There is no way you can nullify the harmful effects of smoking without giving it up. You can try nicotine gums and patches if you wish to abstain. Smoking for 2 months, generally does not predispose to cancer, but it is never too soon, to develop cancer. It generally does not sound like cancer yet, but I would still advise to quit smoking. Its uncool.

My blood pressure is high, when I check up it yesterday, what I do? Please help me.

My blood pressure is high, when I check up it yesterday, what I do? Please help me.
Hello. Get your blood pressure checked daily at the same time for monitoring. Lifestyle changes can help you control and prevent high blood pressure, even if you're taking blood pressure medication. Eat healthy foods. Consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Decrease the salt in your diet. So, avoid eating processed foods, such as canned soups or frozen dinners which contains extra salt in it. Keeping a healthy weight, or losing weight if you're overweight or obese, can help you control your high blood pressure and lower your risk of related health problems. Increase physical activity which can help lowering your blood pressure, manage stress, reduce your risk of several health problems. Get indulged in regular exercising (if your doctor allows you). Limit alcohol. Even if you're healthy, alcohol can raise your blood pressure. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Don't smoke. Tobacco injures blood vessel walls and speeds up the process of hardening of the arteries. Reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing or meditation. Getting regular physical activity and plenty of sleep can help, too. Monitor your blood pressure at home. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Essentia Aurea/ thrice daily which is a cardio-tonic which helps in maintaining blood pressure, improves muscle tone of the heart and narrowing of blood vessels.

Ayurvedic Remedies For High Blood Pressure

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Ayurvedic Remedies For High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure is also known as hypertension. Blood pressure is the force that is felt on the artery walls as the blood flows through it. What happens during high blood pressure is that this force of blood against the arterial walls increases.

People who are physically inactive, smoke regularly, consume excessive alcohol or are diagnosed with other underlying health conditions are at the maximum risks of this condition. Factors such as increased levels of stress, old age, psoriasis and pregnancy also contribute to high blood pressure.

Symptoms of High Blood Pressure:

The symptoms of high blood pressure include headache that lasts for several days, nausea, vomitting (rare), vertigo, lightheadedness, double vision, blurred vision, nose bleeding (epistaxis), heart palpitation and dyspnea (shortness of your breath). Children with high blood pressure can bear symptoms such as fatigue, seizures, irritability, respiratory disease and Bell’s palsy (inability to move facial muscles of either side).

Remedies for High Blood Pressure:

  1. Losing weight- Obesity is one of the chief contributors to this condition. Keeping a regular check on your weight and following a healthy diet plan can help you maintain blood pressure. Exercising everyday for 30 minutes can also lower your blood pressure and prevent it from shooting up.
  2. Eating healthy- Eating foods rich in potassium (fruits and vegetables), whole grains and foods low in LDL count can help reduce blood pressure. Limiting salt and sodium in your diet is also very beneficial in controlling your blood pressure.
  3. Smoking and alcohol consumption- Excessive alcohol consumption and smoking can cause sudden spikes in blood pressure. Quitting smoking and limiting alcohol consumption can normalize the blood pressure.
  4. Reduce stress- One of the major reasons for high blood pressure is being subject to excessive stress over a prolonged period of time. Try to meditate or practice yoga to be more calm and composed. Keeping mental stress at bay does wonders in reducing blood pressure. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an ayurveda.

Maintain good healthy lifestyle, do regular exercise for at least an hour twice a day in the form of brisk walking. If it still remains on the higher side you need to start medicines for bp. Tc.

Hello doctors,
My father has positive result in angiogram. Doc had told him to undergo a surgery. I would like to kno...
Angiogram positive does not indicate anything. Angiogram is a real time X ray of the heart blood vessels and assuming he is above 60 years of age, blockages are a natural process. Less than 25% of blockage cases require any sort of intervention. It is possible to reduce soft blockages, improve cardiac functioning as well as improve condition of all body blood vessels with ayurvedic medications we have been prescribing for over 12 years successfully. Please take a private appointment and send his angio reports so we can help with treatment. Best wishes.

The choice of anti anxiety drug to be used depend son severity of the anxiety, it's type, duration and relation with any stressors or biological problems like heart diseases, headaches, hormone imbalances etc. I would advise you not to make any wild guesses about treatment options and consider visiting a psychiatrist personally. Amixide h is used for anxiety but may not always be useful.

Is there a cure for Stuttering? I stutter while talking to people ever since I remember. Its severity has been decreased over the years, but it's still there. There is no problem while I talk to any of my family members because I'm very close to them. But while talking to my friends, strangers I became nervous, my heart beats increase and I end up stuttering. I'm looking for the solution because when I stutter people laugh and I can't tolerate the embarrassment. I'm a very sensitive person, I cry over my insult. I haven't gone to college since the last 3 years only because of this problem. I don't want to face people at all. I can't with anyone on phone. My life has became hell. So please tell me frankly if there is a solution or not. You may say ignore this flaw and move on in life, tolerate this embarrassment but I CAN'T. I took the homeopathic medicine for 6 months, it did help a bit but result was temporary.

Stuttering is only in front of strangers and not with family members, you do not need a speech therapist. You are a shy teenager who needs more exposure to life, both good and bad, being surrounded by protective family members will not help you always, go out in the wild world, study, do some constructive work that has rewards, learn hobbies, read good books and try to bring good grades. Luckily these days our laptops has taken place of our insulting friends & relatives. How about teaching kids using your tablet? you need behavior therapy minus medicines or doctors, stay away from negative people who make fun of your imperfections, but do not tease them once you become perfect!

Can we I know doctor can do open heart surgery at the age 70 year patients 3 walls are not working what is the chance...
Hyderabad has good hospitals. Age 70 is no setback criteria about evading heart surgery. Technology is advanced & grafts of blood vessels taken from elsewhere like own leg/arm are fitted during bypass surgery and these'new' blood vessels bypass the affected areas and supply blood to healthy areas of heart to make it function like'near' normal. Heart has innumerable hidden blood vessels which do not function and are called collaterals. During crisis, these collateral blood vessels open up and start functioning giving additional blood to heart. Have a heart and take 70 years old person for bypass surgery with positive mind and boosting his morale. A person admitted with will power to recover comes out after surgery as stronger because recovery is quicker.
