I wanted to know, how I can protect my teeth. Please suggest some household remedy for me. Also I have cavity and tooth decaying problem. So please help me.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning and artificial enamel filling or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

My teeth are bleeding whenever I brush, sometimes it is coming occasionally also, problem is from past 4/5 year, I have checked all toothpaste available in market (colgate, pepsodent, close up.) but no result. I can see blood when ever I eat fruits like apple, guava etc on it, or whenever I wash my teeth. Please guide me what to do, if possible please suggest some expert doctors in delhi.

Dentist, Jamshedpur
Dear bleeding from gums can have numerous causes but the most common cause of the problem is poor/inadequate oral hygiene maintenance. Over a period of time the gum tissues surrounding the tooth get infected and swollen and start bleeding even by the slightest provocation. As is evident from your question you have been concerned about your problem for quite some time now and have on your part tried to cure it by changing tooth pastes. Actually the problem is more related to our faulty and inadequate brushing technique. What you need to do now is to visit a dentist & get a professional dental cleaning done. Once that is done get into the habit of brushing at least twice daily, regular rinsing of mouth and flossing. Pleas take instructions from your dentist for the proper technique to brush and floss. That should keep your gum healthy and you happy. Regards.

Sir, mai 33 years ka hun, mere right side ka last teeth 50% lost ho chuka hai or us k saath chik mai ek Ulcer (Ghat) ban gai hai, or mai us teeth ko nikalva liya hai koi dar ki baat nahi hai na, ya kuch test kervav, Teeth ek dental sergon se nikalvaya hai 28/04/2016 ko, sir koi dar ki baat to nahi hai na.

Dentist, Kolar
Ulceration in your case could b due to sharp edges of your broken teeth rubbing against your cheeks. Ulcers generally take upto 2 wks to heal. Since you hv got your broken tooth removed, wait till 2 wks to see if your ulcers heal. If it doesn't you need to visit dentist for its elvaluation who'll recommend further tests. Untill then use dentogel oral ointment on the ulcer thrice daily n use bethadine mouthwash, start on multivitamin tabs too. Take care.

My salivary gland secretion is very much high ever moment I have to split what can I do to over secretion of saliva.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Although excessive saliva is not too common, there are a number of conditions that can cause it - some harmless, others more serious. It is possible that your saliva problems are just a result of the way you speak. Some people speak faster or slower than others, just as some people blink more often, breathe faster, or have a more rapid heartbeat. This may just be what's normal for you. Since it is negatively affecting your life, I suggest your problem can be ignored. However there are medical conditions that causes excessive salivation injection glycopyrrolate reduces secretions in the mouth, throat, airway, and stomach.

To remove those irky coffee and wine stains from your teeth, brush baking soda on your teeth twice a month and get that shine back.

How often should I go to the dentist? How can I look after my child's teeth? Why should I use dental floss? Which foods and drinks containing sugar cause tooth decay? Are pregnant women entitled to free NHS dental treatment? Why should I use interdental brushes? How many soft or fizzy drinks can children have a day?

Dentist, Vadodara
You can visit dentist every six months. Flossing helps clean interdental tooth region. All food drinks with sugar causes decay. How old is your child? its best not to give them fizzy drinks.
