Hello doctor, I am 22 weeks pregnant and taking aldomet 250 mg after dinner and one baby aspirin everyday as I have bp issues. It never have been spiked higher than 140/100. But it keeps on fluctuating sometimes 135/80 sometimes 140/90. I have cut down on salt but I do take stress. Can I deliver healthy baby as I have bp issues in just 22 weeks. How to reduce stress over little things?

Pregnancy test will come positive only after 7th to 10th missed day. If the pain is fixed and more to one side lower down in abdomen, you will need to visit a Gyn. If you have been getting similar symptoms on the days prior to periods, then it may be coming in a day or two. If you think the pain is abnormal or more severe than before, visit a doctor right away.

Normally one week before and one week after your periods is considered safe period in a normal monthly cycle of 28 days but as such this is also not 100% safe you can get a cut inserted which can avoid pregnancy from three to ten years depending upon your requirements.

If baby has moved whole day then it is serious issue go and see your doctor immediately and get examined for foetal well being. At this stage you should keep a track on foetal well being by keeping kick count. It is done by counting foetal movements for one hour after breakfast, lunch and dinner. If total count is 10 or more in these 3 hrs then baby is fine nothing to worry but if it is less then see your doctor immediately and get colour doppler usg for foetal hypoxia detection.

Sleep Deprivation - 7 Negative Effects Of Sex Life

MBBS
Sexologist, Gurgaon
Sleep Deprivation - 7 Negative Effects Of Sex Life

Many men claim to get by on 4-5 hours of sleep a day but robbing the body of its required sleep has a number of side effects. The human body requires a minimum of 8 hours of sleep a day. There are two main reasons men don't get enough sleep: intentionally staying awake late at night and sleep disorders such as insomnia, sleep apnea etc. Here's how depriving your body of sleep can harm your sexual health.
Less testosterone
The male body produces testosterone while he sleeps. When the body does not get adequate sleep and rest, it produces less testosterone. As the insomnia continues, this situation worsens. This leads to a low sex drive and poor libido.
Low self esteem
Testosterone also influences the way the body stores fat and hence less testosterone can also lead to gynecomastia. This is condition where male bodies develop breasts as a result of an increase in body fat. Lowered testosterone levels in a male body also lead to reduced muscle strength and hence an overall lower sense of well being.
Erectile dysfunction
Inadequate sleep can result in obstructive sleep apnea. This is linked to the lowered levels of testosterone in the body as patients with sleep apnea do not reach the stage of REM sleep when testosterone is produced. Thus, sleep apnea can lead to erectile dysfunction where a man is unable to get or maintain an erection while having sex.
Low sperm count
Testosterone plays an important role in sperm production. The relation between the two is simple: the higher the testosterone levels; the more the body produces sperm. Thus if you do not get adequate sleep, your sperm count can be affected leading to infertility.
Sexual misunderstanding
Sleep deprivation can affect your decision making and understanding of the other person's intentions. Thus if you haven't slept properly, you are more likely to make uncalled for sexual advances and misunderstand your partner's sexual expectations.
Accelerates aging
The body sheds dead cells and grows new cells while it sleeps. Thus if the body is deprived of adequate sleep, the gaining process is accelerated. Not only does this bring on an early onset of wrinkles but it also lowers your sexual drive. Lowered testosterone may also lead to early balding.
Fatigue
If the body doesn't get its required rest, you start the day feeling tired instead of refreshed. As the day goes on, this tiredness increases and is accompanied by irritability and aggression. When you're in such a bad moon and constantly tired the chances of wanting to be physically intimate with another person decrease. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Sexologist.

Hi there I have syphilis I am taking treatment for that so please tell it is totally curable or it's not curable marriage proposals are coming Nowadays so shall have mutual bed sharing with my partner or not I feel scary does it spread to her also is there any problem if we give birth to a baby please reply is there any solution.

PGD IN ULTRAASONOGRAPHY, Non invasive cardiology course, MD - Medicine, MBBS
General Physician, Narnaul
Yes. If it is treated early enough, syphilis can be cured completely by modern treatment before any permanent damage is done to the body. It is imperative that syphilis is diagnosed and treated in its very early stage. This also helps prevent its spreading. But most of the patients try to heal the ulcer and neglect the disease in the blood. People who have had syphilis cured can catch it again if they expose themselves to the risk of infection.

Working During Pregnancy - Know The Do's And Dont's

Working During Pregnancy - Know The Do's And Dont's

Pregnancy is one of the most wonderful, but exhausting times of a woman's life. There are a quite a few precautions you need to take and quite a few factors you need to consider before doing anything. Take for example working during pregnancy. Working while you're pregnant can be challenging, but if you keep these do's and don'ts in mind, it can become an easy task.

Do: Take Adequate Rest

The first few weeks of pregnancy can take a toll on your body. If your sleep schedule is off, you need to fix it and sleep for the usual 8-9 hours a day. If you undertake a lot of physically strenuous work or even if have a desk job, you need to take a break as it can get very taxing for you. To avoid work-related exhaustion and stress, take frequent breaks to give your body the rest it requires.  Speak to a doctor or trainer for simple stretches that will help you alleviate stress on your joints and keep you muscles relaxed.

Do: Be Smart About Your Work

Jobs that require heavy lifting must be avoided at all costs as they can give rise to severe complications during pregnancy. When you're pregnant you should also avoid work that regularly exposes you to radiation, harmful chemicals, lead and X-rays. Ask your supervisor to shift the sort of work you are doing as often it's illegal to continue working in conditions that actively harm your pregnancy.

Do: Take Multivitamins and Necessary Supplements

Work often doesn't leave you with enough time to take good care of yourself. You may end up skipping meals due to a hectic work schedule, which can lead to vitamin and mineral deficiencies. To keep the worst effects of this kind of a lifestyle at bay, make sure to take your multivitamins and supplements religiously and regularly.

Do: Be Super Hygienic

It is extremely important to maintain high standards of personal hygiene and sanitation during your pregnancy. This becomes even more important if you work in an environment that exposes you to infectious diseases, raw meats and children. Keep a hand sanitizer with you at all times, and make sure you don't ingest anything that has come into contact with contagions.

Don't: Go For Long Stretches Without Eating

Keeping your stomach empty during pregnancy can have a lot of unwanted effects ranging from bloating, acidity and gas to nausea or vomiting. Have a light breakfast and keep snacking on small portions of nutritious food throughout the day. Also, ensure that you maintain optimum fluid intake. The regular 8-10 glasses of water a day is an absolute must.

Don't: Be Stressed

Stress during pregnancy can have damaging effects on your and your baby's health, severely affecting the physical and mental development of your unborn child. Avoid taking on extra work for the duration of your pregnancy. Lighten your workload as much as you can and make sure to take meditation and baby-safe yoga classes to keep your stress in check.

As long as you take these simple precautions, you can continue to work throughout your pregnancy. So, remember to follow these guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy experience for both you and your growing baby. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Gynaecologist.

As you have sex with three persons chances of hiv are there if either is infected with hiv. It is better you ask all three for hiv test to be tension free today. Other wise you have to wait for 3 month (window period) to finaly rule out hiv transfer.

What does corpus luteum cyst shows increased peripheral vascular in right ovary means?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
A corpus luteum cyst is a type of ovarian cyst which may rupture about the time of menstruation, and take up to three months to disappear entirely. A corpus luteum cyst rarely occurs at age 50+, because eggs are no longer being produced in menopausal women. Corpus luteum cysts may contain blood and other fluids.

If you also agreed for dual method then apply some lubricant like oil or baseline for easiness. If you not like second method then you talk with your partner and tell him about your problem.
