What I do for my rest?
Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days,please inform

At your age, its common to have age related bad changes in knee and back called osteoarthritis and lumbar spondylosis respectively, you need to avoid squatting down, using indian toilet and climbing stairs. For back avoid forward bending, and lifting weights.

Severe pain in lower back for 2 days. Can't sit properly. Please suggest what to do.
Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Dear sir I am 29 years guy I have leg pain from last month and it make me really very tired at night and in the morning its effect me very badly at night I have to take two sleeping pills and even after that I cant get proper sleep my vitamin b12 is 194 and vitamin d3 is 14.5 and my rest blood test are normal even my hiv is non reactive.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum potassium levels, esr and crp - also please take adequate calcium and vitamin d intake as per requirement and also supplement adequate amounts of vitamin b 12 as well. Once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket. And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back. You may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * surya namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

Physical activity is essential for people with osteoarthritis Exercise programs should include both aerobic exercise—like walking, swimming, or biking—and strengthening exercises, such as isometric and isotonic exercises. Please see a Physiotherapist who can help you work out a program suitable for you. You could try a warm bath, or place a heat pack or hot water bottle over the painful area for 15 minutes. Cold numbs the painful area and reduces swelling. Applying cold treatments, such as ice packs, to the painful area for 15 minutes may be especially useful for hot, swollen joints, such as during a'flare' You can repeat heat or cold treatments throughout the day. Make sure the temperature of your skin has returned to normal before re-applying, to prevent any tissue damage.

Well I am not sure if I have tennis elbow or triceps tendonitis-i get pain in my triceps and my forearms get swollen but da peak/concentration f pain is in my triceps! Can I do something about it? Should I consult ortho/Ayurveda?

Good evening To check whether you have a tennis elbow, just keep your elbow half bend facing your Palm down. Try to raise your ring finger while giving resistance with another hand to same finger to avoid that movement. If you feel sever pain in lateral side of your elbow, it's positive sign of tennis elbow. Thanks and regards.
