In absence of description of the problem it is difficult to opine. Zentel is dewoming agent and you can repeat it every six months or year.

I have a 10 month baby girl. She is suffering a fever. How can I handle this? Please advise.

I have a 10 month baby girl. She is suffering a fever. How can I handle this? Please advise.
Most fevers are viral and can be managed by you by giving paracetamol drops or suspension according to the weight. It would need to be repeated every 5 to 6 hours for 2 to 3 days. Wiping the most hot parts of the child with lukewarm water will help to get the fever down faster. If child is not improving or has other problems you need to contact a pediatrician.

At three months, most of mother think, that breast milk is inadequate.its not true.If they give breast feed as per age of child in months, they will realise that weight gain is satisfactory. If you see that weight gain is less you can add cows milk fresh.and even you can give thin cereal soup in small quantity freshly prepare d at home. thanks, nice question.

If it is a long lasting problem, she may be suffering from allergic rhinitis. A clue to that would be other family members including parents or grandparents also suffering from some type of allergy. If so we would need anti allergy medicine, either orally or as nasal sprays.

My daughter is 3 years old and she is having cold and cough for more than 3 weeks. No fever. 2 days back visited pediatrician and he said lungs are clear and there is no sign of infection. He prescribed rekof. My concern is that may be she is suffering with any allergy! I want to know about types of colds and causes. Is that eating one chocolate daily can cause cold? My husband is asthmatic. So, I worried so much about my kids. Can you please tell precautions.

As per your description your daughter might have developed allergic rhinitis. It's multifactorial. May occur due to dusts and pollution. Season change. Some genetic predisposition is also there. Avoid dusts and pollution. Take extra precautions during season change. Regular change of pillow covers and bedsheets. Steam inhalation regularly may also help. Need to take regular treatment when symptoms arise. Delay in treatment or no treatment may create complications.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. It will be best to get her examined thoroughly because she is very young. We might require x rays and inflammatory profile markers looking at her age to rule out certain issues. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.
