I am having a back bone and neck pain after wakeup from sleep. How can I get the pain relief ?
The most common form of morning stiffness and pain is due to muscle imbalances and poor conditioning of the muscles themselves. Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. -a physiotherapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and learn how to safely, easily, stretch and strengthen the weak and tight areas of your lower back and hips which cause pain while sleeping. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold fomentation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumber support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same. Any orthopedic doctor can check him for the pain. He should also be checked generally for BP, blood sugars and some basic tests which a general physician can do. If he requires pain medications for longer duration then you can try Homeopathy as it is safe and without any side-effects.

Back pain. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana? lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi, it takes 5-6 weeks for union. You can resume normal weight bearing by 4 weeks. Sports activities by 8 weeks if everything goes well.

Hi! if you have gone through a surgery of spinal cord, try to avoid any strenuous exercises. You can practice yoga & pranayama daily to maintain your health. You can apply warm sesame oil everyday and massage very softly to keep your backbone strong and healthy.

If you have localized back pain with - no neurological symptoms like numbness, paresthesia, weakness in limbs etc, my advice is: - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a physiotherapist and then at home. - avoid forward bending, lifting heavy weights etc - take an analgesic like diclofenac or something which suits your body for 5-7 days - take muscle relaxant for same time as analgesic to relieve muscle spasm - ice packs at the site of pain, muscle spasm - local analgesic spray can be used but no massage is required let me know how you are feeling. I will actually ask you to get x ray of involved region of spine (ap & lateral) and send reports across to me so that I can advise further in a better manner. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

I am 63 male, an active sportsman. My x-ray of both knee show" small peripheral and central osteophytes along tibiofemoral and patellofemoral joints. There is mild reduction in medial compartment knee joint space. Soft tissue planes are well maintained" at present I am taking neucoxia 45mg everyday which reduces knee pain and I am able to play. Can you please suggest 1)-what medicine will be more affective 2)-how long can I continue taking nucoxia 3)-is suplement colaflex of any use. Thanks n regards.

Not all patients of joint pain need surgery. Most of them can be managed without joint replacement. Physiotherapy along with medicines helps rule out diabetes, vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with a soft bedding on it. Any way take caldikind plus (mankind)1tab odx10days paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days do knee exercises. Gradually develop your walking & standing stamina. It may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. The medicines you are taking are also reasonably safe. But you must keep check on your vital parameters from time to time.

Hi. Dr. Mai last six month se family plan kar rahi hun. Plan karne se pehle mere periods ekdam regular they. Jab se plan karna shuru kiya hai tabse periods 5 se 6 days late hote hai. Is baat bahut pain bhi hai. Periods khatan ho gaye hai. Par ab bhi low stomach aur back pain hau. Mai ovacet bhi le rahi hun. Pregnency k liye kya karun.

Period 5-6 din late hone se koi problem nahi hai, ovacet ke karan bhi period late ho sakta hai, agar apne koi test nahi kiya hai to dawa khane se pahle test karna chahiye.

kindly take pathyakshdhatraydi kshayam and and adreesahacharadi kshayam, 2 tsf each in half a glass of warm water twice a day before meals. Take panchamruta loha guggal, 2 tabs (chew the tabs for best results) with dashmoolajeerakadyarishta, 2 tsf in half a glass of warm water after meals, twice a day. Avoid cold water or cold eatables in your routine. Take liquid diet like daliya, khichdi, moong daal and veggie soup in your diet regularly. Avoid AC and direct exposure to cooler air. Do massage with prabhanjanavimardan oil over the whole body. Continue the regime for 1 month. stay in touch. Good luck.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 1 wk, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hi. Thanks for your query- avoid heighted and hard pillows. Use soft pillow which may elevate your head to 5-10 degree. Aply move on your neck. Also if persistant- neck x-ray and follow up.
