What are the success rate of ivy ad test tube baby any side effect from this please advice.

What are the success rate of ivy ad test tube baby any side effect from this please advice.
Success rate again depends on ivf centre. Throughout world take home baby rate is 28% and pregnancy rate is 50%. Ohss is a complication of ivf but with advanced technology, that has also beed brought down. Also do not forget to cryopreservation of the embryo to reduce the cost next time around.

She had already urine test. Positive report. But now she 2 month finish but no result of periods.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist,
She had already urine test. Positive report. But now she 2 month finish but no result of periods.
A positive urine pregnancy test means the person is most likely to be pregnant. When pregnancy occurs, there is no menses. Thats why she is not having periods. Even if she takes pills to get menses, the period will not come. If you want the pregnancy, go to a gynecologist who will guide you about the tablets, and diet, and other things to be taken to help the baby grow and prevent abnormalities. If you do not want the pregnancy then too you have to consult the gynecologist as abortion methods will be provided only by a registered gynecologist if you want to confirm the pregnancy you can go for another pregnancy test or a sonography.

If a female is HIV affected and done intercourse at the time of her periods, would it affect her partner or not?

BASM, MD, MS (Counseling & Psychotherapy), MSc - Psychology, Certificate in Clinical psychology of children and Young People, Certificate in Psychological First Aid, Certificate in Positive Psychology, Positive Psychiatry and Mental Health
Psychologist, Palakkad
Dear user. HIV Spreads through Contact between broken skin, wounds, or mucous membranes and HIV-infected blood or blood-contaminated body fluids. Deep, open-mouth kissing if both partners have sores or bleeding gums and blood from the HIV-positive partner gets into the bloodstream of the HIV-negative partner. HIV is not spread through saliva. In this case, there is risk of HIV. Take care.

Today I got my hormonal blood tests results. That's very disappointing as I am trying to conceive from 6 months. My reports- TSH-4.46 FSH-8.8, LH-5.05,AMH-0.43 mlng/ml, 3.07 FTH-1.11. Doctor told me that my AMH level is low. Then she did baseline usg IMB. In usg ET-1.6×1.4.She said I should conceive as quickly as possible in 2-3 cycle otherwise I can't conceive. What actually does my reports show? She will perform HSG before this. I am really worried. please let me know what to do. Please guide me I want to conceive naturally. Don't want to go for IVF.

Ideal treatment for you would be IVF and that too as soon as possible taking into account your ovarian reserve. Wud not suggest to go in for iui .no role of hsg if ivf is planned .rather hysteroscopy might be needed.

Dear Lybrate user, A pregnancy in the cornual part of uterus maybe an ectopic pregnancy and it may have serious implications on your health and future reproductive potential. Please consult your Gynaecologist urgently for a thorough examination & a detailed workup to correctly diagnose your condition & plan immediate interventional measures for management of the condition. This is not a condition which can be treated on a long distance consultation & it is imperative to get in touch with your local gynaecologist as soon as possible. Regards.

My mother is 48 yrs old. She has irregular periods with heavy bleeding. She consult with the doctor, and doc is saying from last 1year that now its time to stop the menstruation period, but nothing happened. My mother has to suffer alot of pain with heavy blood flow every month. Please suggest what to do. Thanks in advance!

MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Ludhiana
Hi excessive bleeding in periods at this age is very common & there are many causes including dysfunctional uterine bleeding, fibroid uterus, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, polyps, malignancy, some drugs etc. Most important is to diagnose the exact cause & treat accordingly. To say simply that it is because of menopause (or to say that its time to stop the periods, as commonly said), without relevant investigations to rule out above mentioned causes, its not wise to call it normal variation. So your mother needs _ 1- complete gynaecological examination 2- ultrasound abdomen 3- blood tests, which must include hb, cbc, blood sugar, thyroid function test & complete urine examination 4- lastly, a premenstrual endometrial biopsy. Get done all tests & discuss with me after you get all reports. Till then, ensure that she has good healthy diet, proper rest & stress free life.
