At 39 years, you are in perimenopausal age where menses are bound to be irregular. Iregular periods are not a disease, its natural to have irregular periods, especially in your age group and in teenage girls ultrasound reports nowadays mention pcod in many cases, that doesnot mean you have pcod. If you wish to have pregnancy, you can get treated by gynecologist who will help you with the medicines not only to cure your pcod but also pregnancy. If you have finished having a family and do not want anymore, then the tablets are the best treatment for you, continue them for as long as your menses are there.

Hi I hope she has got her iron studies test done to confirm that she has iron deficiency anaemia. If yes, then she needs to have lots of green leafy vegetables, pulses like rajma, peas, beans, pistachios (in limited quantity). Your mother needs diabetic dose adjustment or change as her blood sugar are uncontrolled. Regular walking for atleast 20 min a day is important.

Medication will not help at this age, you should try Exercise like stretching swimming regularly yoga like Tadasan and Sarvang asana. play Basket ball regularly. Take proper balanced nutritios and protein rich diet. *Mix two tablespoons of ashwagandha powder in a glass of warm cow’s milk. 1. Add sugar or jaggery according to your taste and mix well. 2. Don't worry, this chest pain has got nothing to do with your smoking till last year. It is most likely due to muscular cause. Be firm on your resolve of not to smoke, do regular exercise and eat good nouritious food.

Hi. You have to follow some basic things so that you get better results in a short period of time. 1) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals, 2) don’t drink water before meal for one hour and one hour after meal, 3) avoid oily, spicy, junk, fermented and stale foods, 4) sleep upto 10.30 pm, 5) avoid coffee and tea, A) use evenshade cream of charak pharma, B) take 30 ml of AUDUMBARAVLEHA before meals, C) take ½ tsf of nimbadi churna after meals, Do all things for 30 days. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Hi I suggest you to have a de-stressing life with early morning awakening, doing yoga/meditation, daily jog/exercise, listen soothing music at evening, some time for rest, recreation and socialization and adequate sleep. You may join a gym for building muscles and gaining confidence. Take plenty of salads, fruits and sprouts. Avoid fatty and spicy foods. To avoid acidity avoid alcohol/nicotine/excess of tea/coffee. For improving brain power solve puzzles and reasoning. Repetition of lesson and recalling in mind and referring immediately to source/book in case of any doubt is a good way to enhance memory.

Ayurveda is an ancient Indian origin science that deals with herbal medicines. This holistic arm of medical science is well known for combining practices like massages and Yoga for better lifestyle management. One’s lifestyle is of vital importance when one turns to Ayurveda for treatment. This is due to the fact that Ayurveda reaches the root of the problem and fixes the same, so that a reoccurrence of the ailment may be avoided. It does so in order to repair the dosha present in one’s body. 

When there is an imbalance in one of the four doshas, it can lead to an ailment that is connected with the relevant dosha. Cuisine is one of the ways in which Ayurveda diagnoses and treats a number of imbalances in the doshas, and the related symptoms or ailments. Let us learn more about the healing powers of Ayurvedic Cuisine.

  1. Ayurvedic Cooking: The rationale behind cooking the Ayurvedic way can be better understood when we realise that the human body and its balance is made up of Vata, Pitta and Kapha, either, fire and water, respectively. In Ayurvedic cooking, some dishes are prepared by steaming and others, by roasting. This is due to the fact that the composition of the food changes once it is processed. The way it changes will have an effect on the human body. For example, tomatoes are cooked so that they lycopene can be extracted and enhanced with such a process. Also, when one blanches carrots, its beta carotene properties are lost. This is why one must eat carrots in their raw form, as per Ayurvedic doctors.
  2. Lactic Fermentation: The use of oil and ghee is prevalent in Ayurveda when it comes to the treatment of various kinds of ailments. Lactic fermentation is a process that produces products like clarified butter or ghee. This was also used as a morning beverage by many royals, as it was believed to keep the various organs clear of toxins.
  3. Salads: Raw food was very popular in ancient times, and Ayurveda still propagates the use of raw food. Salads are usually seasoned with lemon juice and ginger so that minimum processing takes place. This ensures that the food retains its most natural vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. Par boiled or raw food is the norm for most Ayurvedic cuisine, which was adopted by the Chinese as well. This was after visiting Chinese pilgrims observed the benefits of the same.
  4. Herbs and Condiments: Ayurveda makes use of a generous variety of herbs and other condiments when it comes to its cuisine. Turmeric root and Curcuma aromatic or Kasturi, are some of the most important and commonly used condiments in Indian cooking.

Hi to gain weight you need to combine a balanced eating pattern with regular physical activity. You should be eating at least 6 small meals a day, rather than sticking to 3 square meals. You could divide it as 3 main meals and 3 snacks. You need to be eating every 2-3 hours. Space out snacks during the day so you don't spoil your appetite. Bread, cereal, rice, whole wheat, dalia and pasta: biscuits, and corn-bread are good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits: dried fruits, fruit nectars, and large quantities of fresh fruits vegetables: include, potatoes, peas, corn in your diet. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, omelets, nuts, peanut butter, kidney beans, chickpeas will help you gain weight. Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, ice cream, puddings, custards, milkshakes. -nuts and seeds make a healthy option for snacks. -roasted channas and peanuts are good -peanut butter on the sandwiches are a great mid-meal choice. -you must know that cereals actually contain some healthy calories. Stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and other fluids like juices, milk, soups etc, will work in your favour. Do not drink water before a meal and in between the meal as it may make you lose your appetite, thus calorie intake suffers. Sleep: at least 8 hours of sound sleep is a must. Since your body is actually building up muscles, while you rest. Weight gainers have long term side effects.
