May be it is failing now. Get an xray of that tooth. Re-rct is an option to save the tooth. Visit an endodontist asap.

Hello I seem to be suffering from mouth ulcers and am not able to chew food as that area pains a lot. Would be great to know why mouth ulcers occur and how to cure them. Is it concerned with heat or unhygienic food?

I am 30 years old and suffering last week by wisdom tooth ache.
If the tooth is in bad position then extraction of the wisdom tooth is the solution, otherwise rct may help you. Without seeing the radiograph or clinically not possible to suggest precisely.

Sir, I am 54 and strong. However, my teeth are becoming very sensitive to cold-drinks and weak to bite hard stuff like bones, etc. Kindly advice.

As per your complain it likes to be generalized attrition shayd apke sare dat uppar se ghis gae lagte hain due to aging or habit of bruxism and tobacco products chewing. The other reason is effect due to severe heavy hard brushing causing wearing of teeth leads to sensitivity use Colgate sensitive pro relief and ch-x mouthwash for 1 month if it still persist then go for full mouth rehabilitation in which doctor does rct in all your hypersensitive teeth followed by capping.

Kindly apply orahelp gum paint twice daily for 15 days. Take multivitamins for a month. Also notice that you are not constipated, stressed or having lack of sleep as these are few of the reasons for ulcers. Avoid hot and spicy food as this may irritate the ulcers. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene.

Hi lybrate-user, for better looking teeth, the first and most important thing is that you teeth should be clean, and free from plaque (accumulated food debris) and stains. For that, you must get professional scaling/cleaning done from a dentist. After that, you can head for tooth whitening procedures such as bleaching and laser tooth whitening. Home remedies such as lemon peel and apple cider vinegar can be used, but being acidic in nature, they eventually wear off the outermost layer of teeth (enamel) making them weak in the long run. So better to go for trusted scientific procedures. Hope that helps.

Bad breath, medically called halitosis, can result from poor dental health habits and may be a sign of other health problems. Bad breath can also be made worse by the types of foods you eat and other unhealthy lifestyle habits. Basically, all the food eaten begins to be broken down in your mouth. As foods are digested and absorbed into the bloodstream, they are eventually carried to your lungs and given off in your breath. If you eat foods with strong odors (such as garlic or onions), brushing and flossing -- even mouthwash -- merely covers up the odor temporarily. The odor will not go away completely until the foods have passed through your body. Practice good oral hygiene. Brush twice a day with fluoridetoothpaste to remove food debris and plaque. Brush teeth after you eat (keep a toothbrush at work or school to brush after lunch). Don't forget to brush the tongue, too. Replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months or after an illness. Use floss or an interdental cleaner to remove food particles and plaque between teeth once a day. Rinse with an antibacterial mouthwash twice a day. Dentures should be removed at night and cleaned thoroughly before being placed in your mouth the next morning. See your dentist regularly -- at least twice a year. He or she will conduct an oral exam and professional teeth cleaning and will be able to detect and treat periodontal disease, dry mouth, or other problems that may be the cause of bad mouth odor.

Having ulcers are common after braces are put up, apply hexigel ointment on ulcers 3 to 4 times a day. Massage for a min and then spit with water. Ulcer should eventually subside.
