There are a few conditions like this with whitish and yellowish which occur right from birth or childhood. It could be flurosis which is because of the water having high fluoride level. If iit is a genetic condition in which case it will be seen right from birth or early childhood. Other members in your family might also have this. In these cases you can try some procedures to change your teeth color by going to a dentist. It will not go with brushing. If you have other problems like cavities or weak teeth because of this condition then some treatment can be done for that too. If this has occurred later in life and not from birth then it could just be very poor oral hygiene maintenance and a lot of food particles could become hard and white over a long period of time. This could give a white or yellow appearance. For this also you need to visit a dentist and clean your teeth.

I am felling like I have spikes in my tongue and I am not able to feel anything in my tongue.

BDS
Dentist,
Hello maam. It seems that the problem you are facing is due to the inflmation of the filliform papillaes present at the tip of a toungue. It may be due to increased internal body tempreature. Bt there is no need to worry as well as no special treatment is required for it. U just have to drink a lot of water so as to lowere the tempreture and excrete the increased toxic wastes in the system. All you can do is avoid things with an overall warmth providing nature and if possible do a course of multivitamins or B-complex. U will surely feel the relief. Regards.

Dear user. The most common cause of bad breath is poor oral hygiene. Bacteria that build up on your teeth – particularly between them – as well as your tongue and gums, can produce unpleasant-smelling gases. These bacteria are also responsible for gum disease and tooth decay. If you are sure about your mouth and teeth, do consult a doctor for acidity and indigestion treatment. Take care.

We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need replacement with removable or fixed (bridges & implants) type of teeth. Implants are not recommended in uncontrolled diabetes. Cost varies with dentist. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

If the mouth ulcer is causing a lot of pain, gently rub a small ice cube over the spot or rinse your mouth with ice-cold water. You could also chew on a clove bud (lavang) and direct the juice generated to the area where the ulcer is located. Clove buds are a great ingredient to cure sore throat too. To prevent the ulcerated area from getting infected, make it a point to rinse your mouth with a little salt water. Remember, this won’t make the ulcer disappear, but it can help reduce the pain. Honey is a natural humectant. It helps reduce scarring and hastens the process of new tissue growth. This, along with its anti-microbial effect ensures faster healing of the mouth ulcer. Chew a few leaves of tulsi along with some water about three to four times every day. This will help in getting rid of ulcers faster and also have a preventive action against their recurrence. Applying a little coconut oil directly onto the mouth ulcer or chewing some coconut (fresh or dry) helps reduce pain and inflammation and hence, ulcers heal faster. Mix some sugar to crushed khus-khus seeds and consume this mixture for instant relief from ulcers. You could apply a little ghee directly to the ulcerated area, or drink a glass of buttermilk two or three times every day. Mouth ulcers left untreated generally go away in a week or so; with these home remedies, you can expect faster relief. However, if you notice an ulcer in the mouth that is persistently present although it does not cause you any pain, do not neglect it or try to treat it with home remedies beyond a few days. Make it a point to see a doctor soon because often, a painless mouth ulcer is one of the earliest signs of oral cancer.

Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Hi I have a burning sensation in my mouth when I eat something or chilli. So sir or mam can you tell me what is my problem?

BDS, MDS
Dentist, Gorakhpur
Since duration of your problem is not mentioned, I would suggest to take vitamin B12 supplement, zincovit capsule together. Try to avoid hot and spicy food stuffs for the time being. If problem still persists for longer than one or two months it indicates some other underlying problem. You have to visit an expert dentist regarding the same.

I heard that drinking water after brush cause chemical reaction in our stomach which is there in toothpaste manufacture! I think before brushing the teeth , drinking water is good for health that clears the stomach and loose the motion! Which is better before or after.
