Respected doctor, I want to ask that does pcnl therapy use for only kidney stone removal operation and ureter stone removal also and urs therapy is also used for only kidney stone removal operation and ureter stone removal also. That bleeding is a known application in pcnl therapy used for kidney stone removal operation or not. Regardsmahesh sharma9871298944.

MD(MEDICINE), MBBS
Nephrologist, Chandigarh
Pcnl means percutaneous nephro- lithotomy in which a tube is inserted in to kidney under radiological guidance and the stone is broken up in to pieces by a lithotripter in to small pieces or else it can also be used to relieve pressure in the hydronephrotic kidneys due to obstruction down below in the urinary tract. Urs is ureteroscopy where the tube is inserted through the urethera in the penis and pushed up in to ureter and kidney to break up the stone by laser.

There is no way one can control the level of creatinine. It depends upon kidney function, its better to consult a nephrologist.

My Bro had Kidney stone problem, he is suffering from pain for 2 days and till now. please suggest any medicine. Tell which foods he should eat?

BAMS
Ayurveda, Ambala
You should follow these very important and simple things to prevent stone formation & to get sure treatment of kidney stones: 1. First take a lot of fluid daily. The more you drink water and fluid, the less amount of deposit accumulate in kidney. So you have to make your kidneys healthy just only by drinking 2-3 liters (10-12 glasses) of water. 2. Stones are mainly formed of calcium and oxalate. So take very low quantity of milk, cheese, cream and dairy products. 3. Do not take strawberry, plum, spinach and tomatoes. These fruits and vegetables are rich in oxalate. So avoid them to prevent from kidney stones. 3. Stop taking supplementary vitamin d and calcium medication. 4. Avoid animal protein diet- eggs, red meat, fish in diet. 5. Take less amount of salt, pickle and western foods. They have high amount of sodium. So avoid it. 6. Urinary infection are also one of the cause of stone. So take proper antibiotic treatment of urinary infection on time. Even when you feelburning sensation or pain during urination, don't avoid it. Take medication as soon as possible. I hope you follow them in your life andstay healthy. 7. You can take gokshur tablets of himalaya for 3 months. It definitely get relief from kidney stones. 8. You can also take neeri syrup 1-2 table spoon with a glass of water at least for 1 month.

Gd mrng sir. I am 50 male. I am having a problem with passage of urine I don't have burning or pain while passing my urine but my stream & flow of urine is slow since last 4 years. I have bloodpressue & for that I am taking telma 40 & I have not started medicine for my blood sugar yesterday my fasting was 109. Sir I had a, renal calculi way back in june 2001 is it having any correlation with weak urine flow becoz that time I took homeopathy medicine & got respite from it. After thatvI have gone through ultrasound twice but things were normal. Sir please advice me some medicine for this problem of weak urine flow. I don't have any sexual contacts since last seven years. Expecting your kind suggestion in this regard.

PGD Maternal Child Health, MBBS
General Physician, Akola
Before labelling it slow, I would like to know the flow velocity of urine. You should take a graduated saline bottle and use it for passing urine and noting the time difference from starting to finishing till bladder gets empty. Measure the volume and divide it by the number of seconds taken for total emptying. If this value is more than 7 to 8 ml per second you should not label it slow. If it is really slow then urethroscopy should be done to rule out a possibility of stricture in urethra.

I have a problem in my kidneys before 4 year ago I do a one operation of my kidneys bt ow days my kidneys is max 22 cm so wt to do now n m age is 54 yea old.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Median renal lengths were 11.2 cm on the left side and 10.9 cm on the right side. Median renal volumes were 146 cm3 in the left kidney and 134 cm3 in the right kidney. Renal size decreased with age, almost entirely because of parenchymal reduction. If you have no problems you need not worry or do a check up with the doctor who removed the other kidney.

My sister gets red cell in her urine. She is 61 years. Consulted urologist and gynec but no effective treatment. Red cell 10-12 cell.

Certificate in Basic Course on Diabetes Management, CCEBDM Certificate in Diabetes, MBBS
General Physician, Pune
Very surprising that proper medical consultation has not helped her. She requires detail examination by Consultant Physician and a Gynecologist and thoroughly investigated by Physical Examination, Urine examination, Urine culture, Haemogram, Renal Profile Tests and Ultrasound etc. Try again to consult both Physician and a Gynecologist. Followup with them till cured

I am 28 having bilateral polycystic ovaries trying for baby since 3 years please help me how to conceive.

MBBS, DGO, MD, Fellowship in Gynae Oncology
Gynaecologist, Delhi
The majority of cases of infertility due to ovulatory disorders may be prevented with dietary and lifestyle modifications. Although PCOS has no cure, it can be successfully managed to the point where you can conceive naturally and have a healthy baby. Regular exercise is also very beneficial for controlling PCOS and insulin resistance It’s also important to chart your cycles to see when you are ovulating. You may be ovulating later than the usual 14-16 day of the cycle. You need to take care of all these things for conceiving.
