How Do You Get Rid of Bad Breath?

BDS

How Do You Get Rid of Bad Breath?

Here are 3 Simple & effective tips that you can help you fight bad breath and keep your mouth healthy on a daily basis.

Practice Good Oral Hygiene

If you’re suffering from bad breath problems, it is important that you brush and floss twice a day. Use fluoride-based toothpaste that will help you to keep your mouth clean and remove food debris and plaque. It is also important to brush your teeth before you go to bed because bacteria can grow in your mouth while you’re asleep. It is also important that you scrape your tongue to remove any residue that may be building up after you eat your meals.

Keep Your Mouth Moist

Keeping your mouth moist is another way to eliminate bad breath issues which is why you need to ensure that you drink good amount of water throughout the day. Drinking adequate amount of water will help you stay hydrated as well. You can also chew sugarless chewing gums or candies that can stimulate production of saliva in your mouth to wash away food particles and bacteria. Choose chewing gums that have xylitol are always recommended.

Watch What You Eat

Certain foods can trigger bad breath in your mouth and therefore you need to keep log of what food you eat. This will help you to narrow down certain food items that worsen your bad breath problems. Similarly, there are certain medications that also trigger mouth odour, hence it is recommended that you talk about it with your dentist. Stay away from tobacco products and avoid smoking which also leads to bad breath issues.

We recommend that you visit your dentist regularly, at least twice a year to conduct an oral exam and professional teeth cleaning and to ensure that your mouth is clean and healthy. Your dentist will also be able to help you know whether the bad breath problem is due to general health conditions or triggered due to any food item or medications.

MBBS, Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology (DLO), DNB (ENT)

Antibiotics taken when indicated are safe. They don't harm your body, infact they help you. So meet ENT specialist and kindly follow the advice. If you are getting tonsillitis 5 to 6 times in a year please get tonsillectomy operation done. If less than 3 infections in a year, take antibiotics whenever you suffer infection. Blood coming from mouth needs to be evaluated.

I have been feeling like fever from last 2 months just for 2 or 3 days but this time I felt it for more than 4 days then I went for the blood test and got reports like this Salmonella typhi H=3: 20 Salmonella typhi O=1: 60 Paratyphi AH=80 Paratyphi BH=40 What is it mean? Is it normal or not? What should I do please guide.

M. sc Psychology, BHMS
Homeopath, Hyderabad
I think your referred physician might have explained, its a test for confirming paratyphoid/typhoid fever. When it comes +ve, then, there will be chances for giving apropriate t/t. Salmonella is a bacteria which causes typhoid fever. The remaining are just like different grades. To know the intensity. Usually, in this kind of recurrent, high fevers, tests like blood, culture, widal tests will be advised for confirmation.

MBBS

Dear Lybrateuser, - There are no pills to loose virginity - if intercourse is painful then apply lox 2% jelly 10-15 min before intercourse - do not be anxious or scared as it will lead to more problems - do regular exercise like yoga & deep breathing daily morning for 10-15 min to relax your mind.

I have a headache from last two days and I have taken all medicines from doctors and chemist I did not get result so can you tell me solutions?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, Some primary headaches can be triggered by lifestyle factors, including: Alcohol, particularly red wine Certain foods, such as processed meats that contain nitrates Changes in sleep or lack of sleep Poor posture Skipped meals Stress Insufficient sleep or rest Overexertion Nutritional deficiencies A secondary headache is a symptom of a disease that can activate the pain-sensitive nerves of the head. Any number of conditions — varying greatly in severity — may cause secondary headaches. Get your blood pressure checked, make a chart. Let me know about the readings, will give you medication accordingly. Also, get eyes tested as headache over the eyebrows is related to your weak eyesight or weak eye muscles. Medication: Meantime, can start with homoeopathic medicine - Bakson's Mig-Aid tablet/ after every 2 hours.
