Hi I am suffering from vaginal discharge. I face this problem when I have sex, A few days before menstrual cycle, I exercise, This does not happen always when I do the above things but occasionally and sometimes when I don't do these things. Sometimes it is odour less and sometimes with smell.

MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Colorless or slight white odouless vaginal discharge is normal ,it occurs to lubricate the vagina ,this discharge increases during sexual activity and just before periods. If you're having foul smelling discharge then consult a doctor in person, after examining the discharge she can prescribe you medicines.

Market me hormones ki bahot davayian hoti hai jo emergency me istamal ho sakti hai, magar ek dafe doctor ko dikhake aap ke tabiyat ke liye anukool hai ki nahi check karvana achha. Doosara dhayn rakhe ki agar sex jyada dafe hone wala hai to ye emergency pill nahi, dusari bahot family planning ki methods hai usme se kuch nakki karo.

My friend and his girlfriend indulges in unprotected sex once in a month and soon after intercourse she takes I-pill. This is happening from past 6 months. Is there any chance of getting pregnant for my friend's girlfriend.

No she will not get pregnant but regular taking of pills which are synthetic estrogen may spoil her body and emotional balance some physical and emotional changes take place that are permanent while you stay on the pill. Some of them are larger breasts weight gain or loss increased acne emotional sensitivity right before your period mood swings throughout your cycle irregular bleeding or spotting & decreased libido! let her know these effects if your friend is her well wisher!

I had unprotected sex on 24th November that is exactly 12 days after my last period. After that I took ipill within 7 hours. I had black spotting after a week for 2 days. And then it stopped. Now today after 20 days post our intercourse I'm bleeding black. I did home pregnancy test and the result says it's negative but still I'm stressed out. Is there any chance of pregnancy?

Ipill is emergency medicine and should be treated as emergency only. Can't be taken routinely it has made cycle erratic due to hormonal imbalances and irregular periods, side effects of medicines. Negative test should not worry you don't take hormones to regularize cycle wait for few months read more about reproductive health through good books or counselor.

Hello, Metsmall and finasteride tablets is fine and will not affect your fertility in any way. Also, take a healthy diet full of green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and vegetables and low glycemic index foods, avoid eating foods with high glycemic index, bad fats and soy products. You should also follow a routine exercise regime

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. It is necessary for you to get it examined by a competent surgeon. Plus there may be a need for getting certain investigations like mammogram and USG of the breast. That will help to identify if there is anything serious. Thanks.

Colostomy v/s Ileostomy - Get The Facts Right

MBBS, MS - General Surgery

Colostomy v/s Ileostomy - Get The Facts Right

Terms like ileostomy and colostomy really sound a bit too scientific, don’t they? Well, it is true that may seem to be pretty scary to almost anybody who is not professionally familiar with them! That being said, it is quite important to know what these things are, as it is always good to be informed of things like these. After all, one never knows when he or she may need to consider the possibility of having one.

The similarity which exists between these two procedures is due to the fact that both of them require the surgeon to cut an opening into the intestine from the skin of the abdominal wall. To be more specific about each of the procedures, the ileostomy involves the removal of the entire colon as well as the rectum of the person who is undergoing it. When this operation is performed, the small intestine’s end is adapted so as to expel the faeces which are produced as a result of the digestive process.

Now, this does seem like quite a daunting prospect, does it not? Well, it does and with good reason as it is really not a small matter, at all. That is why the surgery is performed on people who suffer from diseases such as Crohn's disease, who have a condition in which entire sections of their gut cannot be linked in a proper manner!

On the other hand, a colostomy refers to a follow-up surgery to a colectomy, in which the surgeon creates an opening which is known as a stoma. A colectomy is when there is a removal of a part of the large intestine. In many cases of colostomies being performed, they are intended to be temporary in nature.

Now, taking into account just how serious these operations are, a person may wonder just what unfortunate thing needs to happen to warrant a surgery of this sort to be performed! Well, essentially, if there is an occurrence of bowel cancer which is significantly bad, then there may be a need which arises as a result of the same.

Advanced medicines do have some interesting facts; contrary to what most people think, a stoma does not hurt. This is because there are no nerves in the area! While a person may hopefully never need either surgery performed on oneself, that surely does not mean that awareness about them should not be widespread.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!
