Hi the ear canal is a tortuous one and therefore it is unlikely that you would have injured your drum. You will have to take antibiotics and analgesics for the trauma caused to the canal.

Get basic tests for heart done-ecg, echo, stress tests and blood for sugar, lipids do not let others to affect you to the extent that you develop stress pain, chest pain etc. Develop self confidence and remain aloof and focused on your job at hand rather than being in a crowd and getting fears of a heart disease. Do get back here with reports. You are 19 years old teenager and hopefully the reports will be normal and take away the doubts but lots of good habits of healthy eating and exercise, studies, jobs later and a purposeful life etc you have to inculcate now to stay with you for life.

Take one cup of spinach juice. Still better, call a nurse to give a plain water enema. Do not eat salt. Take rest. Chicken pox is a self curing disease. Be careful in the last days of the disease when it can infect others. You are also over weight. For your long term good health do reduce weight to about 60 kgs

Dear the condition may be chronic sinusitis which we equate to kind of pratishyaya in ayurveda. Daily usage of steam and intake of 3-4 tulsi leaves with 1tsp honey+ a pinch of pepper powder will help. Boosting his immunity with certain medicines would be better.

I am recommending you an following remedy which will surely help you take one table spoon of untamed rose hips, add a pair of glasses of boiling water, boil it for ten minutes and let it sit for 2-3 hours. Take 1/4 - 1/2 of the extract 3-4 times each day with honey. Mix one a part of fresh raw juice with one part of honey. Take 1/4 glass of the combination three times on a daily basis. Take one table spoon of untamed rose hips, add a pair of glasses of boiling water, boil it for ten minutes and let it sit for 2-3 hours. Take 1/4 - 1/2 of the extract 3-4 times each day with honey. Surely you will get results.

As your child's weight is above 15 kg. And you are giving dolo 250 you can give 1 ml at a time. Don't give more than 4.5 ml in 24/hour. So you can give 1/ml at a time.repeat after 4 hour if needed. But don't repeat more than 4 time in 24 hour

You should get your father a book written by Dr. Dean Ornish entitled, 'Reversing the Heart Disease'. It will give you all the guidance and more about dealing with heart disease. As for smoking I am sure he would have been told strictly to avoid consumption of tobacco smoke by the heart surgeons. Here are the things you can do for your father to quit smoking: Ideally you must spend a lot of time convincing him to stop the smoking. Of course he will agree sometimes and sometimes he will change his mind. Giving up is difficult but if you highlight the dangers of smoking regularly he may one day decide to quit. Never give up on him. Because of his age and quantity of cigarettes smoked and the length of abuse, he will find is even harder. When quitting, he must take one day at a time. If he looks too far ahead he will get discouraged and will give up. If he sits and counts the number of days he has given up, that will also focus too much on achievement. He must focus on the here and now, on that day to be precise. After all quitting is not that easy due to many factors. So even if he fails one day, he must try and try again. Very few people succeed in their first attempt. His persistence and yours will eventually pay off. The urge to discontinue is hampered by many factors but the worst of them is the conditioning. In fact these conditions can exist all through the day unlike other addictions. But his desire to want to stop is the most important factor. It is important to find out about the ill-effects of smoking to have a reason that alarms him about continuing in the habit. The information is really scary but true and he must remind himself about this every day. The nicotine in tobacco smoke stimulates the heart beat to raise the blood pressure in no time at all. Having had a heart surgery can you imagine the extent of damage he still doing to his heart?! So he must avoid it like the plague: it is just very bad medicine for him. In fact it is highly toxic too. He will need to stop smoking or consuming any tobacco related items with immediate effect. He should start exercises, gradually increasing it over a period of time. Do deep breathing exercises every time he feels like smoking (try Yoga), and replace the oral urge with some healthy food substitute to satiate the need. He may also take hard candy or chewing gum. If the urge is too strong, then use nicotine chewing gum or nicotine patches, for a little while until the smoking drive reduces, substantially. He may also join Smokers Anonymous in your city where the support is really extraordinary for like-minded people who are also in the same situation. Keep him occupied or engaged with interesting activities during the times when it is most tempting. Keep the company of non-smokers for some time i.e. at least for the first 21 days. Above all announce it to everyone that he has quit smoking. Here’s a piece of very good advice: even if he accidentally/willfully takes a cigarette, it is not the end of the world – he can start the cessation all over again. He must persevere with the best support until he defeats this addiction. Counseling is very useful in the initial stages and when temptations are at their highest. Everyone who can help him should be involved until he succeeds. If all this does not work, you can admit him into a rehabilitation center and let him stay there until he has completely quit the habit.

It could be epididymo orchitis 1. Take one tablet of crocin pain relief sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets daily 2. Apply scrotal support bandage 3. Give warm fomentation, take rest 4. You have to take antibiotic if no relief 5. Consult doctor for further advice.

Hi, please follow these tips to stop snoring: - reduce your weight if you are obese. - perform pranayama (breathing exercises) everyday. - quit smoking which irritates the mucosal layer of the nose and throat and causes blockage and results in snoring. - quit alcohol and sedatives which relax the throat muscles and results in snoring. - sleep on sides instead on back. - elevate the head by using a thick pillow which eases the breathing. - clear the nose before going to bed. - establish regular sleep pattern. - keep the bedroom air moist by using humidifier; as dry air irritates the mucosal membrane in the nose and throat. - perform throat exercises like repeating the vowels a, e, i, o, you loudly for 2-3 mins few times a day or keeping the tongue behind the teeth and moving it backwards - 3-4 times a day. - anti snoring appliances can also be used.

I am a 30 year old married female. For past 2 months I am suffering from neck pain caused as a result of using double pillow. The xray observation says" minimal disc space reduction seen at C4-C5 and C5-C6" and" marginal posterior osteophytes are seen at C3 to C6 vertebrae" with conclusion as" F/s/o early cervical spondylosis with marginal disc space reduction at C4-C5, C5-C6" I would like to know what is the permanent cure for this apart from neck exercises and what preventive steps to be taken to lead a normal life.

Hello Ms. Lybrate-user, sorry to hear this. Your x-ray is suggestive of cervical spondylosis which is simple terms can be explained as early arthritis of the neck (cervical spine). Unfortunately there is no way to reverse the damage already done to your spine. The thing you can do is slow down the progression of this condition by following the few simple things. 1. Quit smoking 2. Weight loss 3. Avoid lifting heavy weights 4. Avoid sudden forceful neck movements 5. Neck strengthening exercises 6. Maintain good posture 7.
