Things You Can Do To Keep Things New in the Sheets

Things You Can Do To Keep Things New in the Sheets

Sticking to routine is probably not the best idea when it comes to sex. Sex is about getting adventurous and going wild. So here is how you can spice things up in bed and make things interesting when you have been in a long-term relationship.
Here is a list of things that you can do to keep things in the sheets:

  1. Surprise your partner every once in a while: Everybody loves surprises, especially when it is related to sex. It can be anything, from having your partner not say a word while you yank his clothes off and get busy, to walking up to him with whipped cream on the right parts of your body. The key is to keep things interesting, so maybe do not do this too often. Save it for special occasions.
  2. Morning sex once a week, at least: Waking up to a mind-blowing orgasm? No better way to start a day. And the best part is that your partner is right next to you. Studies have shown that sex in the morning helps to raise your alertness and keeps your mood elevated all day.
  3. Share your wildest fantasies: When you have been in a long term relationship, your comfort level is probably at its peak. So go ahead and buy that stringy nurse costume online and surprise your partner. Or go out on a nice long drive, and don’t forget to get frisky with him in the car.
  4. Holiday themed sex: A Santa hat and a ribbon around your waist. That ought to keep you both busy all Christmas.
  5. Try a new position every month: The next time you go to the bookstore, grab yourself a copy of The Kamasutra and help yourselves to the more realistic positions. That can give a wonderful twist to your love life.
  6. Role play: You have been with each other for years now. You both perhaps know each other inside out. Try a little game called role playing where you meet each other all over again. To add to the fun, whip up some new names for each other.
  7. Put technology to its best use: Send a text explaining all the dirty things you would do to your partner after he gets home. That will have him looking forward to what is coming up all day. Maybe attach a tempting picture of yourself, for men are visual creatures. And don’t forget the “NSFW”.

Premature Ejaculation - Management Techniques That Can Help!

Premature Ejaculation - Management Techniques That Can Help!

Premature ejaculation (pe), both the partners may end up experiencing highly unsatisfactory sex. In fact, it can increase anxiety, which may deteriorate the problem.
Remember there is not a single magical drug or medicine in the chemist shop which can solve your problem overnight especially if you have chronic pe. Before seeking any medical treatment for pe, it is appropriate to consider the varied options for solving this issue. These include counseling with a sexual therapist, non- medical treatments like various exercises/ techniques and medical treatments including both modern and alternative medicine.

A. Counseling from an expert - sexual therapist or sexual medicine practitioner:
It is well understood that sex is in the mind. However, repeated pe/ failures can lead to lot of stress and disappointments. Anxiety due to pe itself is a big issue and can lead to recurrence of pe.
Reassurance from sexual therapist / counselor that pe is not a disease and can be easily treatable is relaxing for men who are facing this problem. So please share your detailed history and sexual habits with the expert. This may help the expert to guide you well.

B. Behavioral changes:
Some basic things may also help you to deal with the problem.
1. Some men attempt to treat themselves for premature ejaculation by distracting themselves by thinking nonsexual thoughts (such as naming cricket players and records) to avoid getting excited too fast when approaching their partners. This helps them to focus their attention away from the sexual stimulation.
2. It is also suggested to men that they should relieve themselves of the sexual tension by ejaculating with self masturbation 1-2 hours before attempting sexual intercourse with their partner.

3. Using condoms is known to help in premature ejaculation in some men by decreasing sensation.
4. Women on top position usually helps to delay orgasm in men

C. Exercises & techniques:
There are several exercise and techniques you can try sitting in your home.
1. The" stop and start" method:
This technique involves sexually stimulating the man by self until he feels like he is about to reach orgasm. Then he needs to stop the stimulation for about 20-30 seconds and then start it again. Repeat this pattern until the man wants to ejaculate. This can be continued for 10-15 minutes. At the end of say, 10th or 15th minute, continue stimulation until the man reaches orgasm and ejaculates.
2. The" squeeze" method:
This technique involves sexually stimulating the man by self or by his partner until he recognizes that he is about to ejaculate. At that point, the man or his partner gently squeezes the end of the penis (where the glans penis meets the shaft) for at least 15 seconds. Stop sexual stimulation for about 60 seconds, and then start it again. The person or couple may repeat this pattern for at least 10-15 minutes. At the end of say, 10th or 15th minute, continue stimulation until the man reaches orgasm and ejaculates.
3. Practice breathing exercises
Deep breathing can greatly help in controlling the arousal and tension that cause early ejaculation. Men must avoid shallow breathing as it can trigger premature ejaculation. Instead, what you should do is spend 5 seconds taking in a long deep breath; then hold it for 3 seconds and then exhale for the next 5 seconds. If you can do this for 5 minutes in the bedroom without pause then you can control premature ejaculation. In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

Symptoms And Treatment Of Chlamydia!

Chlamydia is a Sexually Transmitted Disease. It is generally found in men and women under the age of 25. Researchers have found that in the United States about 2.9 million individuals develop this disease every year.

Here are things that you must know about the disease:

What is it all about?
It is caused due to bacterial infection and is transferred sexually. You can be infected with disease by having vaginal, oral or anal sex with the patient. You must be aware of the fact that you can develop chlamydia even if your partner doesn’t ejaculate inside your vaginal tract. If you had suffered from this disease in the past, you can still get it again by having unprotected sex with an infected person.

What are the symptoms of this disease?
There aren’t any obvious symptoms for this disease. Most of the patients show no sign of developing this disease. Thus, you never get to know when you were infected actually. However, some patients do reflect some symptoms after 4 to 5 days of infection. These symptoms include abnormal penis or vaginal discharge and painful, burning urination. Men can also develop a bleeding rectum.

How do you know for sure that you are infected?
Well, you can get yourself tested to confirm about the infection.

What happens if you don’t get treated?
If the patient doesn’t seek medical help, he or she is posing threat to his or her health. Women may develop pelvic inflammatory diseases, infertility or ectopic pregnancy. In men, it can cause pain and fever as the infection spreads along the tube carrying sperm.

Is there any treatment?
This disease is curable. But it is important to avoid sexual contact with anyone during the period of treatment or medication. First, you need to undertake the test to confirm the infection. You shouldn’t have sex for seven days after the treatment is over. It is advisable to get yourself tested thrice in a year.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

How to Manage Premature Ejaculation? Medical Treatment Options

How to Manage Premature Ejaculation? Medical Treatment Options

As discussed earlier, premature ejaculation (pe) occurs when a man reaches the peak of sexual excitement and ejaculates before he wants it to happen. When pe interferes with the sexual pleasure of a man or his partner, it becomes a medical problem.

Several factors such as psychological problems (eg. Anxiety), penile hypersensitivity, habituation of quick sex / masturbation, alcohol abuse, hormonal imbalance (e. G. Thyroid problem), and even genetic problems may cause pe.

Medical (allopathic) therapy for pe treatment:

Drugs used for the management of pe reduce sensitivity and anxiety, improve blood flow or even affect some chemical mediators present in the brain. These classes of drugs include local anaesthetics, antidepressants, and phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors.

Anaesthetic compounds were the first medical treatment proposed for pe management. They were applied topically to the surface of the skin. Lidocaine-prilocaine sprays or creams decrease the sensation of the penis and increase the time taken to ejaculate during vaginal penetration. These sprays / creams are applied 10 to 20 minutes prior to sexual activity. Side effects of topical agents include partial loss of sensation of the penis, absorption in vagina resulting in vaginal numbness and irritation.

Treatment medications include selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (ssris), which interact with a receptor (5-ht2c) present in brain and increases the production of serotonin. They also help in reducing anxiety and depression associated with pe. Through this mechanism, they prolong the time to reach ejaculation.

Several ssris have increasingly become used as" off-label" for pe. Among the available ssris, paroxetine and dapoxetine are more beneficial with lesser side effects as compared to other ssris. These medications are associated with sexual side effects including decreased fertility and erectile dysfunction. Dapoxetine is a recent ssri which acts quickly and cleared rapidly from the body. Adverse effects with ssris are usually minor and include fatigue, mild nausea, loose stools and sweating. Other side effects may include decreased sexual urge and increased tendency to suicide, especially with long-term paroxetine.

Another potential treatment option for pe are classes of medications which increase the blood flow by dilating the blood vessels of the penile region and prolong the ejaculation time (phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors). But a headache, dizziness, flushing, body aches associated with them have limited their use in pe.

At present, clinicians need to consider all treatment modalities when evaluating a man with pe, as each patient may respond differently and experience variable side effects. Additional and more effective therapies need to be developed having least side effects.

Ayurvedic therapy for pe treatment:

Vajikaran in Ayurveda is an important treatment modality which increases sexual capacity and improves health. In Sanskrit, vaji means horse, the symbol of sexual potency and performance thus vajikaran means producing a horse's vigor, particularly the animal's great capacity for sexual activity in the individual. Vajikaran therapy reenergizes all the seven dhatus (body elements) and restores equilibrium and health. It also offers a solution to minimize the shukra (sperm and ovum) defects.

There are many formulations which are used in vajikaran. Some of the commonly used formulations include vrihani gutika, vrishya gutika, vajikaranam ghritam and upatyakari shashtikadi gutika. Vrihani gutika is one of the potent formulations while vrishya gutika is highly potent aphrodisiac used in the treatment of pe. Vajikaranam ghritam enhances the strength of penis. Upatyakari shashtikadi gutika is useful for the enhancement of the fertility.

Also, chapdraprabha vati and kaunch pak are known to increase sexual vigor and semen consistency, thereby helping to prolong ejaculation time and sex pleasure.

Erectile Dysfunction: How to Manage it Effectively?

Erectile Dysfunction: How to Manage it Effectively?

How to manage it effectively?

There are enough options available which can keep every man sexually active regardless of the cause of erectile dysfunction (ed). Here's how therapy can take place.

Counselling sessions:

As with an electrical circuit, if there are any breaks in the system it will not function as a unit. Part of the process of psychosexual therapy would be to think about the actual emotional and/or psychological issues behind ed, and to attend to these with weekly counselling sessions. This realisation is an important first step for you to begin and resolve your erection problem. The patient normally implements the therapy advice at home, either alone or with a partner, between therapy sessions. This may help you maintain an erection for once, gradually building confidence.

Relieving sexual anxiety:

Telling your partner before you make love that you have this anxiety, and the feelings it causes. As a result, your partner will understand, and the two of you can work on it together.

You can reduce some worries by being more giving with foreplay, even if your sexual performance isn't what you or your partner wanted, your partner will still be satisfied.

Consider regular exercise which brings confidence in your body as your energy is also an important part of overcoming sexual anxiety.

Non-medical therapies

Watermelon juice (nature's viagra) and ginseng (herbal viagra): l-citrulline, an amino acid, present in watermelon can bring about significant improvement in blood flow to the penis, showing an improvement in erectile function. Another herb called ginseng, specifically 'red ginseng,' is known as the 'herbal viagra' that can improve sexual performance. Several research studies provide evidence for the effectiveness of these herbs in ed treatment.

Kegel exercises: pelvic exercises, involving the portion of the body between your waist and thighs, are commonly known as kegel exercises. Three months of kegel exercises twice daily can help to significantly improve your erection ability which strengthens the penile muscle. They also promote urinary control.

Acupuncture therapy: the acupuncture needles are placed in the wall of the abdomen. By stimulating specific acupoints, the practitioner aims to restore the proper flow of energy in the body resolving ed.

Eat right: scientific study at Massachusetts on male aging has found that eating a diet rich in fruit, vegetables, fish with fewer red and processed meat, whole and refined grains decreased the likelihood of having ed. Intake of a daily multivitamin and fortified foods is the best remedies for treating ed.

Walking: just 30 minutes of walking a day is linked to 41% drop in risk for ed. Moderate exercise can help restore sexual performance in obese middle-aged men with ed.

Attention towards vascular health and making body slim: high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, and high triglycerides can all damage arteries in the penis along with heart and brain thereby leading to ed. Maintaining a trim waistline is a good defence for ed, as men with a 42-inch waist are 50% more likely to develop ed in comparison to 32-inch waist people.

Avoid excessive alcohol: chronic heavy drinking of alcohol can cause liver damage, nerve damage, and other conditions, interfering with the normal balance of male sex hormone (androgens) levels ultimately leading to ed.

Intake of l-arginine: l-arginine, an amino acid, which is naturally present in the body and helps make nitric oxide, supports a successful erection. Nitric oxide is responsible for making the blood vessels relax, which helps sustain an erection for men.

Medical therapy:

Ed can also be treated with oral medications, drugs insertions or injections into the penis. Oral medications that are normally prescribed to treat the dysfunction work for about 80% of men. They work by boosting the natural signals, which are generated during sexual activity so as to help you sustain an erection. Alprostadil is a type of medicine that causes blood vessels to expand, increasing blood flow to the penis, thus facilitate an erection. Cialis, Levitra, staxyn and viagra work by a similar mechanism to cause erections. There are subtle differences in how long the drug works and how quickly it works. A vacuum erection device is a plastic tube that slips over the penis, making a seal with the skin of the body. A pump at the other end of the tube creates a low-pressure vacuum around the erectile tissue, which results in an erection.

Ayurvedic medications:

Klaibya in Ayurveda is defined as the inability to attain and keep sufficient rigid (firm) erection which is very essential during sexual intercourse for the sexual needs or the needs of his female partner. Also vajikarana in Ayurveda means producing a horse's vigor. Some of the herbs used in vajikarana include:

  • Bulb of allium sativum (garlic)
  • Root of asparagus recemosus (shatavari)
  • Root of boerhavia diffusa (punarnava)
  • Whole part of Cocculus cardifoli (guduchi)
  • Root of panax ginseng (ginseng)
  • Seeds of myristica fragraus (nutmeg)
  • Leaf and root of withania somnifera (ashwagandha)
  • Leaf and seeds of ginkgo bioloba (ginkgo)
  • Pitch of asphaltum bitumen (shilajit)
  • Dried root of lepidium meyenii (maca)

Reasons Why You Suffer From Painful Intercourse!

Reasons Why You Suffer From Painful Intercourse!

Severe pain during intercourse causes difficulty in a relationship in both partners. Sometimes a sustained occurrence of pain might be an indication of some serious medical dysfunction. As such, consult a doctor as soon as the pain arises. Contrary to popular beliefs, sexual pain can occur in both male and female.

In female, the reasons behind the painful sexual intercourse might be:

  1. Vaginismus, a condition when the vaginal muscles tighten up mainly due to anxiety or fear and cause significant pain with a tearing sensation.
  2. The pain can arise due to vaginal infection due to yeast or any form of sexually transmitted disease or pelvic inflammatory diseases.
  3. A severe injury in the vagina during childbirth or any other accident and psychological stress can also cause severe pain during sex.
  4. Sometimes, uterine or menopause problems (formation of fibroids in the uterus) can also cause pain.
  5. Cyst formation in the ovary or endometriosis (when the inner tissue lining of the uterus tends to grow outside) can also cause severe pain during intercourse.

Among men:

  1. Some men can experience pain during intercourse because of allergy to the fluids of the vagina or the chemical content of certain contraceptives.
  2. You can experience pain because of undiagnosed sexually transmitted diseases like herpes or gonorrhea
  3. The pain might also occur due to urinary tract infections or side effects from certain medications.
  4. Severe pain just a few moments before ejaculation can be a result of inflammation of the prostate glands and should be immediately diagnosed as it might be a signal of prostate cancer.

For treating pain during sex in female, you should opt for the following procedures

  1. If the pain is caused due to vaginal dryness after menopause, you should consider the application of prescribed lubricants or jellies to reduce the pain.
  2. If the pain occurs due to severe anxiety or stress, sex therapy can help you improve physical intimacy.
  3. If there are other symptoms like severe bleeding or irregular periods in addition to the pain, a visit to the physician is recommended.

Quite similarly in men

  1. If the pain occurs due to severe anxiety or stress, sex therapy can help you improve physical intimacy.
  2. If the pain results from side effects of certain medications, you should try changing your prescribed medication after doctor’s suggestion.
  3. In extreme cases, the doctors might suggest hormone replacement surgery.
