Hi thanks for your query. I am dr akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually you do not need tab linezolid after normal spine surgeries. If there was an infection, then your medications have to conrinue in supervision and as required. I need to know what is current wound status, your latest cbc, esr and crp values etc to be able to comment. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards Dr Akshay kumar saxena Consultant orthopaedics fortis hospital, new delhi

That may be due to lifting heavy weight, reduce the weight or wait for some days till pain subside. If you do that even when pain is on there are chance that you may send up suffering from some muscle tear or any other grave damage to your body.

Consult a good orthopaedic doctor near your place, who can advice you better. if Fracture is there then it need to be fixed. For ACL ligament injury we need to check the grade in which it fall. if it's grade 3 it's a case of tear. And you need to go for extended treatment which can include surgery as well. get well soon regards

I am 20 year old and my every bone joints are very painful before 3 weeks and please tell me what to do?
Pain in all the joints for 3 weeks could be a sign of arthritis, like Rheumatoid arthritis or Spondyloarthropathy, specially if you have morning stiffness of joints. Observe the following lifestyle changes to get relief. 1. Walking and cardiovascular exercises daily. 2. Swimming is beneficial. 3. Diet rich in Calcium. 4. Take anti inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen if pain is severe. If your problem persists and is severe, you need to undergo tests for diagnosis and treatment

It could be due to cervical spondylosis this is quite a common condition rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days caldikind plus (mankind) 1 tab odx10days do neck & back (spine) exercises use of cervical collar will give you relief. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you will need other supportive medicines also. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

It looks like you are anaemic. If you have back pain after you sit for long hours then it is due to your haemoglobin levels as it is important to check that. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain.

Hi, thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc and with no other associated constitutional symptoms like evening rise in temperature, loss of weight, excessive sweating at night etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.
