Easy Meals That You Can Eat Before & While Traveling!

Traveling is a wonderful way to explore new places, cultures and even exciting cuisines. But before you reach your destination, it is essential to decide what you must eat and what you must avoid before and while traveling. This is because certain meals or snacks can upset your stomach easily or cause a feeling of heaviness, nausea, bloating or sluggishness. The key is to eat light and it is always better to carry fresh homemade food instead of eating out. 

The benefits of carrying homemade food while you are traveling

  1. Very light: Homemade food is very light and can be digested easily. Eating light is very important during travel, as no one wants to spend their time with an upset stomach or constant nausea breaks. If the travel duration is long, eat light for at least two days prior to the day of travel.

  2. Flexibility: Carrying homemade food gives you the flexibility to eat as per your convenience and prevents you from gobbling junk food while on the go.  

  3. Cost-effective: It is a very well-known fact that carrying your food is cost-effective than eating outside.

Foods to avoid before traveling

  1. Carbonated drinks: Sodas or beer can make you feel bloated and cause stomach pain while you travel.

  2. Salty and deep fried food: Such foods make you feel excessively thirsty and bloated as they dehydrate your body. So, avoid sugar cereals, deep-fried snacks, salty chips, and bread.

  3. Coffee: Avoid drinking too much coffee as it can cause frequent urination.

  4. Legumes and beans: These are well-known for causing gastric discomfort, thus should be avoided.

  5. High-fat foods: Stay away from cheese, cream, sausages, butter, and ham as they can lead to nausea or headaches.

  6. Others: Avoid alcohol, broccoli, cabbage, radish, turnips, peaches, barley and rye as they can lead to the formation of gas.

Foods to eat before traveling

  1. Water-rich foods: Cucumber, raw carrots, lettuce, celery, strawberries, pineapple, watermelon, and grapes are loaded with water and will keep you well-hydrated.

  2. Citrus fruits: Eat fresh oranges, plums, different kinds of berries, kiwi and grapefruit to get your dose of vitamin C and antioxidants will also keep you hydrated.

  3. Sweet potatoes: These take time to break down in your gut and release energy slowly. Plus, they are loaded with essential vitamins, manganese, potassium, dietary fibers and have less fat and sodium.

  4. Buckwheat: You can have this instead of white rice, as buckwheat is high on antioxidants. It will reduce your stress level, boost immunity, and provides sufficient magnesium to make you feel relaxed.

  5. Avocados: Loaded with healthy fats, vitamin E, potassium and folic acid, avocados are very healthy and make for yummy dips and salads. You can have it with brown rice or oats.

  6. Others: Dry fruits, lean meats, brown rice and oats are some other foods you can have.  

‚ÄčMeals to eat while traveling

Whatever you choose, make sure it should be light on the stomach, easy to pack, and carry. Some of the options that you can consider are

  1. Fruits: You can keep fruits like bananas, oranges and apples handy. These are easy to carry and eat and are light on the stomach, which makes them a great snack.

  2. Dry fruits: When you are feeling down slightly, try munching on a couple of almonds or raisins and as they uplift your mood. They also provide instant energy. However, you should be careful, so as to not consume them in excess.

  3. Simple rolls: Roti rolls or wraps are not only easy to pack but are tasty and convenient to eat when traveling. 

  4. Sandwiches: Carrying a box of whole wheat bread sandwiches are a good meal to have while traveling. As, they are easy to digest and pack.

  5. Other foods: Some other food options that you can go for are salads with healthy dressings, poha, idli, besan chila and upma, etc.

no it's not normal. just consult your Dr to rule out is it leak or white discharge. if it's white discharge them need to take anti fungal to prevent infection to baby while delivery

That is happening because of progesterone hormone which is secreted naturally by your ovary around that time. If you are suffering a lot because of this then it can be treated with 3 months course of medicine. There is no way breast size can be reduced.

Sir/Mam I am 31 years old married man, we are trying to be parent from last 5 years and already taken treatment from many qualified doctors. Sir our all reports are ok as discussed with all doctors but still result nothing. All test of mine and my wife are cleared ok. One last doctor suggested IUI but result nothing after two time IUI. You have unexplained infertility. Up to 20% couples face this problem. When no cause is found, it is most likely to be due to lower quality of the eggs or due to problem of implantation due to poor quality of embryo. These problems are seen only when IVF is being tried. They cannot be detected by routine tests. The best option seems to be IVF, even though it may be the costliest.

I had my pregnancy test done and it was positive . I am in my 4th week . I usually had milky vaginal discharge but all of sudden I had brown colored discharge yesterday night . N after taking medicine strone 100mg I did not notice brown colored discharge till now . Is it a concern with some serious issue or is it normal ?

Some brownish discharge may normally occur in the first 3 months of pregnancy which usually subsides in 2 ? 3 days. Typically it is odorless and painless. Sometimes the spotting is reddish or pinkish and subsides without any other symptoms and signs. If there is continuous brownish discharge or it changes color to red or blackish and the amount is increasing accompanied by pain abdomen, then immediate consultation with a gynecologist is necessary. Strone 100 mg, given to you, is a softgel capsule containing micronized progesterone which is used to support pregnancy and prevent miscarriage. After 1 - 2 weeks you may get an USG/ TVS done to check the viability of the embryo. Milky vaginal discharge in early pregnancy may happen normally due to increased estrogen( a hormone) production and greater blod flow to the vaginal area.

Women with low breast size use armored bras or silicon-stuffed bras, and some even put cotton, paper or silicon extensions into their bras? bonnets to look sexier and have bigger breasts shape. An undersized-breasts woman keeps feeling anxious and uncomfortable anytime she gets undressed by her partner. Adding to that, she loses self esteem and confidence and this brings even more stress into the couple.

She should immediately take emergency contraceptive pill available at medical store. You cannot detect it now.

I am 24yr old female. I have completed 5th month pregnacy. I want to ask that can I eat dry fruits during pregnancy. Please tell is it safe to it or not? and how much countity. And it is safe to eat kaju and pista?

Dry fruits in moderate quantities can be safely taken during normal pregnancy, unless there is some allergy like nut allergy. And these should not be too salty. Suggested daily quantity is four to five. Almonds contain vitamin e, unsaturated fat, protein and iron; raisins contain vitamin b-complex, iron, calcium, minerals, oleanolic acid( good for teeth), high fiber( good for constipation) and antioxidants. Dried figs are highly concentrated source of minerals and vitamins. Apricot is rich in fiber, potassium, iron and antioxidants. Dates supply magnesium, potassium and vitamins. Please all of these are supportive during pregnancy for both mother and baby. Please cashew nuts (kaju) are a rich source of vitamins( like k vitamin) and minerals( like iron, copper), besides dietary fiber, unsaturated fats and protein. Pistachios contain fiber, proteins, monosaturated fatty acids, antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acid and vitamins a & e. But roasted/ processed pistachios and cashew nuts have high level of sodium, which is undesirable in pregnancy as it is a risk factor for developing hypertension. Pistas may cause indigestion, bloating and diarrhea in some. Women with nut allergy should avoid cashew nuts and pistas.
