Eat lot of fruits & green leafy vegetables & drink plenty of water. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need Coronoplasty (smoothen teeth edges) along with T. Rebagen 10, morning one tab & one at night for 5 days, along with C. Becosules 5 cap, for five days in the morning after meals. Hexigel ointment on the area of ulcer. I have three fully impacted wisdom teeth. But they are not infected. From last 6 months I have jaw, throat, ear, tongue & tooth pains. Meanwhile I suffered from throat infection which was due to Enterobacter clocae. I have also reactive lymphnodes in neck. Can impacted wisdom teeth cause all such symptoms?

Certified Implantologist, BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
Hello lybrate-user, wisdom teeth do cause pain in and around teeth and this pain is often referred to jaw, throat and ear. If these wisdom teeth are always causing discomfort and aren't helpfull in biting or chewing food then I would suggest you to go for an intentional extraction of these teeth. I am sure you'll be much more comfortable after it.

You might need a root canal treatment in that specific tooth, visit a dentist. No medicine would work unless you get that tooth treated.

Hi Mr. Lybrate-user. First we need to know was it always the same or its happened lately. Considering your age orthodontic treatment is not an absolute indication. But in any case if your guns and bine are fine it could be considered. If cosmetic is not an issue for you for. Short while. In any case visit your dentist for alternate solutions

I have some dental problem that is my teeth is not white. please tell me the way to clean the teeth.
Hello lybrate-user you can turn into white by maintaining oral hygiene. The slight dull color of teeth is due to deposits on its surfaces. If they are dark yellow you can go for bleaching of your teeth. But if they are slightly yellow then you can try snow dent tooth paste regularly. Apply it on your teeth and wait for 10 min. After that you can even brush with it.

Hello as per your query permanent teeth are off white in colour making white coloured teeth a boon which are genetically inherited from the parents as such. Best way to clean teeth is to follow correct brushing technique twice daily along with flossing. In case you still require bright teeth then you can get bleaching done. But still the orignal colour of your teeth will return back after 9 to 12 months.

Hello. Tooth sensitivity — also known as dentin hypersensitivity — affects the tooth or exposed root surfaces. This occurs when the enamel that protects our teeth gets thinner, or when gum recession occurs, exposing the underlying surface, the dentin, thus, reducing the protection the enamel and gums provide to the tooth and root. If hot, cold, sweet or very acidic foods and drinks, or breathing in cold air, makes your teeth or a tooth sensitive or painful then you may have sensitive teeth. Tooth sensitivity can come and go over time. Causes: There are many causes of tooth sensitivity, including: Worn tooth enamel from using a hard toothbrush or brushing too aggressively Tooth erosion due to highly acidic foods and beverages Tooth erosion due to bulimia or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) Gum recession that leaves your root surface exposed There are several conditions which can cause pain, but which are not tooth sensitivity: Dental caries A cracked or chipped tooth Grinding or clenching the teeth Leakage around restorations External tooth bleaching Management: Proper oral hygiene is the key to preventing gums from receding and causing sensitive-tooth pain. If you brush your teeth incorrectly, or over-brush, your gums may become sensitive. Brushing properly twice daily for 2 minutes with toothpaste that does not have high levels of abrasives, and flossing once a day, can help reduce the chance of tooth sensitivity. A diet low in acidic foods (tomatoes, pickles, tea, citrus fruits) and drinks also helps prevent tooth sensitivity. Treatment: Apply Plantago Q/ few drops on cotton swab, place it on the affected teeth and press it tightly, do it thrice a day. Orally, take Mag. Phos. 6x/ after every 2 hours. Do visit a dentist for proper diagnosis, share the reports with me. In case possible, will help you in treating your problem.

My recent 10+ month problem is early morning wake up with bad foul smell from mouth before brush. Please advise.

My recent 10+ month problem is early morning wake up with bad foul smell from mouth before brush. Please advise.
Bad breath can be reduced or prevented if you: practice good oral hygiene. Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste to remove food debris and plaque. Don't forget to brush the tongue, too. Replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months or after an illness. Use floss or an interdental cleaner to remove food particles and plaque between teeth once a day. See your dentist regularly -- at least twice a year. He or she will conduct an oral exam and professional teeth cleaning and will be able to detect and treat periodontal disease, dry mouth, or other problems that may be the cause of bad mouth odor. Drink lots of water. This will keep your mouth moist. Chewing gum (preferably sugarless) stimulates the production of saliva, which helps wash away food particles and bacteria.

Hi, there is no natural method to remove plaque you have to visit a dentist to get your scaling and polishing done every 6 months which will remove plaque and calculus accumulation. The notion about teeth becoming loose after scaling by a dentist is absolutely false.
