To lose weight, you have to maintain an input-output ratio. Whatever food you eat contains the input calories which gives you the output calories in the form of energy. If your input calories is too much, you are likely to put on weight. The best way to lose weight is to exercise or spend the additional calories accumulated in your body in the form of fat. The other most important thing is to eat wisely. Try to cut down the excessive calories you are eating and make sure whatever you eat is healthy. Some tips to lose weight - 1. Have more fruits and vegetables than junk food and juices. 2. Avoid sugar as much as you can 3. Exercise 3-4 times a week. 4. Have an early dinner, preferably before 8 p. M. 5. Do not starve yourself. Eat small meals 5 times a day. 6. Have barley soup in dinner and avoid rice at night. 7. Drink lots of water daily.

No mam, only disproportion due to adherence of breast tissues to chest wall or enlargement of breast due to lump is suspicious. Some amount of natural disproportion is usually present in some females. Look for any lump or thickening. Since you are young you can get an ultrasound done to look for any small lump or lesion.

Swelling is in the Testis or close to testis. It will be better if you consult a general surgeon to rule out other swelling in this region like inguinal hernia, hydrocele etc.

There is no specific food or diet which protects you from recurrence. But studies have shown that people who eat healthy and exercise regularly after completing cancer treatment live longer and also tolerate treatment better in case of recurrence. Don't eat junk, don't overeat, exercise daily, do yoga. All these things have a supporting role.

From your question it seems like you have not undergone any operative procedure for right CA breast. So there are high chances of the cancer spreading to the opposite breast, which might be causing pain in left chest/breast as you say. Also, CA breast commonly spreads to back bones of vertebral column and cause back pain. Herceptin also should be given only after cardiac examination, and is often given with other chemotherapy drugs, which you did not mention here. So, I'll advise you to meet a oncosurgeon or a general surgeon in person and get examined, and be prepared to undergo some investigations.

It is necessary that if my Mom had Breast Cancer then at certain age I can also get diagnosed? Please advice me.

Not necessarily all breast cancer are genetic. Most of them are due to life style related or due to hormonal imbalance. Still you should do breast self examination on monthly basis five days after periods are completed and after forty or may be earlier you can go for annual mammography.

Genetic changes that cause cancer can be inherited from our parents. They can also arise during a person’s lifetime as a result of errors that occur as cells divide or because of damage to DNA caused by certain environmental exposures. Cancer-causing environmental exposures include substances, such as the chemicals in tobacco smoke, and radiation, such as ultraviolet rays from the sun. no prevention. thanks

Dear lybrate user, prostate infection is common in young people like you, it is uncommon to get prostate infection unless it is not functioning the way it should, that is to say if you abstain from sex the chances of infection rises, however infection in prostate takes long time to subside as few drugs only can penetrate and reach prostate, my suggestion is try to empty the prostatic secretions by indulging in safe sex as much as you can and use antibiotics, you should see a senior urologist in your area and be patient enough and use medicines prescribed by the doctor.

Hi Between the age of 15-25 years, benign (non cancerous) lumps in the breast (fibroadenomas) are very common. They are usually painless but can sometimes cause pain. Another cause of breast pain could be the hormonal changes during your periods. You should get an ultrasound of the breast, to make sure that the lump is not suspicious. If it is a small fibroadenoma, it can be managed non-operatively.
