Hello, Vitiligo usually does not have any connection with eye disorders. Consult a opthalmologist and get your examination done for the cause for decreased eyesight.

I have distorted vision due to intermediate uveitis. Is the distorted vision something that'll remain forever.

I have distorted vision due to intermediate uveitis. Is the distorted vision something that'll remain forever.
THe distorted vision will clear as the uveitis is healed. Intermediate, posterior, and pan-uveitis are often treated with injections around the eye, medications given by mouth, or, in some instances, time-release capsules that are surgically implanted inside the eye. Other immunosuppressive agents may be given. A doctor must make sure a patient is not fighting an infection before proceeding with these therapies.

Hello. My age is 23. I have eyesight of (-3.0). Please suggest how to reduce my sight naturally and remove my lenses permanently with out lasik surgery.

Hello. My age is 23. I have eyesight of (-3.0). Please suggest how to reduce my sight naturally and remove my lenses ...
Hello lybrate-user. Sorry about your problem. It would be difficult to reduce/ remove your (-3.0) power naturally without undergoing surgery. The reason being that usually the refractive error/ power of the eyes is determined by certain genetic factors. These factors are responsible for the growth of the eyeball. The length and curvature of the eyeball determine its refractive error. It would be a good idea to take good care of your eyes, eat healthy antioxidant rich food and avoid heavy weight lifting. All these suggestions are to strengthen your retina. Likewise, you could use contact lenses as alternative to glasses. In the future, if the need be, you could undergo assessment for refractive surgery. Hope my suggestions helped you.

Keratoconus is progressive eye disease in which round cornea thins& begin to bulge into a cone like shape. This cone deflects the light as it enters the eye causing distorted vision. It may occur inone or both eyes & usually begins in growing age.   Research suggests the weakness of the corneal tissue leading to keratoconus, may be due to imbalance in enzyme within cornea making it susceptible for free radical causing it weaken& bulge forward. In mild  keratoconus, soft contact lens may help.  Treatment for progressive  keratoconus may include corneal cross-linking, custom soft  contact lens, permeable contact lens, scleral or semiscleral lens, corneal  transplant, piggyback contact lens, corneal collagen cross-linking non-invasive procedure using topical application of vit B2 & ultra violet light to strengthen chemical bond in cornea effectively stabilising the eyes of children with keratoconus. Last remedy to be considered is penetrating keratoplasty. In.
