Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. It's not possible to tell medicines for anyone without knowing proper history, your investigations and treatment thus far. Obviously your knee and back has degenerative changes, you need to do - intensive physiotherapy under supervision of a physiotherapist - daily walks of 2-3 km per day - take adequate calcium and vitamin d intake as per requirement. Please send me you x rays of lower back and knees so that I can see and advise accordingly do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

1. Increase intake of barley flour, horse gram (a type of bean), split green gram, honey, celery seeds, cumin seeds, dried ginger root powder, garlic, bitter gourd and castor oil. 2. Avoid eating fish and milk together or milk and jaggery together. 3. Avoid incompatible, heavy, and oily foods. 4. Avoid an improper diet and lifestyle, such as waking up late in the night, suppressing natural urges of the body, and getting direct exposure to cold winds. 5. Go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid or semi-solid diet for an entire day, depending on your strength. You can follow this with hot fomentation (application of moist heat). This can be done by soaking cloth in warm water and giving a compress over the affected parts or steam bath or taking a bath with lukewarm water. These are the best methods of digesting ama. 6. Go for panchkaarma therapy for 10 days in some panchkarma center.

I have a pain in my back and waist leg joint. Sometime it lock my movement. What l should and shouldn't?

BPT, MPT - Orthopedic Physiotherapy

I have a pain in my back and waist leg joint. Sometime it lock my movement. What l should and shouldn't?
Hello lybrate user back pain have several causes can be due to back, hip joint muscle weakness, improper posture while working, standing, sitting, walking, etc. A major factor affecting the generation is the sedentary life style or less physical workout like regular walking, cycling, running etc. Activities are not a part of routine. Diet consists of more &more junk food, less fruits or fresh juice leads to weight gain. Increased body weight puts pressure on spine, extra pressure and improper posture unable to cope with this increased load results back pain. Smooth back exercises can recover your muscle weakness and regular ten days physiotherapy treatment will be more helpful to reduce pain and stiffness.

If you have low back pain and sciatica you can undergo intermittent pelvic traction where in your half of your body weight will be added in the electronic traction so that that would help you to reduce the pain, along with Interferential therapy stimulations which would help you to get relieved from the radiating pain. Apply ice for the pain to get subsided immediately. If you cannot go immediately for the physiotherapy treatment. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear Lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear MCR chappals which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back. L have a problem of back pain when I am sitting for more than 1 hour at 1 place. Tell me what to do? It looks like you are anaemic. If you have back pain after you sit for long hours then it is due to your haemoglobin levels as it is important to check that. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. The lower end of the vertebral column is inflamed and that bone is called coccyx bone and the condition is called Coccydynia. The conservative management would be to keep ice in that inflamed area during one time in a day and also to sit in a hot water bowl where the penetration of the heat would help to reduce the inflammation. And to reduce the weight falling on the inflammed surface we suggest patients to use air cushion pillow (also called as doughnut pillow) where in the buttock's weight will not fall exactly on the painful tail bone and that would automatically reduce the pain. Back pain / Sciatica: If you have low back pain and sciatica you can undergo intermittent pelvic traction where in your half of your body weight will be added in the electronic traction so that that would help you to reduce the pain, along with Interferential therapy stimulations which would help you to get relieved from the radiating pain. U have to take vitamin D RICH FOODS. Like milk, cheese, yogurt, brocoli, spinach. U need calcium consumption for increase the bone density.
