You should know the safe periods, when pregnancy is not possible. First to seven and twenty first to the end of the cycle are safe. On other days use condoms or contraceptive pills (though they have lot of adverse effects)

As I am working in IT I have a lot of fat. How can I reduce my belly and hips fat?

Dear excessive weight gain occurs only when calories intake are more than calories burnt, to decrease extra fat on belly and hips you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach daily. 3. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 4. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 5. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 5 min per asana. 6. Do brisk walk early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 7. Avoid oily and fried foods, processed foods, fatty foods like butter, purified butter, cheese, whole-milk yogurt, cream, chocolate, etc. 8. Replace refined flour with whole-wheat flour and rice with brown rice or parboiled rice. 9. Drink three litres of water daily 10. Take 2 tab medohar guggul and 2 tab triphala guggul twice a day with luke warm water 30 min after meals.

Follow these best methods to easily gain weight and get a healthy body - * To gain weight, First take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calories food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow The diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * In morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of Bournvita or complan powder with breakfast. * After 2 hours of breakfast, Take 2 bananas or a bowl of boiled soyabeans. To increase your hunger & proper digestion of food - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after lunch * In lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. Exercise is very important so that muscles gain mass from the heathy diet. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid smoking & alcohol drinkg completely. You can take Weight Gain package privately for medicines and more detailed treatment.

Sir I have a problem of sleeping a lot. Since I am a student I need to stay awake and study in the night. Is there any pill (like pills for not sleeping) in the same way as there are pills for sleeping. Or any therapy which could help.

Hi dark circles usually have a underlying cause like iron deficiency. So check your iron levels that will help in deciding the course of action. For temporary solutions use cucumber juice or aloevera juice around the eyes to lighten the dark circles. As for weight gain eatfoods that are dense in nutrients and calories help in weight gain. Whole grains, nuts, butter of nuts, potatoes, bananas, beans rich in proteins. Make sure your meals are high on complex carbohydrates and proteins. Milkshakes with fresh fruits will help weight gain. Consider taking protein shakes. A minimum of 500 calories can be increased per day.

To guide you a bit, here you go: A.Breakfast (Between 8-10 a. M) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B.At 11 a. M - Cup of Green Tea c.Mid day meal (around 12 p. M) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D.Lunch (between 2-3 p. M) – Daal, roti, mix veg, buttermilk and salad. You can also take brown rice with daal in lunch. Try to get your food cooked in olive oil. Lace your salad with apple cider vinegar, black pepper and seeds like flaxseeds or chia seeds to make it nutrition packed lunch. E.Between 4 p. M – 5 p. M – Cup of Green Tea F.Evening (4-6 p. There is in ayurveda mention pinda swed. It is a type of swedan karma [phomentation] but it do some another manner. 1. Boiled a rice in milk then take this rice in one white cloth then tied it properly and warmly it rub on your face every morning for 15 days then stop it and do next month again 2. Apply almond oil on your face and massage for 3-5 min at night. By doing above thing you will get good result.

I am 24 year old and working 10 hours sitting job I am suffering from back pain from last 2 months. Please suggest what should I do?

Hi, this is Dr. Hitin mathur from new delhi. Welcome to lybrate. As far as your back pain is concerned it may be on account of 2 reasons- 1) your posture and job profile if prolonged sitting is causing excessive pressure on your back vertebra leading to pain. 2) your vitamin d levels may be low on account of low sun exposure due to your indoor job. So get your vitamin d and serum uric acid tests done fasting and an x ray of ls spine ap and lateral view. The x ray should be done empty stomach in the morning and tab charcoal 4 tabs and tab dulcolax 3 tabs should be taken at bedtime the night before the x rays. The tablets are to clear the bowel to get a clear x ray picture. Revert back with reports. In the meantime you can start tab zinase d 3 times a day after meals, tab pantocid 40 mg's once a day before breakfast and tab corcium k2 once a day on the evening. You can also learn spinal extension exercises from a physiotherapist and start doing them 3 times a day 20 mins each session. Avoid prolonged sitting, weight lifting and forward bending. Hot fomentation with hot water bag can help. Revert back with reports.
