I am having pain starting from the base of the neck and covering the back of the head. The pain is persistent and pulsating and throughout the day. There is heaviness in the shoulders also when I wake up in the morning. Is this cervical spondylitis? What are the remedies for this?

I have pain in left side of chest with shoulder when I do rest not pain when I am doing exercise I have done 4 time ecg and 2 d echo both are normal my cholesterol is 179 and ldl is 129 and hdl is 52 and vldl is 15 and trigelcride is 79 and non hdl is 125 homocysteine is 39 vitamin b12 deficiency and vta mene d too.

Dear lybrateuser, - As your investigations are normal, your pain chest pain could be due to muscular & other soft tissue problem - avoid exercise, bending, lifting weight till pain subsides - do hot fomentation of the affected area three times a day - apply pain relief gel 2-3:times a day - take a pain relief tablet after meals if pain is more - do x- ray chest to rule out any other problem.

I am a 19 year oldboy. I play football so I get ankle injury so much. Sprained ankle. So how I can cure it at home? Any exercise for it?

It looks like you are anaemic. And also you have to check with your vitamin and calcium, if the bones are weak then automatically the pain gets triggered more as there is less energy during any metabolic activity. that could be the main reason for your ankle injury when you play sports as calcium and vitamin deficiency will definitely affect the firm joints as Ankle is one of the firm joint in the lower limbs

I am 49 years old I fell down from scooter 5 days back & knee is very paining. After keeps ice for 3-4 days it has come down. But still I cannot walk easily and bend leg please suggest me.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. If you have localized knee pain and swelling after a scooter injury, then the first step in management is to get a x ray done and rule out a bony injury. Once it is certain that there is no bony injury, then initial management of a soft tissue injury can be done by intensive ice packs, knee brace, gentle anti inflammatory medications, medications to reduce swelling, activity modification etc. Once your knee pain and swelling subsides, then a re examination of knee will be done and if there is any associated instability then probably a mri scan will be required for visualization and further management. But initially a bony injury has to be ruled out because the management is totally different in case there is a fracture. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Can a patient having degeneration of l3, l4 and l5 can be treated through acupressure. What are the chances of recovery.

Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

allopathic treatment can be very good and effective. ayurvedic treatment for arthritis contains bhasm and gold which can be very toxic, so the claims that it is side effect free is totally wrong...also many a times unchecked and unregulated ayurvedic powders (patients never ask about source of ayurvedic drugs unlike allopathic which is always printed) contain steroids which gives good relief but can be harmful

I sometimes have pain in joints (knee) .I am just 20 .help me with this. Also sometimes that tactac sound also comes. What to do.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

My illness started last 6 month, 1st I have numbness (ghanghanahat) in my left hand and after sometime in right hand and my head spin in evening after text doctor said to me this is carpal tunnel problem in left hand. And after MRI doctor said you have cervical problem also mild disc bulge c4 c5 after talking allopathic medicine no relief found than I started ayurveda and thoda relief mila. One day I stated pain in my right lower abdomen after ultrasound pata chala I have stone in kidney 5mm and gallbladder 14mm no pain in gallbladder stone till now, but pain in kidney stone. After talking bebbris vulgaris mother tincher homoeopathic medicine. Now I have no pain in kidney after ultrasound on 7th May 2016 Doctor said No stone in kidney now. Only have stone in gallbladder 14mm. I have also numbness in both hands. Left me jyada hai. Now I stooped all medicine last 1 month Allopathic and ayurveda both. Then I have discuss with one doctor & she suggested me continue berberis vulgaris Q. Take Hypericum 1x, 2 tabs twice daily with warm water. Gelsemium 30 Ch, 3 drops twice daily. But no relief found I have pain and numbness in my left thumb and palm please suggested me some medicine because left hand numbness and pain is very bad. Thanks Doctor.

It might be because of bad posture while standing walking and sitting try to correct your posture, and you can use hot fermentation that will reduce your pain. For that dip a towel in to hot water squeez it and wrap around your lower back.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. If there is only pain with no associated s/s of ant inflammation or infection like swelling, skin redness, local warmth etc and there is no h/o any injury to your knee, I will advise initially for conservative management for 2-3 weeks - start with intensive knee physical therapy with a physiotherapist - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Can one play football again after the replacement of ACL. I had ACL surgery in January 2016. If yes, then what are the various exercises done for proper movement of knee.

You can return to sport after acl reconstruction. You need to do undergo vigorous physiotherapy rehabilitation program if you are a professional sportsmen. Its better to avoid contact sports for 1years.

Madam/Sir I got terminated with 5 month baby Due to some abnormality with no bone in right leg The reason was unknown because all report like HP report torch panel report were normal March 7 I got terminated 2 weeks I had bleeding Today April 7 till no period And we had unprotected sex So will it be problem When will I have my period please tell.

Hello , now you should wait for your periods to start for 10 more days.This delay is possible because of excess bleeding after the termination of pregnancy.
