Hello from what you have mentioned in your question, it is obvious that your tooth has suffered some form of trauma. The fact that you have suffered episodes of severe pain suggests that the root and adjacent tissue may have got infected. Normally a problem of such nature can be overcome by undergoing root canal treatment (rct). Please visit a dentist who after doing a thorough clinical and radiographic (x ray) examination will inform you about the various options available. If the tooth can be saved I am sure your dentist will do everything possible to salvage it. All the best.

Dear from the sounds of it it appears that you have a deep cavity in your tooth due to long standing decay. You would probably require extensive restorative treatment.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations (full mouth x-ray) & clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

If taken care at the right time, gum diseases can be reversed easily. By getting the accumulated tartar and plaque removed from the teeth, you can get rid of the gum diseases, reversing it in its initial stage itself.

99% of the plaque can be removed by the use of waterjets along with daily brushing

A Stitch In Time Saves Nine!

A Stitch In Time Saves Nine!

A proverb which tells the importance of anything done on time is better rather than delaying it. This is applicable for all the activities of daily life. A step taken now for the maintainance of oral hygiene will prevent further future compications. The two main problems of mouth with which maximum number of people suffering today is cavities and gum problems. Both cavities and gum problems will eventually lead to tooth loss, if not noticed and treated at right time.

Cavities (dental caries) are permanently damaged areas in the hard surface of teeth that develop into tiny openings or holes. Cavities once initiated can not be reverted back. Formation of cavities is an irreversible process. If not filled or restored on time, will eventually lead to tooth loss.

Gingivitis is inflammation of gums. Gingivitis if not treated on time can lead to periodontitis, which is a condition in which a tooth becomes loose and finally fall off on their own from the tooth socket. So its better to maintain oral hygiene so well so that even this condition of gingivitis will not be there.

Cavities and gingivits if treated on time will prevent tooth loss, thus a stich in time saves nine.

Braces are the most close to natural way to correct crooked teeth. You have to wear retainers for a minimum of 1 year after braces to retain the treatment effects. See your dentist regarding your retainers. Your options depend on your clinical condition and needs a clinical assessment 1. Wearing your retainers may correct the problem 2.if it's bad, you have clear aligners that are an alternate to braces or 3.You can get crowns or veneers but that's permanently going to alter your teeth.
