For joint pains try this. Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.

hello.... No need for surgery... In homeopathy there is treatment for degeneration of bones.... Joint pain can cripple movement along with the distress it causes. Osteoarthritis, in fact, is a degenerative disease of joints. The cartilage — a firm and flexible connective tissue in joints between the bones which holds the bones together and actsas a cushion between joints — gets degenerated. The cartilage prevents the bones from rubbing against each other by reducing the friction when any movement occurs at a joint. So, when the joint cartilage degenerates, the bones rub against each other during joint movement, leading to pain. The main risk factors that lead to Osteoarthritis are advanced age, overuse of joints, obesity and trauma. After the joint cartilage becomes soft, irregular, rough and thin, there is a growth of osteophytes at the margin of joints. These later get enlarged and calcified, resulting in reduction in joint space. As a result of reduced joint space, the bones rub against each other while movement. The pain that follows can be devastating. Osteoarthritis is mainly of the knee joint, hip joint and finger joints. The main symptoms are pain in joints during movement, stiffness of joints after a period of immobility, swelling and tenderness of the affected joint, formation of hard nodes mainly in finger joints, limitation of movement of joints, and wasting of muscles near affected joints. In advanced cases of Osteoarthritis, there is a distortion of joint contours that can lead to even deformity. Natural Homeopathic medicines are of great help for patients of Osteoarthritis, both for providing relief from pain and ensuring that this degenerative disease is stopped in its tracks. Natural Homeopathic treatment for Osteoarthritis Homeopathy has a wide range of natural remedies for Osteoarthritis. Made of natural substances with zero side effects,Homeopathy for osteoarthritis can be very beneficial in reducing the pain, swelling and stiffness of joints. In advanced cases of Osteoarthritis, although Homeopathic remedies cannot revert the degeneration that has already taken place in the cartilage of joints, these natural medicnes definitely help in slowing down the progress of cartilage degeneration. The natural Homeopathic remedies for osteoarthritis are completely safe and will always help, never harm, the patient. Take online consultation for medicine and other advice... Take care

You must lose some weight weight reduction can not be done over night. You have to take it as a way of life. Do diet control. No sugar in tea, coffee, milk etc. No sweets take small frequent feeds. When you get used to it, skip one meal. You should do non weight bearing yoga exercises. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I am 31 years old female. I have recently developed a painful swelling near my ankle up to foot since 7 days. It pains on dorsiflexion of foot. It is not that warm on touch but it is tender. I got x ray done but it is clear, one of the Dr. Palpated it and said it seems to be soft tissues and no liquid. This happened after I slipped from stairs and got hit at tailbone, at that time no ankle sprain was there. In october 2014, I got my acl reconstruction for 2nd time in right leg, after that off and on swelling used to be at ankle but was never painful. Kindly suggest what it can be.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. If x ray is clear, then there is no bony injury. It can be due to tendinitis of the achilles tendon especially if you are having pain on dorsiflexion of foot. But I actually need to see the exact site of pain, so if you can send me a clinical pic with painful site marked, I can advise you on that. Also tell me whether you have done blood markers like esr and crp after onset of pain to rule out an inflammatory pathology. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

Try few things for your back pain: - Apply Ice and Heat Heating pads and cold packs can comfort tender trunks. Most doctors recommend using ice for the first 48 hours after an injury -- particularly if there is swelling — and then switching to heat. You can use whichever you find comforting as long as your skin is protected. - Limit Bed Rest Studies show that people with short-term low-back pain who rest feel more pain and have a harder time with daily tasks than those who stay active. -Keep Exercising Activity is often the best medicine for back pain. Simple exercises like walking can be very helpful. But remember to move in moderation, Stay away from strenuous activities like gardening and avoid whatever motion caused the pain in the first place. -Maintain Good Posture Most people have poor posture when going about their daily activities, putting unnecessary strain on their backs. -Strengthen Your Core Most people with chronic back pain would benefit from stronger abdominal muscles. If the abdominals are weak, other areas must pick up the slack. When we strengthen the abdominals, it often reduces the strain on the lower back. - Improve Flexibility Too much tension and tightness can cause back pain. By increasing flexibility you need to put an equal load throughout the body from the feet all the way up to the head. -Sleep the Right Way The amount of rest you get is important, and so is the position you get it in. Sleeping in a bad position or on a mattress without support can cause back pain. Back sleepers should put pillows under their knees. Side sleepers should place pillows between their knees to keep their spine in a neutral position. Stomach sleeping causes the neck and head to twist and can put undue stress on the back. -Use Relaxation Techniques Research shows that practices such as meditation, deep breathing and yoga, which help put the mind at rest, can do wonders for the back. -See a Specialist Developing an individualized exercise plan is essential to managing chronic back pain. Some patients need more core strengthening while others benefit mainly from stretching and improving flexibility. Please consult a Orthopedic Physiotherapist for the right exercise plan. Best wishes.

What is he treatment for trigger finger. Presently it is on one finger only. Will it spread to other fingers if not treated.

MD - Alternate Medicine, BHMS
Homeopath, Surat
Yes, it can go to another fingers. Many times it happens because of side-effect of anti-hypertensive. So you need to co-relate this problem with the physician under whom you taking treatment. So that that medicine can be stopped and another medicine can be started. Take care.:)

I got a ligament tear in my ankle around a year back. But it healed on its own. Now whenever I extend my ankle beyond a certain distance while playing it tears again. It had healed 3-4 times but it is not happening this time? What should I do?

Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS), Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS)
Orthopedist, Trichy
if the ligament injury had been a complete tear then it wouldnt heal spontaneously and that would give rise to recurrent instability symptoms. if you have pain and a sense of giving way in the ankle then you would need a proper orthopaedic examination. you may be advised a course of physio or surgery depending on the examination findings and imaging results

Gentle massage over the affected part with lukewarm herbal pain relieving oil for 20 minutes followed by hot fomentation. It will relax the muscles and the veins of your affected part improving the blood supply to the organ and giving strength to it. Please avoid over-use of the part affected i. E. Lifting weight - pushing or pulling heavy objects. Give proper rest to the part - let it heal with the time. This will greatly help. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking.

My legs and back usually aching whole the day what would be the reason behind that?
Hi I can understand your problem. Pain in back and leg may be due to nerve compression at lumber, still clinical examination is needed to confirm. Meanwhile # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold foementation. # change sleeping position. # use lumber support. There are various non sugical treatment options for back pain according to your health and severity of symptoms. Kindly reply in private consultation to discuss detailed treatment plan. Wishing you a good health.
