Chiropractic and Physiotherapy Advice for Prolapsed Intevertebral Disc!

Chiropractic and Physiotherapy Advice for Prolapsed Intevertebral Disc!

Bending over the sink to shave, wash your face, or brush your teeth can put tremendous pressure on the lumbar discs, especially for the first hour and a half after rising. Shaving in the shower helps to limit bending at the waist. An inexpensive mirror placed in the shower can help reduce disc irritation. Also, remember that the first hour and a half in the morning is the most dangerous time to bend forward at the waist. Always limit bending at the waist, but especially early in the day.

  • Shaving in the shower will protect the lumbar disc by eliminating the need to bend over the sink.
  • You may avoid early morning flexion by also brushing your teeth in the shower. To prevent injury while shaving or brushing your teeth at the sink, use a foot stool for one leg and pivot at the hips. Use your free hand to provide additional support on the countertop.
  • Utilizing a foot stool may also help to reduce pressure on the lower back. You may avoid early morning flexion by also brushing your teeth in the shower. To prevent injury while shaving or brushing your teeth at the sink, use a foot stool for one leg and pivot at the hips. Use your free hand to provide additional support on the countertop.

Go for ayurveda's panchkarma therapy - we have many option for you - kati basti, localised massgae with herbal oils, localised medicated steam, pottali massage. Hii lybrate-user. The testicular pain might also be related to disc compressing l1 root, the scrotal skin has dermatome l1, but also consult a surgeon for a detailed testicular examination and abdominal examination. Mri lumbosacral spine with screening of whole spine will reveal a disc compressing l1 root.

You can use lumber belt for support. * do regular back strength exercises. Move your clockwise and anticlock wise. * do not sleep on very soft bed, sleep on slight hard cotton mattress. * do tadasana and bhjangasana for back strengthening. Hello backache can be due to incorrect posture. First try to correct your posture. If you need to go on long drives than try to take breaks in between. You can also do some stretching exercises and yoga to strengthen your back muscles. Alternate hot and cold fomentation can also be done. If the pain persist even after taking the above management, than go for back xray and consult me afterwards.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. You will have to elaborate her complaints in detail: 1) what weakness are you talking, is it generalized fatigue after work? 2) which joints are affected, whats been the duration of joint pains? how much distance can she walk normally and what medicines is she taking on a daily basis? such issues can be due to anemia or deficiency of certain minerals and vitamins in body. I advise you to send me all investigations so that I can see and then advise you accordingly. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards Dr Akshay Kumar Saxena
