t often takes months for the skin to regain its normal color once the spots have cleared. Vitiligo can be treated with topical creams, UV light treatment, or, in serious cases, surgery.

Antibiotics - arthritis link

It had been found in recent study that children who take antibiotics have an increased risk of developing juvenile arthritis compered to who do not receive antibiotics. Upper respiratory tract infections treated with antibiotics were more strongly associated with juvenile arthritis. Use of antifungal and antiviral drugs was not associated with juvenile arthritis. The patients with juvenile arthritis are also more vulnerable to serious infections because their immune system may not function properly.

I 19 years old man and I am suffering with back pain. I set more of time of study.
Hello, sounds you give excessive undue stress/load on your spine by sitting for a prolonged time while studying. First of all avoid long time sitting without back support. Second, keep moving after every ten - twenty minutes like a gentle brisk walk in your room will suffice. Never sleep on your stomach instead prefer sleeping on your side. Apply hot pack on your pack for 20 min twice daily. And do gentle leg raising exercise one at a time at 60 degree with heep and knee straight by lying on your back. Repeat ten times on both legs. Twice daily. Have lots of water, prefer lime water early morning. Hope it helps.

Health Supplements - Do We Really Need Them?

Health Supplements - Do We Really Need Them?

It is important for you to have a healthy and balanced body in order to perform your daily activities well. People often think health supplements are efficient alternatives to a healthy diet and regular physical exercise while most of the doctors and nutritionists believe that there is no need for any health supplement if you take in right quantity and quality of food and engage in regular exercise. While health supplements are not alternatives to a healthy lifestyle, they are somewhat necessary for everyday health in the hectic lifestyles of today.

Nowadays, stress (learn more about for Controlling Everyday STRESS) is a constant companion and the foods that we consume are often not of proper quality. You may think that you are taking foods full of nutrients but pesticides and chemicals used farming diminish the nutrient content from the crops. This creates a necessity for taking health supplements for the proper nourishment of body.People with certain medical conditions also need supplements. Supplements fill the gap in your diet.

Beneficial health supplements:

  1. Pregnant women and breastfeeding (leanr more about the Benefits of Breastfeeding) women need iron supplements. Folic acid can be supplemented in your diet in order to reduce the chances of birth defects.
  2. You can take in vitamin D supplements if they don't get enough sunlight every day. Adults, especially after the age of 40 need vitamin D and calcium supplements to maintain bone health.
  3. Adults above the age of 40 are also advised to take vitamin B-12 supplements.

Supplements have some side effects depending upon your health condition. If you take some supplements along with some other medicines or before surgeries, they can lead to serious complications. Research has concluded that some vitamin and minerals supplements particularly iron supplements, increase the risk of death. So it is necessary to have a proper examination of the body before you take health supplements. The risk factors include:

  1. Taking vitamin B6 regularly in excess of 100 mg may lead to damage of your nerves
  2. Taking 400 international units of vitamin E on a regular basis increases the health risk and may even lead to premature death
  3. Taking multivitamins does not supplement poor eating habits. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult the doctor.

There is a risk that a cyst of around 8 cms might undergo torsion and cause pain. It can be removed by endoscopy also till 28 weeks of pregnancy safely if it is a benign cyst. It only gives scar the size of a bindi and is painless too.

My friend is having fever for last 2 days. What medicine he should take? Also tell about food good for him.
Take homeopathic medicine aconite 200, 6 pills 4 times a day for 3 days. Follow up after 3 days. Take Fluid-Rich Foods, Fruits like oranges, strawberries, watermelon, pineapple, kiwi and cantaloupe are rich in vitamin C, an antioxidant that supports the health of your immune system. If you can't take solid foods, get your protein boost from a high-protein shake, a smoothie made with low- or nonfat milk, yogurt or tofu, or milk added to hot tea or coffee. Eating protein when you have a fever can help give your immune system the energy it needs to fight off infection.
