Hello, It is difficult to comment as no investigations can be performed on the foetus. If there is no foetal pole development even at 8 weeks then its an anembryonic pregnancy which should be terminated as its a failed pregnancy. its natural selection.

Dear user. Do you expect her to be pregnant? FERTILE PHASE is the phase of a female's menstrual cycle when an egg (ovule) is released from the ovaries. In humans, ovulation occurs about midway through the menstrual cycle, after the follicular phase. The few days surrounding ovulation (from approximately days 10 to 18 of a 28 day cycle), constitute the most fertile phase. So if you have ejaculatory sexual inter course from day 10 from the first day of period and to day 20, the chances of pregnancy are much more. There are many determinants of pregnancy. You should be sexually matured. Your partner should be sexually matured. The period of your partner should be in the fertile stage. Her egg and your sperm cells should healthy enough. Then her uterus should be capable to get conceived. If all these were satisfied, the pregnancy could be a result. Take care.

Hello, You should complete the protocol as advised by your synecologist as there is no surety if 4 tabs would be enough to cause completion of abortion .

All About Endometrial Cancer

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, MBBS, DGO
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
All About Endometrial Cancer

Cancer that originates in the uterus is termed as Endometrial Cancers. The cancer is known to originate in the endometrium i.e. lining as well as the cells of the uterus. Abnormal vaginal bleeding causes the cancer to be detected early and a consultation with the doctor should be done immediately. When other cancers originating from the uterus are considered, endometrial cancer is found to be the most common.

Causes: The exact cause for endometrial cancer is not known clearly. The cells in the endometrium tend to become abnormal due to the occurrence of a genetic mutation, which causes rapid multiplication of cells that ultimately lead to the formation of a tumour like mass. They begin to spread to other parts and proceed to affect the tissues in the surrounding areas.

Symptoms:
The typical symptoms of endometrial cancer include:

  1. 1. Irregular bleeding in between periods
  2. 2. A watery discharge from the vagina
  3. 3. Bleeding from the vagina postmenopausal
  4. 4. Pain in the pelvic floor muscles

Risk factors that might increase the chances of being affected by endometrial cancer include:

  1. 1. Aging increases the chances of this disease, especially post menopause.
  2. 2. Obesity can cause hormonal imbalance.
  3. 3. Certain drugs used in hormone therapy
  4. 4. Early onset of menstruation, especially before 12 years of age

Treatment for Endometrial Cancer Includes:

  1. Radiation therapy: This treatment procedure involves using radiations, such as X-rays to target and destroy the cancer cells. The two forms of radiation therapy are external radiation therapy (external machine is used to direct radiation on the cancer cells) and internal radiation therapy (radioactive substance enclosed within small and consumable items is placed near to or directly at the spot of cancer).
  2. Hormone therapy: Medications are administered to eliminate imbalances in hormone levels and prohibit the growth of cancer cells in the body. This remedy is preferred if the cancer progresses to an advanced stage.
  3. Chemotherapy: This form of treatment uses oral administration or injection of chemicals into the veins so that the growth of cancerous cells is curbed, either by elimination of the cells or by prohibiting cell division.
  4. Surgery: In this surgery, the areas affected by cancer are surgically removed; i.e. the uterus in this case. The surgical procedures that might be used include total hysterectomy (total removal of uterus), radical hysterectomy (removal of the cervix, uterus and part of the vagina) and Bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (removal of both the ovaries and the fallopian tubes)

Hello this is not the time to worry regarding your sisters fertility as she is unmarried. But definitely we have to treat her for pcod. In the treatment of pcod instead of medicine we should mainly focus on weight reduction. Now she is taking metformin means in her body insulin resistance is already set in. We need to treat that. Then only her hormones will be in harmony with body organs and she will get normal menses. Pcod management can't be done at this platform it needs personal attention and care.

I had last year 2 continuous abortions. Know am agin got pregnancy what precautions should I take to be safe.
Your doctor will prescribe folic acid and dydrogesterone if ultrasound shows a viable pregnancy. Some specialised tests will be required to rule out rarer causes of abortion and to look for chromosomal anomaly. Repeated ultrasound will be needed to assess the condition of the uterus, cervix (uterus mouth) and development of the baby. You should drink adequate ro filtered water and fluids. Avoid activities requiring prolonged standing. Avoid strenuous activity. Diet should be simple and homemade. Avoid oily and fried items and dry meats. Increase sleep by 2 hours. Avoid intercourse. Do not stay in the room where there is too much noise, smoking, etc.

It has been seen in households where excessive food / junk food is consumed.. everyone in the house, spouses.. children.. ultimately suffers from weight related lifestyle diseases like Hypertension, Diabetes, Cholesterol, Heart Diseases, Joint Pains, Obesity etc... While Diabetes etc is not transmitted through Sex... but definitely these diseases are transmitted through Food Habits. It is recommended that as couple you can take diet counselling to ensure that such problems are naturally controlled.

I have the bulky uterus in cervical size 9.3 mm, and my age is 33, is it possible to operate as its really hard for me to face hormonal changes.

MBBS, MD Obs & Gynae, FNB Reproductive Medicine
Gynaecologist, Jalandhar
Don't go by ultrasonic dimensions of the uterus. U have to get a per speculam examination and pap smear. And bulky uterus is sometimes an effect of child birth . You should look at the symptoms that u have like excessive bleeding Pain during periods rapidly increasing fibroid etc Then it forms indication of hysterectomy And the ovaries can be preserved then it will not cause menopausal symptoms.
