4 Easy Exercises for Aches And Pains

Taking into account the hectic lifestyle we lead, most of us end up suffering from aches and pains. But that does not mean we have to continue to suffer from them. There are plenty of easy exercises that one can follow in order to keep themselves healthy and problem free!

In order to avoid aches and pains, the first thing that a person needs to do is

  1. Practise hamstring stretches regularly: What this entails is that he or she needs to lie on the back, raise a leg and hold the back of it with both hands. While it may be called the hamstring stretch and one would probably normally think that the beneficial impact of doing it would be limited to the hamstring, it works quite a bit of special magic which has an ability to ease the pain in the lower back. Now, for an exercise which is so simple, is it not worth it?
  2. Side Stretch: Talking about stretches, another form of a stretch happens to be the side stretch. Even this is rather simple and all that needs to be done is to lie on one’s side and pull the ankle of the leg which is not in contact with the ground towards the back. While this is being done, the ankle of the lower leg should apply pressure on the thigh.
  3. Straight leg raise: It may seem that most of the exercises which reduce pain are stretches! However, this is not really the case as there is a place for exercises such as the straight leg raise and the like. What exactly is the straight leg raise? Well, it can be done when a person is either in a sitting position or is lying on his or her back. The toes are to be kept pointed upwards and the leg is to be raised. It is to be kept in mind that the challenge of the straight leg raise is that the knee should not be bent, at all.
  4. The cat and camel exercise: The terms cat and camel generally refer to members of the animal kingdom. However, jointly, in terms of exercises, the cat and camel is an exercise well worth remembering as it can save the individual quite a lot of pain. All that needs to be done is to alternatively arch one’s back towards the floor and the ceiling while resting on one’s hands and knees.

While our way of living may come with certain side-effects, but it would not be right to say that we are helpless. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take BioD3 Max 1 tab dailyx10 Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x5days Do back(spine)/shoulder/knee exercises Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take Do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days,then contact me again.

Some crunching sounds comes from my both knees of legs whenever I stand up. But I don't have any serious problem with this as this exist from 7-8 yrs. I don't have any pain or any discomfort but still the sound is loud.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do knee & general exercises. Cycling will be good for you. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

There must be median nerve entrapment. Do contrast bath therapy twice daily, take hot water in one bowl & cold in another. First immerse your hand in hot water for 3min & then immediately move to cold water for 1min, keep repeating for 20min. You should end on cold water. Keep moving your hand avtively while it is dipped in water. Do hand stretches. Sit on chair & keep your forearm on side of table, hold about 1/2 kg weight in hand & move your wrist up & down × 20 repetitions twice daily Squeeze smiley ball hold till count of 3 then release, 20 repetitions twice daily

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. While playing cricket we throw balls but while throwing I don't feel power in that and after throwing the shoulder pains a lot for e.g. As if my should is cut down. That kind of pain. I thought of resting for a month will take care but still it has not and now it is being more than 2 months. Need help as to how I can get my shoulder working as normal.

Firstly you should start with active exercises for shoulder in slow motion. Do the strengthening exercises for all your muscles of the shoulder. Then you should do stretching and make sure you gradually progress to light weights. These are resisted exercises which will help you to build up strength. Shoulder is a very important joint in the body as it can perform a lot of movements. Do not ignore the exercises make sure you do these exercises everyday at twice a day. Infact a physiotherapist can help you to to train you with the exercises because your a player you do it the right way so that you can get back onto the field soon. Important notice kindly take rest during your sessions of exercises atleast for 10 days because doing the exercises can cause a little pain and then when you go back to the feild and play and exercises the pain will not reduce. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear mcr chappels which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1. Ruta 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week. 2. Rhus tox 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and update. Hi, my husband met an accident last year and he got deep cut in his artery of left hand wrist at the base of thumb. It was operated and there are 7-8 stitches. Hello lybrate user, - try to look at the cause why you are getting that pain - initially you have to change the lifestyle like sitting straight while working travelling, avoiding sudden jerks or humps during two wheeler driving - adopt some exercises which relaxes your back muscles and bones - it's difficult to say whether it's muscles relaxed or bone related just by symptom of pain both of that may go chronic - better to go for application of mahanarayana taila with sahacharadi taila and hot fomentation for 15 min or go for kati basti it's an ayurveda panchakarma treatment, with this you will relieve better thank you.

If uterine os is closed (get sono report or pv exam) and there is not much of pain in uterus every day. You can do walking 1 kms. Breasthing exercise. Relxation exercises.

Hi I am 27 I am suffering from a severe knee pain. I am unable to continue the other sports activities only because of this pain. It doesn't happen in regular basis but yes it is painful. Please suggest a medication.
