I Have Been In A Serious Problem These Days My Exams Are Approaching And I Am Experiencing A Lot Of Sleep These Days.
Sleep problems during exams are understandable due to anticipated worries of results and related performance anxiety. A good, relaxing and refreshing sleep of 8-10 hours is essential everyday to rejuvinate the brain for new learning, since most of the brain repair takes place during sleep only. If you have been depriving yourself of the much needed sleep then you might feel sleepy during the day while you study. If you are sleeping 8-10 hours daily and still facing sleepiness, consult me at your convenience.

No dear, masturbation doesn't affect healthy life at all. It has no relation with headache, stomach upset, low sperm count, dark circles around eyes or acne or pimples.

Does apple cider vinegar helps reducing blood sugar. And if so what is the dosage of 50 years of age female.

Does apple cider vinegar helps reducing blood sugar. And if so what is the dosage of 50 years of age female.
Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Diabetes or raised blood glucose can only be controlled by proper medication, diet control and exercise. All the other things are possibly only supportive medications at the best. As regards the use of Apple Cider Vinegar, the evidence of its benefits in controlling blood glucose is very scanty. There are no properly done clinical studies to back it. So my suggestion is to follow the time tested treatment line- proper drugs, diet control, exercise and weight control. Thanks.

Lybrate-user, the condition being described looks like he had an attack of hypoglycemia. Did you check his blood glucose level then? if blood glucose level goes below 70 mg or lower like <60 mg or even lower, patient may get such attacks. It is important to achieve a strict blood glucose control, but equally important thing is not to allow episodes of hypoglycemia. Severe hypoglycemia can be very dangerous, particularly in elderly persons. If you have a glucometer at home, it is better to check glucose level. If it is low, then it is essential to give glucotabs 2 or 3 tabs cor candy, sugar ar some sweet etc can help. Thanks.

My father is diabetes patient my father diabetes is oldest 4 year please doctor help my father.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
My father is diabetes patient my father diabetes is oldest 4 year please doctor help my father.
Diabetes affects all organs in the body – Eyes, kidneys, nerves, reproductive system all are affected, In fact, from toe to hair. For diabetic control, patient and doctor should be in constant touch for regular follow up and advice. The common symptoms are :-Both types of diabetes have some of the same tell-tale warning signs. Hunger and fatigue. Your body converts the food you eat into glucose that your cells use for energy. But your cells need insulin to bring the glucose in. If your body doesn't make enough or any insulin, or if your cells resist the insulin your body makes, the glucose can't get into them and you have no energy. This can make you more hungry and tired than usual. Urinating more often and being thirstier. The average person usually has to pee between four and seven times in 24 hours, but people with diabetes may go a lot more. Dry mouth and itchy skin. Because your body is using fluids to make pee, there's less moisture for other things. You could get dehydrated, and your mouth may feel dry. Dry skin can make you itchy. Blurred vision. Changing fluid levels in your body could make the lenses in your eyes swell up. They change shape and lose their ability to focus. Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both. It is a difficult task to control blood sugar in the desired normal range. Whatever we eat is metabolised to sugar in the body to provide energy for our daily activities. For the absolute control, one has to monitor his / her blood sugar at regular intervals (Self-Monitoring of Blood glucose – SMBG). Though difficult, this can be done by a glucometer and keep a record. Get an idea of Fasting sugar (FBS) and 2 hours after food (PPBS), & HbA1C (inform me) and check before dinner and after every major food. The basic idea is to reduce the food intake to 1/3 of what you take now. The dictum of sugar control is diet, exercise, diet + medicine and at later stage medicine+ Insulin will be needed. There are different diet plans of varying calories for each person depending on his activity & life style. For diabetes, hypertension (high BP) and many long-term illness control there is the need for regular advice and follow up. Just one time consultation or advice is not enough to guide a diabetic in scientifically & medically correct manner. For giving you regular follow up you ask me with all details like your daily eating pattern and medicines you take. I assure you a proper guidance. If you keep in touch personally. Masturbation is a very healthy form of sexual outlet, do not feel guilty about it. Nearly 99% of men and more than 60% of women masturbate. It starts from adolescence and goes on in some people even till death. The pleasure (orgasm) from masturbation is said to be unique from sexual intercourse. In men, most of the liquid contains only water and some fructose and hormones. Hence it does not drain your energy. Many equate masturbation/ seminal fluid loss to lack of energy, impotency and so on. Many quacks, religious heads and pseudo healers also propagate the idea that masturbation is a disorder/ and wrongful behavior and instil fear on the mind of innocent men and women (we can see posters in train and bus stand, offering help for this behavior). Consult a psychiatrist, if you have excessive masturbation guilt or compulsive masturbation. Compulsive masturbation is when a person continues with frequent masturbation neglecting his/ her other work like education, job or social obligations. In fact masturbation reduces the sexual tension and helps focus on task at hand better.
