CARE YOU FEET
==============
10 tips for finding the right shoes
Take a tracing of your foot with you. If the shoe is narrower or shorter than the tracing, don't even try it on.
Shop for shoes during the afternoon — your foot naturally expands with use during the day.
Wear the same type of socks to the store that you intend to wear with the shoes.
Have a salesperson measure both of your feet — and get measured every time you buy new shoes. Feet change with age, often growing larger and wider. If one foot is larger than the other, buy a size that fits the larger foot.
Stand in the shoes. Press gently on the top of the shoe to make sure you have about a half-inch of space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe. This provides enough room for your foot to press forward as you walk. Wiggle your toes to make sure there's enough room.
Walk around in the shoes to determine how they feel. Is there enough room at the balls of the feet? Do the heels fit snugly, or do they pinch or slip off? Don't rationalize that the shoes just need to be "broken in." Find shoes that fit from the start.
Trust your own comfort level rather than a shoe's size or description. Sizes vary between manufacturers. And no matter how comfortable an advertisement claims those shoes are, you're the real judge.
Pay attention to width as well as length. If the ball of your foot feels compressed in a particular shoe, ask if it comes in a wider size. Buying shoes that are a half-size bigger — but not any wider — won't necessarily solve the problem.
Feel the inside of the shoes to see if they have any tags, seams, or other material that might irritate your foot.
Examine the soles. Are they sturdy enough to provide protection from sharp objects? Do they provide any cushioning? Take note of how they feel as you walk around the shoe store. Try to walk on hard surfaces as well as carpet to see how the shoe feels on both.

How to get chubby cheeks? Is there any yoga to get chubby cheeks. please suggest to get chubby cheeks.

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science

How to get chubby cheeks? Is there any yoga to get chubby cheeks. please suggest to get chubby cheeks.
Trying to get chubby cheeks does not mean piling up fat on your face. You can achieve it by toning your facial skin. Also, a good balanced diet is crucial to healthy looking skin. A few natural techniques, exercises and home remedies can give your cheeks a plumper and chubby look. 1. Facial yoga is the best way to get chubby cheeks and tone sagging skin.  Place both forefingers in line with the flare of your nostrils just under the apex of your cheekbones. Make small, firm outward circles in the cheek depression for 1 to 2 minutes. Next, place both forefingers on either side of your nose on the smile furrows, about ½ inch from the outer corners of your lips. Do small, outward circles with your fingertips for 1 to 2 minutes. Finally, place both forefingers on the hinges of your jaw. Make small, firm upward circles in this depression for 1 to 2 minutes. Repeat this complete facial yoga routine a few times a day. You can also do facial exercises such as cheek presses and cheek lifts to tone your cheek muscles. 2. You can also blow balloons to work out your cheek muscles. You can even perform this exercise by blowing into imaginary balloons. 3. Olive Oil, shea butter and ghee works as the perfect moisturizer for dry skin and ensures soft skin. It also helps prevent wrinkles, tightens skin and makes cheeks look younger. 4. Fenugreek can also help you get chubby yet firm cheeks. Apply methi powder paste as a mask for 10 minutes a day. 5. Rose water should be applied on cheeks before going to bed, and leave it on overnight. The next morning, rinse it off with warm water. Repeat this remedy once daily. 6. Honey helps the skin retain moisture so it looks healthier and plumper. Adding honey to your diet or applying as a pack on cheeks, both are beneficial.  7. Massage your face with cold milk to make skin appear fuller. Avoid smoking and drinking as these habits can cause skin to lose elasticity and make you look older than your age. Drink an ample amount of water throughout the day to keep your body well hydrated. Put sunscreen on your face to protect the skin from harmful ultraviolet rays. Eat foods like nuts and seeds with healthy fats to get smooth and healthy skin.

Hi, Going by your description it seems you mean that entire teeth are not seen in mouth and only half of the teeth are seen. It may be a condition where your teeth hv fully erupted but are partly covered by excessive gums giving the impression that your teeth are not completely erupted. You may require crown lengthening procedure. It is a cosmetic procedure with excellent result potential. Pardon me if I hv misunderstood your question. If any other doubts feel free to consult using your free consultation. Send pics of your teeth if possible.

Diet Tips For Stomach Ulcer Patients

M.Sc. in Dietetics and Food Service Management , Post Graduate Diploma In Computer Application, P.G.Diploma in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics , B.Sc.Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
  • Eat a fiber-rich diet. High-fiber foods include fresh fruits and vegetables. These foods may prevent new ulcers from forming and decrease recovery time from current ulcers. Fruits and vegetables are rich in antioxidants, which also reduce symptoms.
  • Consume foods containing high amounts of flavonoids, which stop the growth of h. Pylori bacteria. Add apples, celery, cranberries, cranberry juice, onions and garlic to your meals.
  • Stop drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes if you have an ulcer. Talk with your medical professional about smoking cessation programs to quit your nicotine habit successfully.
  • Avoid caffeinated products such as colas and coffee if possible. You can consume small amounts of the beverages if you have just eaten. Caffeine is still present in decaffeinated tea and coffee. Chocolate contains small amounts of caffeine and should not be eaten to avoid a flare-up of symptoms. Milk chocolate has about 9 mg of caffeine and dark chocolate about 30 mg.
  • Do not eat spicy foods. Avoid foods flavored with meat extracts, black pepper, chili pepper, mustard seed and nutmeg. Other spicy foods may also cause discomfort.
  • Eat meals within 30 to 60 minutes of taking proton pump inhibitors, a type of medication commonly prescribed to treat gastric ulcers. Waiting longer than the recommended time may decrease the effectiveness of the medication.

Fresh fruit and vegetables

  • Apples
  • Cranberries
  • Cranberry juice
  • Onions
  • Garlic

Tips

Maintain a well-balanced diet when you are suffering from a stomach ulcer. Eat small, frequent meals when suffering from related stomach pain.

Iron plays a key role in manufacturing hemoglobin, the part of the blood that carries oxygen to your body’s organs and tissues. When your hemoglobin is at a healthy level, oxygen is properly dispersed. This means your scalp is getting a good flow of blood, which will stimulate and promote hair growth. Adding more iron to your diet doesn’t mean you have to feast on liver day in, day out, but when you’re craving something sweet, remember that dried fruits (like raisins) and cherry juice are packed with iron. Eggs; dates; raisins; dark green, leafy vegetables such as kale; and whole-grain cereals are all high in iron. Vitamin C improves the absorption of iron, so fruits such as oranges, strawberries and lemons should be on your grocery list of foods that prevent hair loss.

Hi, the idea is to eat high energy rich foods. You can incorporate nuts and oilseeds in your diet like almonds, walnuts, groundnuts, flaxseeds. Include intake of milkshakes, cheese, raisins and dates. You can incorporate ladoos, panjiri in your diet n daily basis. Also, decrease your physical activity.

I am not sleeping from 7-8 days, my eyes are becoming red and also there are dark circles below the eyes. What can I do?

I am not sleeping from 7-8 days, my eyes are becoming red and also there are dark circles below the eyes. What can I do?
Hello lybrate-user. Sorry about your problem. Redness of the eyes has multiple causes associated with it. To enumerate a few common causes: (1) allergy of the eye. It is usually caused by improper eye hygiene. There is a tendency to rub the eyes with fingers, handkerchief, cloth, etc. This is not a good habit because it tends to transmit lots of virus, bacteria and dust into the eye. Allergy usually presents with symptoms of watering (clear water), redness and itching of the eye. (2) infectious conjunctivitis: this is usually associated with white-yellowish discharge. If so, it would be a good idea to go and show to an eye specialist in person. (3) foreign body lodged in the eye. This is more commonly associated with people who drive 2 wheeler vehicles without protection. It occurs more commonly in one eye. Foreign bodies that commonly get lodged are eyelashes, insect wings, small insects, dust particles, iron particles (more common with people working in the iron industry) the solution for a foreign body lodged in the eye would be better provided by an eye specialist at the clinic. (4) raised intraocular pressure: this is a condition known as glaucoma. It is not so common as the previous mentioned conditions. There is usually associated pain in the eyes. It is commonly bilateral (occurs in both eyes). There is usually a positive family history of glaucoma associated in a majority of the cases. (5) inflammation of the coats of the eyeball. This is known as" uveitis" it is also a relatively less common condition. There is associated pain. It would require a thorough eye checkup including the retina-thus a good idea would be to visit the eye specialist in person. (6) increased blood pressure. This has known to cause redness which is also known as sub-conjunctival hemorrhage. In this regard, a complete ophthalmic evaluation and a systemic evaluation is warranted. From the symptoms described by you, it seems more likely to be a case of allergy. Maintaining the precautions and hygiene that I mentioned should probably work well for you. You could also use a lubricant eye drop along with an anti-histamine eye drop. (3-4 times daily) hope my suggestions helped you. Take care.

Lybrate-user pleural effussion with ascites in itself suggest the seriousness of condition beyound scan you will have ti get your father admitted to rule out the reason of effusion as it could be owing to tuberculosis, hepatic / liver abnormalities/ kidney functions or even linked to some cardiac ailments as we donot know the history of his suffering like was he a chronic alcholic/ smoker/status of liver and other things which can only be diagnosed through proper investigations and esp in such type of patients through hospitalisations.

Dear Lybrate user, Welcome to Lybrate. I think you are stressed out. Stress is simply a reaction to a stimulus that disturbs our physical or mental equilibrium. In other words, it's an omnipresent part of life. A stressful event can trigger the “fight-or-flight” response, causing hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol to surge through the body. A little bit of stress, known as “acute stress,” can be exciting—it keeps us active and alert. But long-term, or “chronic stress,” can have detrimental effects on health. You may not be able to control the stressors in your world, but you can alter your reaction to them. Physical exercise, creative activities, deep breathing, being away from the situation for sometime etc can help you tackle the stress. I need to know, what are the causes with which you are stressed? Once you know the reason, you will be able to adjust with it with some psycho therapy methods. Please let me know the details. Take care.
