problems due to chemo. Go for walk daily . Avoid stress. Some Relax during work. Drink more water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. You can take Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, Avoid protein diets,bad habits , fast food/fat/oily,salty foods. Coffee, smoking, alcohol intake. Non-veg., take whole grain,oats,green veg.,plenty of water in day time, 1 glass of water at night before bed.

Weight loss is definitely will help you b'coz it weight bearing joint. For acute pain tk physiotherapy treatment and exercises it will help you you can avoid surgery if your knee is not completely damage physio is best option to reduce pain and movement.

Problem is that I was in depression, anxiety disorder and breathing problem like happen and when it starts my hand and legs started to pain after drinking water am getting relief ,I got treatment with neurologist and cardiologist they did test of Hb and EEG of brain report was normal and they gave me medicine but am not getting relief the attack of breathing (huffni) is cautious what should I do please help me mam.

Hi lybrate-user, what you are describing sounds like an anxiety attack and since you have already been diagnosed with anxiety I suggest that in addition to medication, you should get to the root of the issue. Try some pranayam and yoga. I would also advise that you seek help from a professional counsellor. Hope you feel better soon.

Patient is suffering from Spondyloarthropathy( Ankylosing Spondylitis) . It is an inflammatory disease where various joints and spine is involved causing stiffness and pain. Regarding treatment, exercise plays an important role. Make back stretching and cardiovascular exercises like walking and swimming a part of your life. This will keep your joints mobile and also prevent pain. Medicines are to be taken for prevention of disease progression. I don't have knowledge about role of Homeopathy in such conditions. You don't have to stop going to gym at all in fact it is good to work out regularly. But in moderation otherwise the muscles will get fatigued easily I think you should do maximum a one and half an hour regularly. Have rest in between giving gap you must drink plenty of water by mouth. Otherwise you will develop cramps.

Identify the midpoint between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem.

Hi if you have localized back pain with - no neurological symptoms like numbness, paresthesia, weakness in limbs etc, my advice is: - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a physiotherapist and then at home. - avoid forward bending, lifting heavy weights etc - take an analgesic like diclofenac or something which suits your body for 5-7 days - take muscle relaxant for same time as analgesic to relieve muscle spasm - ice packs at the site of pain, muscle spasm - local analgesic spray can be used but no massage is required let me know in a week time how you are feeling. I will actually ask you to get x ray of involved region of spine (ap & lateral) and send reports across to me so that I can advise further in a better manner. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Knee pain more than 2 weeks: if your knee is paining since 2 weeks, then you have to rethink whether you had any injury in the previous years. I also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. As arthritis is very common if anyone would've neglected any injury in the previous years. You can take Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation.

I am suffering from right knee joint pain, since last two weeks to relive the pain while waking I am using elastic tubular knee caps. You can take any medicines from pathy of your choice. Being an orthopaedic surgeon, I would like to advise you some exercises for knee and some precautions to be taken to increase strength of knees and decrease pain. Cycling and swimming are good for knees. Avoid squatting and sitting cross legged and you will get long term benefits..
