Nowadays she is feel very tired and she not take perfect meal.
Its normal or I have to consult (6 week )?
First twelve weeks of pregnancy will be like that. Give her whatever she likes to eat. Avoid spicy food and carbonated drinks. Unless she is very weak or dehydrated no need to consult for this sake.

The Pyramid Diet Plan

MSc.PhD Nutrition & Diete, Jr. Research Fellowship for PhD, M.Sc - Dietitics / Nutrition - Dept. of Post Graduate Studies
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
The Pyramid Diet Plan

The pyramid diet was conceptualised in 1992 and it emphasises the best amount of servings to be consumed daily from the basic food groups (dairy, fruits and vegetables, grains, beans and legumes, meat, oils and fats).

The pyramid is divided into four levels. The very first level is comprised of grains, beans and legumes; the level above it is made up of fruits and vegetable; the third level from the top is composed of meat and dairy products and the very last one on top contains fats, sugars and oils.

The diet aims to divide the food groups in the above mentioned fashion to make you understand just how much to consume from each food group. Here is a breakdown of servings from each food group:

  • Grains- 5 to 7 servings
  • Fruits and vegetables- 2 servings of each
  • Milk and dairy- 3 servings of which 1/2 serving should be dairy products
  • Oils, sugar and fats- 6 teaspoons for oils and minimal servings for fats and sugars

This seems relatively easy to follow, but most people do not understand portion control. The amount or serving of food is called portion control and it is important if you want your diet to work. Here is a guideline that you can follow:

  1. When you are consuming one serving of grains in one sitting, you can choose to eat one cup of cereals or one slice of whole-wheat bread.
  2. When you are eating vegetable or fruits with your breakfast or lunch, choose one and a half cup of chopped vegetables, or one piece of orange, banana or apple.
  3. If you are drinking milk, then one cup of milk in one serving. And, if you are eating meat, choose one ounce of cooked fish or chicken.
  4. Lastly, do not go beyond one teaspoon of vegetable oil and try to keep your sugar intake to the minimum throughout the day.

The pyramid is an excellent guide to lose some weight. You just need some concentration and a ton of commitment to stick to the guide. Along with the diet, don't forget to get some exercise. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dietitian-nutritionist.

I have sebaceous cyst near testis I conacted a doctor he said it will remove through surgergy cost around 5000/-. Can I know this is correct amount or he is charging more.

Dear, one cannot say anything about his charges as it would very widely from the size of the cyst, medical condition of his general health, from city to city and even in the same city from area to area, on the facility you are using, name and fame of the surgeon and his experience. That is why it is difficult and morally incorrect to opine about his charges. Dr. Kiran mehta.

If you had intercourse even once, hymen is already ruptured. She may be having pain at the time of intercourse, which will go after some time. You can use vlg gel i. E. Vaginal lubricating gel at the time of sex to prevent pain for her. Having pain at the time of sex, does not mean that her hymen is not ruptured.

I am 30 years old, my question is during pregnancy can I sex with my partner or not, if yes how can & whose days or months please tell.

Diploma in Family Medicine, M.Sc - Psychotherapy

If her pregnancy is without any complications you can continue your sex life as long as both of you are comfortable and in a mood to do it. Doing acrobatics or trying different positions or using lubes or other gels or vibrators may not be a good idea right now.

Vaginal rashes can be related to noninfectious conditions, such as allergic reactions and contact dermatitis, many are due to sexually transmitted infections. Other symptoms, such as discharge, pain, burning with urination, or itching, may also occur. 1. Prevention =Practice good personal hygiene, including keeping your genital area clean and dry, and wiping from front to back after urinating or having a bowel movement. This helps to prevent vaginal infections, which ultimately leads to the prevention of vaginal itchiness. 2.Avoid certain products such as scented bath soaps, feminine hygiene sprays, colored toilet paper, bubble baths, and vaginal douches; the chemicals in these items (dyes, fragrances) may cause irritation. Premenstrual Syndrome - How It Can Be Treated?

MD, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Gurgaon
Premenstrual Syndrome - How It Can Be Treated?

Premenstrual syndrome is a common condition that affects women who are menstruating. A multitude of psychological and physical symptoms might show up before the onset of a menstrual period. What causes PMS is unknown, but fluctuating hormonal levels (progesterone and oestrogen) seem to be linked to it.

Symptoms
PMS has many symptoms. These vary in severity and frequency and aren’t the same in every woman. These are the common symptoms of PMS:
1. Tenderness of breasts
2. Bloating
3. Increase in weight
4. Agitation
5. Impaired concentration
6. Backaches or headaches
7. Fatigue
8. Anxiety
9. Irritability
10. Depression or mood swings
11. Overeating or food cravings

Diagnosis
A doctor might recommend a few tests to understand and rule out related symptoms:

  1. Diary: Keeping track of the PMS symptoms in a diary for a few months to check the duration will help you understand the condition better. You might be able to see recurring patterns in your behaviour and moods after keeping track of them for few consecutive months.
  2. Thyroid test: Thyroid disease is fairly common in women and a lot of its symptoms match those of PMS. To rule out any thyroid problem, a test can be done to check the efficiency of the thyroid.

Prevention
Relief can be found by treating the symptoms as there is no prevention of the condition. A nutritious diet, sufficient rest and exercise can help deal with the symptoms better.

Treatment

  1. Nutrition: Proper nourishment leads to overall mental and physical well-being. Dietary changes like consuming less caffeine, sugar and salt might reduce the PMS symptoms. Supplements prescribed by your doctor such as vitamin E, calcium, magnesium and vitamin B6 help as well.
  2. Medications: Painkillers such as naproxen, ibuprofen and aspirin may provide relief from cramps, backache, breast tenderness and headache. If the PMS causes severe depression, your doctor may prescribe certain antidepressants.
  3. Being Informed: Tracking your periods by maintaining a monthly diary can help you understand and in turn prevent the severity of the PMS symptoms. Learning about coping mechanisms can help you as well. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist.

PORN Is Not a Source for Sex Education

MD, BHMS
Sexologist, Mumbai
PORN Is Not a Source for Sex Education

With the advent of the internet and it's free nature, pornography has become one of the most viewed explicit contents of the internet. Though not made for adolescents, pornography is viewed by a large number of teenagers and young adults. Sex education is highly necessary for teens and young adults and pornography can never be substituted for sex education. Read more to find all about it.

  1. Pornography is an act: The porn industry like all other industries exists for profitability and actors who indulge in explicit sexual activities on screen are professionals and the scenes are entirely scripted. The purpose of sex education, which is to provide knowledge about a person's own sexuality is lost in porn. Similar to romantic movies, which are far off from reality, pornography is also a fantasy.
  2. Pornography is focused on the act itself: Sex education is not just learning about sexual activities or preferences, but also about learning reproductive sex, safe sex, reproductive health, birth control and also emotional relations and responsibilities. Pornography is graphic by its nature and does not provide any knowledge on these subjects, which are of utmost importance as comprehensive sex education is necessary for every single person.
  3. Pornography gives out the wrong message: The different positions or ways, which actors perform in pornography might be admirable, but it should be kept in mind that pornography has a purpose and it is not providing sex education to adolescents and young adults. When engaging in sexual activities with your partner, their level of comfort, their consent, and their preferences matter the most. So knowledge gained from pornography is in most cases faulty. Also keep in mind that there is a stark difference in what is shown in porn and what happens in real life.
