Using an appropriate tooth paste is very necessary for the health of our teeth. Tooth pastes which contain flouride help in keeping the teeth healthy by reducing the risk of tooth decay.

it seems that your wife is suffering from long duration so for suggesting remedy proper case history is necessary. Give him food rich in fibers like whole grain food, oats, beans, peas, sorghum, flax seed, broccoli, all fruits, nuts etc. Avoid packaged food , bakery items and Maida. Encourage her to drink lots of water. Daily walk and increased physical activity is necessary. Wake up early in the morning drink luke warm water at least 2 glasses and walk. Consult privately with a good homeopathic doctor .

Hi I recently asked what will happen if some tissue paper is left inside teeth while filling. Most of the doctors said that the filling will fall out. I want to know why will the filling fall out even when the filling is put in layers and the tissue paper is at the bottom beneath all the layers of filling. Thank you.

Most important factor for filling to stay in place is bonding. Bonding can either be chemical with the help of bonding agents used for composite fillings or directly of the cement like glass ionomer with the tooth surface. It varies from one cement material to another. In your case it is hard to understand why tissue paper was left? In this case tissue paper fibers will interfere with the bonding and definitelt increase the chance of failure of restoration.

Do not use your teeth for doing something other than chewing food. Using them for cracking nuts, removing bottle tops or ripping open packaging can result in chipped or broken teeth.

Gums bleeding is due to infection in gums. Get scalling done by dentist. Take vit c tab for one week. Use proper brushing techniques. Brush, floss n use mouthwash twice daily. Massage your gums with your finger tips after brushing. Keep your tongue clean. Rinse your mouth well after each meal. Wait and watch for a few days for the pain to come down and after that get a cap done over the tooth. If the pain doesn't subside, you have to get the procedure repeated.

A major cause of tooth sensitivity is root exposure. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations (full mouth x-ray) to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning along with desensitizing procedures and / or artificial enamel filling. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. Until then apply a desensitizing paste (sensodyne tooth paste) on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.
