I have pain in my legs over 7 days ago what kind of medicine or excersice I have to do?

Numbness in leg & feet is due to pressure on the nerves. This could be due to lumbar spondylosis with nerve root compression. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos you will need other supportive medicines also. Do back (spine) exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

My wife is having Parkinsons. No trembling but stiffness in muscle, difficulty in walking, speech, writing. Taking treatment with syndopa 900 mg/daily for the past six years. What is your suggestion to get relief / improvement . Siddha, Ayurvedic, homeopathy or any alternate treatment is ok ?

Syndopa is the best medicine available for Parkinson's disease. However the dosing and dosage interval should be individualized based on the need. Even improper dosing and dosage interval may produce poor control. Also there are many other drugs available which could helpful if added to Syndopa judiciously. There is a surgical procedure called DBS is available which can give better result in carefully selected patients.

good evening my Lybrate user, u do some exercise. walk one hour daily. Take water minimum 3-4 ltrs per day. Take a medicine Rhus Tox -200/8 doses twice daily in empty stomach. One dose means If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills. If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly. Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Swelling happens because your body is holding on to more fluid than usual. The increased pressure in your leg veins, and pressure from your growing baby on the big veins in your groin, add to the problem. Swelling is common. About half of all pregnant women experience it. To prevent Swelling Try to eat a balanced diet so that you put on a healthy amount of weight during pregnancy. Aim to reduce how much salt, sugar and fat you have. Cut out pre-packaged, highly processed foods, as they are usually high in all three. Salt causes your body to hold on to more fluid. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, as this will help your body to hoard less water. Rest as much as possible, putting your feet up above your hips. Try not to cross your legs, as this restricts your blood flow. Sit down when you can, and if your work involves standing for long periods of time, move about from one foot to the other to increase blood flow. You can also do these simple foot exercises to reduce swelling in your ankles: bend and stretch your foot up and down 30 times Circle each foot eight times one way and eight times the other way You can do these whether you're standing or sitting. Exercise regularly, especially by walking, swimming, or riding an exercise bike. Or try a water aerobics class – immersion in water may temporarily help reduce swelling, particularly if the water level is up near your shoulders. Go to your Gynecologist if you notice swelling in your face or puffiness around your eyes, more than slight swelling of your hands, or excessive or sudden swelling of your feet or ankles. This could be a sign of preeclampsia, a serious condition. Best wishes.

Sir today I fall from bike, bike handle hits under my left side rib. I went to ortho specialist and took one xray. Doctor said that no problem. And suggest paracetamol with diclofenac and pantop, oxalgin gel. But when I took deep breath I feel pain. Is any problem. Please respond. Suggest any precautions.

Applying cold compresses to the painful knee is one of the best and easiest ways to reduce pain and swelling. The cold will constrict the blood vessels, reducing blood flow to the affected area and thus reducing swelling. It will also give you relief from the pain. 1. Wrap a handful of ice cubes in a thin towel. 2. Apply the compress to the affected knee area for 10 to 20 minutes. 3. Do this two or three time daily until your pain is gone. A bag of frozen peas also works well as a cold compress. You can opt for alternating hot and cold compresses as well for chronic pains.

You are actually not advised at this age to sit folding your knees because it leads to eccentric loading of knee joint and increased wear. But anyways I think that there are some degenerative changes setting in both the knee joints, which we call as osteoarthritis. You can send me your latest knee x rays so that I can advise you a treatment protocol depending upon which stage your arthritis is in. Hi. I am getting swelling in all my thumb area and in the recent past I have also gained lots of weight. I am clueless as to why this things are happening. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have gone through the details given. It is difficult give an answer why there is swelling in your thumb region. There could be many reasons. Plus you are also mentioning a weight gain. This needs some investigations particularly get a Thyroid assay done. Also check uric acid level. Then come back with the details. Thanks.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. Inform after 10 days for further guidance.

Hi, take homoeopathic medicines - arnica 200 and rhus tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.
