Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

I have neck and back pain from last 5 to 6 years specially in the left portions of those parts of the body. I have pain in legs also. Even in morning after sleep, it pains. Neck Pain This is cervical pain (neck pain) and that's the reason the pain radiates until the shoulder blades. If you keep ice that would help and along side you can do hot water fermentation. You shall use cervical collar which would help you to reduce the radiating pain ie. Due to the nerve compression and we suggest neck mobilization exercises that would reduce the stress falling on the shoulder. We also suggest patients to do shoulder mobilization exercises ie. General shoulder movements/neck movements which will help you to improve the blood circulation Back Pain This is a general back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. It looks like you are anaemic. If you have back pain after you sit for long hours then it is due to your haemoglobin levels as it is important to check that. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain.

dear sir it is edema of foot. it may due to any injury in foot below ankle or pain due to high uric acid i.e. gout . pl. checkup him for uric acid. s.calcium. till then give him tab. dolo 500 mg sos for pain.

How to take care of knee?
1.. Go for fasting once a week. You can go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid diet to digest ama (toxin). Fasting should be followed by hot fomentation or by taking a bath with lukewarm water or steam bath. 2.. After fasting and fomentation, mix powdered long pepper, black pepper and dried ginger in equal quantities and take 1 teaspoon of this powdered mix with lukewarm water twice a day. This will help you restore your digestive fire. 3.. Take one tablespoon of castor oil before going to bed, once or twice a week. It helps in cleansing ama (toxin) build up and balancing vata. 4.. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. 5.. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling.

Back pain - tk rest heat fermentation twice a day and avoid long standing, sitting, toward bending, ankle pain - avoid long standing tk heat fermentation with warm water for 20 minutes and do calf stretching ig it work then ok otherwise tk physiotherapy treatment.

Dear lybrate-user, commonest cause of foot pain is faulty foot wear. So if you have foot pain may be we need to find out what is wrong with your foot wear. You also need a diagnosis so that needs detailed evaluation and imaging to come to a diagnosis. Meanwhile you can wriggle your toes and move them often in office when you are just sitting after removing your shoes.

Tie a cup of uncooked rice inside a cloth and heat it for 30 to 60 seconds on the microwave in low setting. Then keep this on the back for relief. Take fresh ginger into pieces, place in the cup of water and boil it for 30 minutes in low flame. Cool for 30 minutes after boiling. Consume this solution with honey. Take a plastic bag with few crushed ice cubes and place it on the painful area.

Try sleeping in the flat floor instead of bed and change your bike seat very soft and spongy if constipation is available have lot of water and make your bowels habits good. Don't do any exercise unless you do not have any pain, if it aggravate by doing exercise then consult a near by ortho specialist.

Hi this is Dr.Vyas, dear after pregnancy back pain is a common problem because of muscle weakness , some deficiency occurs and some bad postures. U have to do low intensive exercises, regular walk, and calcium product like --milk, cured, butter milk, paneer , egg if non-vegetarian etc. U may get relief in few days.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. \navoid bending in front. \npostural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana? lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a da.

Hello lybrate-user, I suggest that you get your vitamin d and sodium test done. Vitamin d deficiency can cause leg pain and sodium water imbalance can cause dehydration.
