Diet tips to follow during Ramadan.

M.Sc - Dietitics / Nutrition

Diet tips to follow during Ramadan.

Hi, I am here to discuss NLP-Neurolinguistic programming and how it helps in so many things, weight loss being one of them.

every one of us are tired of trying various ways to lose weight, most of us have tried 'N' number of diets, exercise regime, supplements, meal replacers etc to lose weight, but somehow it becomes very difficult for all of us to lose or maintain lost weight, we keep on searching endlessly for a solution which will help us get rid of this problem forever. I have a lot of patients coming to me and telling me, we have tried everything but weight doesn't bulge.

Have you all ever thought - the mind can play a big role in helping us tackle our issues concerning weight, or for that matter anything and everything. Mind and body connection is a vast field and has been studied for years to find a link which can help human race succeed in everything.

Let us first look at what is NLP-stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a name that has three most influential components involved in creating human experience neurology, language and programming. The neurological system regulates how our bodies function, language determines how we interface and communicate with other people and our programming determines the kinds of models of the world we create. Neuro-Linguistic Programming describes the fundamental dynamics between mind (neuro and language (linguistic) and how their interplay affects our body and behavior (programming).

Now let us discuss how it can help actually weight loss cannot be achieved with NLP but NLP can help you change habits so you can lose weight easily

It can program your mind in a way that- celery can taste like chocolate or running can feel better than going to pub.

It can help in a way- that it can make ice -cream or your favorite food- which you can't keep yourself away from looking unappealing - in such a way that thinking of if may make you feel yuck  I don't want that piece of cake or ice-cream or pizza. - Think if we achieve this how it can help us in losing weight.

In the same way, it can help make healthy foods feel and look appealing for example if you don't like salads-with using NLP you will enjoy eating salads. It can also help you enjoy exercise. Change your beliefs about yourself and change your perception of things. I can help changing your bad habits and create good habits- example- waking up early, exercising etc

Isn't it wonderful and magical. Yes, it is and its possible too. One more thing it helps in is helping you see yourself-visualize yourself, thin- think yourself thin.

For the further understanding of NLP you can contact me I am a certified NLP practitioner, Hypnotherapist and Time-line therapy practitioner. For all those who want holistic weight loss along with using NLP can take a look at my profile.

I experience lot of sweating. Especially in my palms and feet. Is it normal? How can I get rid of this?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi. Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterized by abnormally increased sweating, in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature. It can be associated with a significant quality of life burden from a psychological, emotional, and social perspective. Hyperhidrosis can either be generalized, or localized to specific parts of the body. Hands, feet, armpits, and the groin area are among the most active regions of perspiration due to the high number of sweat glands in these areas. When excessive sweating is localized (e. G. Palms, soles, face, underarms, scalp) it is referred to as primary hyperhidrosis or focal hyperhidrosis. Excessive sweating involving the whole body is termed generalized hyperhidrosis or secondary hyperhidrosis. It is usually the result of some other, underlying condition. The cause of primary hyperhidrosis is unknown, although some physicians claim it is caused by overactivity of the sympathetic nervous system. Anxiety or excitement can exacerbate the condition for many sufferers. A common complaint of patients is they get nervous because they sweat, then sweat more because they are nervous. Other factors can play a role, including certain foods and drinks, nicotine, caffeine, and smells. Medication: take homoeopathic medicine- silicea 30 and bacopa monierri 1x - both thrice daily for 4 weeks. Yoga: there are few yoga poses which helps in calming your mind and relieves stress, but first learn these under a qualified yoga-teacher as many poses are prohibited in certain diseases or medical conditions! -practice shavasana or corpse pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body. -anuloma involves inhaling through both nostrils together and exhaling each breath alternately between the left and right nostrils. The thumb of the right hand is used to manipulate the right nostril, while the pinky and ring finger are used to control the left nostril. -there are many other poses of yoga like balasan, setu bandha sarvangasan, uttanasan, garudasan, savasana, triconasana, viprita karani, marjaryasana, dhyana, bhujangasana, anulom-vilum, pranayam, etc.

Normal BP does not exclude cardiac complaint. If you are worried then you may test for TMT, or ECHO or even angiography for better idea. I am suggesting a homoeoapthic medicine for clearing the cholesterol from the arteries. Take Crataegus Q 5 drops daily.
