It could be due to hypothyroidism or PCOS. Do a thyroid function test to rule out hypothyroidism 1.In PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome )many small cysts appear in ovary-causing hormonal imbalance and .there is production of excess Testosterone. Diet rich in Omega 3 Fatty acid reducece excess Testosterone and can be used in the treatment 2.They secrete more androgen 3.The symptoms are weight gain, acne, decreased ovulation, irregular period, infertility, depression, extra facial and body hair, hair loss from scalp, insulin resistance causing Diabetes. 4.it is genetically inherited, runs in families 5.it can be diagnosed by pelvic laparoscopy/vaginal ultrasound. 6.Treatment-surgery/anti androgen therapy 7.consult gynecologist for advice and treatment.

Hi, you haven't mentioned about the dates when these abortion has taken place. Do share the reports (if you do have any). The reason can be simple general weakness of the body after abortions. Don't worry, besides having healthy, nutritious and balanced food and enough of rest, take homoeopathic medicines - ignatia 200/ one dose once a day daily; five phos. And alfaalfa tonic - take both 3 times a day daily. Take them for a month and report me.

We have one baby and she was born after c section. Now my wife is pregnant and I want to know will it be normal delivery or we have to go for c section again.

It is quite possible. As long as you're an appropriate candidate for a vaginal birth after a cesarean, also known as a vbac, there's a good chance you'll succeed. Of course, your chances of success are higher if the reason for your prior c-section isn't likely to be an issue this time around. For example, a woman who has already had an easy vaginal delivery and then had a c-section when her next baby was breech is much more likely to have a successful vbac than one who had a c-section after being fully dilated and pushing for three hours with her first baby who was small and properly positioned.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Is Caffeine Good For The Health?

Caffeine is the most consumed stimulant in the world,
It is consumed in the form of coffee and tea.
At present there is no scientific data for promoting or discouraging coffee and/or tea consumption in the daily diet.
Short term benefits include mental alertness and improved athletic performance.
Short term adverse effects including headache, anxiety, tremors, and insomnia.
Long term adverse affects include generalized anxiety disorder and substance abuse disorders.
Long?term benefits are dose?dependent. Caffeine is associated with a reduced risk of Parkinson disease, Alzheimer disease, alcoholic cirrhosis, and gout. Both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee are also associated with a lower risk of type 2 diabetes.
Heavy coffee intake may trigger coronary and arrhythmic events in susceptible individuals, although coffee intake is not considered a long?term risk factor for myocardial disease.
Most studies show a modest inverse relationship between coffee consumption and all?cause mortality.
Caffeine withdrawal is a well?documented clinical syndrome with headache being the most common symptom.

The sugar levels mentioned by you show that it is gestational diabetes. This needs to be treated with medical nutrition therapy and exercise and if needed insulin injections. It necessary to maintain blood glucose level between 90 to 120 mg all through out the day. So it is essential that your gynecologist and physician together give you a proper advise. It is necessary to control hyperglycemis to prevent complications and out come of pregnancy.

Hello, you might be suffering with PCOD. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) occurs when very small cysts (small, fluid-filled sacs) develop in the ovaries. The usual symptoms of PCOS are light periods or no periods at all. This is because, in women with PCOS, ovulation (the release of an egg) may not take place as often as normal. You should opt Homoeopathic treatment, it has cure for PCOS. Treatment is based on totality of symptoms and constitution. It takes time but resolve the disease by root.In pcos first we target to get your periods back to normal. So get an ultrasound abdomen test done and share the report.

Hello lybrate-user causes for irregular periods stress stress, either emotional or physical, can delay your period. A new job, illness, depression, exam, fever, strenuous exercises or a weight gain or loss are some of the reasons that can increase your stress levels and affect your periods. Once you make some changes to alleviate your stress, you could become regular again. Improper eating habits improper eating can affect your hormones like estrogen and cause them to be very high (when you are overweight) or very low (in eating disorders like anorexia or bulimia). Improper production or levels of these hormones can interfere with your menstrual cycle and make them more sporadic and irregular. In this case, you may have delayed periods. Hormonal imbalance if you have hormonal imbalance which can affect your cycles. If you have recently stopped your birth control pill or are having thyroid trouble, you could have hormonal imbalance. Any problems with your hormone production centers like ovaries, adrenal or pituitary glands could also cause a delay in your period. Excessive exercise strenuous and over exercising can cause a dip in the total body fat, which can interfere with your hormonal levels, further affecting your periods. The body requires some amount of fat for ovulation and excessive exercises can hamper the equation drastically. However do not stop exercising completely, only do it moderately. Too much alcohol indulging in high amounts of alcohol can lead to increased estrogen and testosterone levels in the body, which plays havoc with the normal hormonal levels. Thyroid disorders thyroid disorders that lead to high or low hormonal production definitely can! you could either not ovulate at all or have a very weak ovulation cycle due to the disrupted levels of hormones, which can delay your periods or make them irregular. An infection bacterial infections, sexually transmitted diseases or pelvic inflammation can cause the uterus to become inflamed and result in bleeding. This could lead to a false alarm and make your body think that you are having your periods. However, if you notice pain, fever or vomiting along with bleeding, visit your doctor. Polycystic ovarian syndrome you may suffer from pcos or polycystic ovarian syndrome if your body produces excessive androgens or male hormones. Higher levels of androgens interfere with the normal function of the ovaries, leading to immature follicle formation. This does not allow you to ovulate normally and your cycles could be irregular or delayed. Try to rule out the above cause by primary health check up and investigations. Try to be in relaxed and positive attitude is very important. Rx m2 tone syrup 15 ml_0_15 ml dilution with equal amount warm water a/f chandraprabha vati 2_0_2 a/f with warm water danwantara vati 2_0_2 with warm water b/f for 3 weeks.

ovarian carcinoma can have a family history. All u need to do is yearly pap smears and if normal every 3 yrs. plus a routine ultrasound every year to look for ovarian mass. if u are too anxious u can even undergo hysterectomy on these grounds if u don't want a follow up.

Hello- Nipple discharge in a woman who's not pregnant or breast-feeding isn't necessarily abnormal, but a chronic discharge should be evaluated by a doctor. One or both breasts may produce a nipple discharge, either spontaneously or when you squeeze your nipples or breasts. A nipple discharge may look milky, or it may be clear, yellow, green, brown or bloody. Since you are suffering from 2011, I recommend you to to take it seriously and start medications.

My sister-in-law is suffering from suggestive of hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy of sever type from 2nd jan 15. On 1st jan 15 she had given a delivery of child and on next day she got suffer after giving injection. Now she is admitted in sms hospital jaipur on vantilaor from 1st day. Now at current time she is not giving any response, only she's eye and neck movment is showing. Now, my question is, will she recover from this disease, is any other treatment have. And how much chance to recover from the same. Please response on this query, as I am always thank'x full to you.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (hie) means neurological impairments or injuries caused by low oxygen. Lack of oxygen frequently damages not only the brain, but other organs as well, so that the deceased may have signs of more than brain injury. Often these include heart damage with abnormal blood pressures or heart rhythms, liver damage with elevated liver enzymes, kidney damage with low urine output and abnormal kidney function, gastrointestinal problems with abnormal feeding, low or high tone with floppy or stiff muscles and/or impaired control of breathing often requiring ventilation. If your sister in law is on ventilator then surely her other organs r involved and this can prove fatal. Now chances of recovery depends upon the severity of the damage of inadequate oxygen to the organs.
