Peel an onion and grind it in a juicer. Now, squeeze the juice of one lemon in onion juice. Then, pour this blend into one cup boiling water and let it boil for 2-3 minutes. Remove it from heat and add one teaspoon of honey after it cools down. Drink one cup of this mixture three times a day until you feel relieved. Alternatively, finely chop an onion and add two big spoons of sugar. After half an hour, this mixture will transform into liquid. Consume one large spoon of it after every few hours. This will help you to clear your cough

I am 32 yrs old. I have sinus problem from last 3 yr. Before 2 year I operate it also. Can you tell me it is curable or not ?

Do you have pain on cheek bones on pressing it? hot fomentation is really helpful in sinus besides drink fluids, such as water or juice. This will help dilute mucous secretions and promote drainage. Avoid beverages that contain caffeine or alcohol, as they can be dehydrating. Drinking alcohol can also worsen the swelling of the lining of the sinuses and nose. Moisturize your sinus cavities. Drape a towel over your head as you breathe in the vapor from a bowl of medium-hot water. Keep the vapor directed toward your face. Or take a hot shower, breathing in the warm, moist air. This will help ease pain and help mucus drain. Apply warm compresses to your face. Place warm, damp towels around your nose, cheeks and eyes to ease facial pain. Rinse out your nasal passages. Use a specially designed squeeze bottle (sinus rinse, others), saline canister or neti pot to rinse your nasal passages. This home remedy, called nasal lavage, can help clear your sinuses. If you make your own rinse, use water that's contaminant-free distilled, sterile, previously boiled and cooled, or filtered using a filter with an absolute pore size of 1 micron or smaller to make up the irrigation solution. Also be sure to rinse the irrigation device after each use with contaminant-free water, and leave open to air-dry. Sleep with your head elevated. This will help your sinuses drain, reducing congestion. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

In summer days When we are fully tired? And we are not able to control our breathe. What should we do? Should we lie on ground and relax?

Hello lybrate-user, heat in summer is very high leading to excessive lost of electrolytes in sweat. This leads to weakness and fatigue. Rehydration solution like a glass of electral, lemon juice, fresh fruit juice with black salt should be taken. Try having a glass of water every hour to prevent dehydration.

Sinuses are paired structures around the nasal cavities. Inflammation of sinuses is called sinusitis and it causes many symptoms like heaviness of head, stuffing of nose, feverishness, congestion etc. Precaution- *. Avoid exposure. To cold * steam inhalation helps in loosening *. Drinking water frequently will reduce congestion. We have good treatment in homoeopathy for your problem without adverse effects. Take homoeopathic medicine merc sol 30 once daily in the morning for 6 days and give feedback.
