I Am Vishnu and 32 year old and problem at very serious for pain at teeth for every time.

I Am Vishnu and 32 year old and problem at very serious for pain at teeth for every time.
The type of treatment you have for toothache will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed.

Mr. Lybrate-user, placement of artificial crowns wil result in larger tooth appearance than normal teeth. In due course you wil accustom to it. Since you have removed your teeth. You can go for zirconia crowns which are sleek n adapt accurately.

Any age group people can use snowdent paste for white teeth? and snowdent is harmful to teeth for not?

BDS
Dentist, Pune
Avoid it in the kids less than 10 years. And use as little as required to brush your teeth. Any tooth paste that contains sodium lauryl sulfate is harmful. So use less quantity of the toothpaste always.

Saving a fallen tooth can prove to be useful. Wrapping it up in a piece of plastic or soaking it into milk or trying to keep it in place immediately after it has fallen can prevent any further harm. Consult a dentist immediately after undertaking one of the above measures.

You may opt for bleaching after cleaning. Veneers can be an option for front teeth if the problem is deep staining secondary to a disorder of tooth formation.

Hi, if there is pain in the same tooth in which root canal treatment was got done, then the cause could be secondary infection which causing pain or else the cap (if you have got it fitted) is not of proper size and that is irritating the surrounding area. Visit your dentist again to know the exact cause of pain as well as the condition of your tooth. For the time being to alleviate the pain, apply homoeopathic medicine - plantago q/ few drops on cotton swab, place it on the affected tooth/ teeth and press it tightly, do it thrice a day. Orally, take mag. Phos. 6x/ after every 2 hours. Home-remedies: -rub a few drops of clove oil or can even press 2-3 cloves in between the teeth on the affected tooth several times daily until the ache goes away. -rub a few drops on the affected tooth several times daily until the ache goes away. -apply a cool compress to outside of mouth or cheek. -mix 1 tsp of salt in a glass of warm water. Rinse your mouth with saltwater. Swirl it around in your mouth and spit it out. Make sure that you don't swallow. -soak a cotton ball in a mixture of a few drops of garlic clove oil and a small amount of olive oil, and apply the cotton ball to the area of pain.

Hi mouth ulcers can vary is size, shape and number. Mouth ulcers are self limiting, which means they heal naturally by themselves. The medications are only to ease the pain and burning sensation during the course of the healing. Please do not self prescribe any medications as it might at times delay the healing of the ulcer. Please visit the dentist to know exactly the type of the ulcer and its treatment. To ease the pain you cud by a topical anaesthetic gel and apply it before eating anything spicy. Try to reduce the stress, avoid long exposure to sunlight, avoid carbonated drinks and citrus fruits and juices containing citric acid, avoid lemon with food and keep urself hydrated. Please visit the dentist for exact diagnosis and treatment.

Teeth Whitening - Are You the Right Candidate for it?

Teeth Whitening - Are You the Right Candidate for it?

If we think about what attracts us to a person in general, the first thing that we can think of is a great, warm smile. A good set of well-aligned white teeth is an important aspect of this great smile. However, white teeth remain an elusive thing for most of us. Some of the common reasons for discolored teeth are as below.

  1. Ageing
  2. Hypo mineralized tooth structure
  3. Fluourosis
  4. Food habits
  5. Tobacco smoking/chewing (learn more for Smoking  Effect on Teeth)
  6. Side effects of medication (tetracyclines, for instance)

The degree of discoloration varies widely and also is hereditary. Whatever the reasons, there is the option of tooth whitening, which is effective with optimal oral health and good oral hygiene habits. Tooth whitening is not for everybody though, the following are the definite contraindications.

  1. Teeth with fillings: The bleaching agents work best on natural tooth structure. Whether it is a crown or a veneer or a bridge, the bleaching agent will not work on these tooth-colored fillings and composite resins. On the contrary, using bleaching agent on a tooth filling can produce uneven whitening. The teeth without fillings will appear lighter than those with fillings. If the person has discoloration due to fluorosis or any other reason, then it is ideal to complete any pending restorative work before initiating tooth whitening procedure. This should be allowed to settle in for about 2 weeks. After that, whitening should be undertaken which will ensure the best results and match with the composite filling/veneer/crowns. In people with multiple restorations, whitening can result in uneven coloration of the teeth and so veneers or crowns would be better suited than whitening.
  2. Sensitive teeth: Sensitivity is an indication that the dentin is exposed or is covered by a very thin layer of enamel. Whitening agents will not work very well in these cases.
  3. Poor oral health (gingivitis, worn enamel, cavities, and root decay): The whitening agent can irritate the gums or penetrate the existing decay or worn enamel leading to sensitivity. The tooth whitening agent works on the enamel, and as the tooth surfaces do not have enamel, they do not produce a whitening effect.
  4. Age: Hydrogen peroxide which is the most common bleaching agent is not safe for use in children below 16 years of age. The pulp chambers are quite high and the tooth is still forming, so bleaching agents are not to be used.

While choosing to go for tooth whitening, one thing to bear in mind is that it is not a permanent solution to discolored teeth and might require repetition of the treatment. Having a detailed discussion will help set realistic expectations and achieve optimal results.

How to get a fresh teeth after cleaning them from doctor. Please tell me the best pest and brush and more.

How to get a fresh teeth after cleaning them from doctor. Please tell me the best pest and brush and more.
Thanks for your query. After getting the teeth cleaned, you can maintain the teeth in a good condition by brushing your teeth twice daily and rinse your mouth soon after eating anything. You can use any tooth paste like colgate, pepsodent etc. But technique is important. You can use medium bristle tooth brush. Take care.

At some times in the morning when I use to clean my tongue I am getting blood with split . I am very much worried about that .may I konw the reason and what could I do for that.

Diploma in Anesthesia, MBBS

If the blood is not when you cough or vomit or belch and it is seen only in the morning while cleaning the tongue, it is coming from the tongue, so clean the tongue smoothly and softly, you need not worry about it

You are just 19 years old. I would suggest you to save your teeth and infact get a root canal treatment done for the same. Removal of teeth is not the only option.
