I have back bone problem specially in middle but it is sometime very low and some time very light. Some time look like all is fine little bit in all bone but in middle always stable. You need to get MRI of your lumbar spine done Meanwhile take pain killers, vitamin D supplememt and go to some physio center and do heat therapy and back exercises

that is because of lack or or less intake of water required by the body. so drink lot of water by mouth. have regular morning walk followed by free hand exercises and have balanced diet with lot leafy vegetables, cereals, and lean meat ,fish ,eggs etc it will be alright.

How To Deal With Neck Pain?

The most common cause of neck pain can be cervical disc disease. It is generally caused by the abnormality of the disc that is the cushion present between the vertebrae. The disc can get damaged because of arthritis or any unknown cause. When damaged, it usually leads to inflammation or spasm of the muscles leading to neck pain.

There are a number of pain medications, traction exercises, and physical therapy for minimizing the neck pain. However, these home based remedies help in relieving pain along with a speedy recovery:

  • Take it easy: If you have a busy and hectic life, then take it easy. Living with cervical disc diseases can lead to an increase in the neck pain; thus cutting down on activities helps. A comfortable position should be observed while resting. If need be then a pillow can be placed under the neck.
  • Apply Cold/Heat Pack: There is always a confusion regarding whether a cold or a hot pack is to be used. The recommendation is to use ice or cold pack for the first 24 to 48 hours of the injury, so that the swelling subsides. This should then be followed by hot fermentation in order to improve the muscle stiffness and also loosen them. But in case of a cervical disc disease neither cold nor heat penetrates the tissue to relieve inflammation, so it is best to use the one which feels better. Whichever, pack is chosen it should only be used for 20 minutes and then left for 40 minutes. Take care and do not use ice or heat directly against the skin. 
  • Stretch: Stretching exercises should be done in order to improve the flexibility and relieve pain in the neck. Exercises can be performed after warming up of the muscles by a warm towel or bath. Here are a few simple stretches for cervical disc disease that you can do at home:
  • Move the neck: As per the study by the American Medical Association, women who had neck pain got relief when they did exercises using light weight and resistance bands. This increased their endurance and strength of the neck muscles. Also, 30 minutes of exercise in the form of biking, walking, swimming, and biking is recommended to improve the blood flow.
  • Maintain the posture of the neck: A bad posture can cause a neck pain. Every time while standing, sitting, walking, lifting the posture should be kept in mind. The head and neck should be kept straight and the back should be supported in order to avoid neck pains. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Orthopedist.

Hello, He should go for meditation to reduce his stress and to nourish his affected area. Tk, plenty of water to hydrate his body. His diet be regular, non-irritant, easily digestible on time to avoid gastric disorder. Give homoeopathic medicine: @.Rhus tox 200-6 pills, thrice. Avoid junk food, cold intake, alcohol. Tk, care.

I am a 79 year old man, with reasonable health. I practice yoga asanas on alternate days and walk in the morning on other days. From one year I feel I am loosing balance and I stoop forward unconciously while walking. My knees do not seem to be strong enough and wobble a little early in the morning. I dont have sugar or high b. P. From a few months I feel I get tired very quickly. Any remidy for this?

Severe knee pain at your age is commonly due to osteoarthritis which means degeneration of joint cartilage causing friction between joint surfaces, leading to pain and stiffness. Lifestyle modifications and physical therapy are important treatment aspects to maintain functionality. 1. Knee stretching and strengthening exercises to improve knee strength. 2. Avoid jogging or physical activity that increases knee pain. But absolute rest is not advised. Engage in activity like swimming or walking, but perform activity which is painless 3. Application of analgesic cream over knee and warm fomentation before exercises. Apply cold pack after exercises 4. Weight loss if obese. 5. Simple analgesics like paracetamol when pain is present. 6. When pain or disability is significant, viscoelastic injection or PRP injection inside the knee joint is helpful. I). Injections of Viscoelastic substance or artificial synovial fluid into knee joint. This decreases friction in joint space ii). Injections of Platelet rich plasma derived from patients own blood into the knee joint. This regenerates the knee joint. Iii). In patients with severe pain, genicular nerve block can be given to decrease pain. For above treatment consult a pain specialist. 7. In advanced cases Knee replacement is the only option.

I suggest you follow the below for your condition: take mag phos 6x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and ice packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately.

avoid forward bending for relief back pain

My wife is having sever pain in right leg. Pain is some time above calf some time in ankle or leg fingers. While walking & standing she has sever pain. Over Two months. Lab report shows sever deficiency of calcium, vitamin D-3 &vitamin-12. X-ray report shows normal. MRI has been recommended, not yet taken. Presently she is consuming calcium tablets and pain killer. Please guide as to what is the disease actually.

You may be suffering from viral fever/flu. Take plenty of water/liquid diet and tab. Paracetamol 500 once to twice daily as sos basis for fever and body pain. Consult physician in case of not improving by 2-3 days.

Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

I am a 38 year old male and I had a fracture neck of femur (left leg) operated in 2010 and right now I am suffering from AVN. At times when I do some fatigue or do some stressful work I suffer from pain and also start limping and gradually it decreases after taking some rest. I also went to consult few doctors and they suggested me to go for stem cell therapy but they also told me that this type of treatment is in experimental stage and it is not necessary that things will be alright after the therapy, and they also suggested me to either go for core decompression pattern of operation but in this also they told me that the bone may collapse suddenly after the operation and I may have to get a ball socket joint operated immediately or if the operation is successful then this may last for a couple of years. My concern is that at this particular phase of my life as I am 38 years old I don't want to get myself a ball socket joint change as it may also last for 10-15 years and in my later stage of life I may need a second change of ball socket joint. I want to know that with physiotherapy, exercise and restrictions over my movement and care can I avoid a surgery and live a normal life, if so then for how long. Please suggest me with your valuable guidance .

Hello, As you are saying that problem is of Avascular necrosis (AVN) so only Physio therapy is not the option and also conservative treatment restriction of weight bearing is also not appropriate. There is combination of medical management and Surgical management that give best result so my advise kindly consult Orthopedition in a good Hospital like Apollo/ max/ Fortis Delhi/ AIIMS Delhi or any other good hospital, They can guide you best option
