Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

Hello, Take Schwabe’s Alpha-CF and Biocombination-11, both after every 2 hourly for 4 days. Management: -Sponging or bathing with tepid water. The use of a fan or air conditioning may somewhat reduce the temperature and increase comfort. If the temperature reaches the extremely high level of hyperpyrexia, aggressive cooling is required. -Take rest and drink plenty of fluids. -Take light, bland, properly cooked home-made healthy food only. ******Do get your check up done for finding out the reason of all this******

Can you tell me in detail whether by frozen, you mean that the thumb gets stuck in a particular position like in trying to straighten the bent thumb. Also can you send me latest x rays of the involved hand so that I can see whether there is an associated arthrosis of the 1st cmc joint which is also very common. I have pain in my left heel when I start walking. I did not get any hurt. Pain started spontaneously 20 days ago. When I start walking then more pain feel. After 15 minute walking pain become slower and I can walk normal. Tell me medicine.

There could be tightness of the calf muscles and ankle also...so exercise regularly..do .ankle toe movement up and down,sideways,circling clockwise and anti clockwise 20 times each,and also do stretching of the calf muscles.Aslo remember not to weat shoes that is too tight and flat.If it doesn't help then consult a doctor.

Just started having pain in my entire leg starting from the lower back towards thecentre traveling down to the back of my leg down to my ankle. Which I presume and am sure is sciatica pain .would like to be suggested a homeopathic cure or precaution to prevent it from growing worse and relief pls.

I suggest you follow the below for your condition: Take Mag Phos 6x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and Ice Packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately.

, yogasans are always helpful. Even pranayam and asana together will be more beneficial. Surgery done long back need not have residual effect, it is usually in the patients mind that there is a problem. The body recovers very well. So she can definitely try both the asanas and pranayam. But it is equally important to have hypothyroidism in good control with tsh levels around 3 to 4 milli units/l. Thanks.

In night when I go to bed my triceps mascules pain is started. How I relief this situation?

Kindly show me digital x rays of affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Dear lybrate-user if you are overweight you should avoid jogging as you body weight impact the ground and you can get serious injuries in your knees and legs so stop jogging instead of that do cycling or swimming which is non impactive and also you can do brisk walking but avoid jogging.

There's a pain in the joint of my toe. I have done an Xray and there's no bone issues. Could it be related to gout?

Hi thanks for the query. From the complaints you had described the reason for the pain in the toe could be due to injury or some times due to gout. If there is no history of injury, it is better to get uric acid test and consult your local orthopedician.

Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and manual therapy will help in pain free movement. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Consult after 5 days.

Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.
