My Orthodontic treatment is going on. First the dentist charged Rs. 15,000 for the braces (removable metal plates) and then Rs. 1,500 every month for consultation. And now he said that he will convert that braces into retainer and I will have to give around Rs. 3,000 for material cost. Other than this for Metal filling (cavity) and scaling he charged about Rs. 5,000 I want to know whether he is charging more than the actual cost.

madam, the charges varies from place to place and from dentists to dentists. Also the cost is calculated on the amount of materials used. As the cost for ortho materials are more so the treatment charges are more.

All individuals requires scaling (cleaning) to be done atleast once in 6 months to maintain our oral hygiene clean. Our toothbrush is not much finely designed to clean all the plaque and calculi in the interdental areas of the teeth, which is the area where most of the calculus accumulate much and has to be removed regularly using scalers by the dentist. So pls do visit a dentist for scaling.

Bad breath can b caused fue to various reasons. Due to smoking n using tobacco products, dental prob such as decay teeth, unclean tongue, gum infections, reduced saliva n dry mouth, ill fitting dentues, salivary gland probs. Other diseases n infections which also cause bad breath r sinus infections, respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis n pneumonia, liver n kidney probs, diabetes, acid reflux from stomach etc. Get scalling done by dentist. Use proper brushing techniques. Brush , floss n use mouthwash twice daily. Massage ur gums with ur finger tips after brushing. Keep ur tongue clean. Rinse ur mouth well after each meal. Get ur decay teeth filled. Visit ur dentist for dental checkups every 6 months to detect n prevent dental probs. Inspite of these measures if bad breath persists, consult a general physician for further evaluation.

Hello, you need to visit a dentist and get it checked. Get an x-ray done. If there is a cavity get it filled. If there is infection to the root of tooth get it treated and then place a crown over it. Bleeding gums could be because of deposits on teeth surface or food lodged in between teeth. Visit a dentist and get your scaling and polishing done. Brush your teeth twice daily. Night brushing is very important. Floss regularly. Rinse after every meal. Visit dentist every 6 months.

Hello, Halitosis, also called bad breath, is a symptom in which a noticeably unpleasant odor is present on the exhaled breath. Of those who have genuine halitosis, often the odor is caused by bacteria present below the gumline and on the back of the tongue. Rest of them is accounted for by many different conditions, including disorders in the nasal cavity, sinuses, throat, lungs, esophagus, stomach or elsewhere. Very rarely, halitosis can be one of many symptoms of a serious underlying medical condition such as liver failure; but, in the vast majority of cases, the cause is minor and can often be reduced by adjustments to oral hygiene, including brushing or gently scraping the back of the tongue and improving the health of the gums by using dental floss. The intensity of bad breath may differ during the day, due to eating certain foods (such as garlic, onions, meat, fish, and cheese), smoking,[12] and alcohol consumption. Since the mouth is exposed to less oxygen[medical citation needed] and is inactive during the night, the odor is usually worse upon awakening (" morning breath"). Bad breath may be transient, often disappearing following eating, drinking, tooth brushing, flossing, or rinsing with specialized mouthwash. So, in your case, need to make a diagnosis for right medicine. Medication: Use SBL’s Homeodent toothpaste twice (morning & night) a day daily. Use Cinnamon Q (mother tincture) diluted with water for gargling. And take orally - Merc. Sol. 30/ twice a day daily for 2 weeks. Then revert.

Brushing your teeth twice a day with fluoride tooth paste using mouthwashes , dental floss on a daily basis not only improves Oral hygiene but also keeps your teeth strong. Prevention is better than cure so get yourself routinely checked up for cavities.

How to control bad breath. . I spend more then 8hrs in front of system. What's the solution?

1. Take one clove after every meal and chew it. This is very effective natural cure to reduce bad breath. 2. Chew some cardamom seeds to get rid of bad breath. 3. Chewing a few mint leaves frequently can get rid of bad breath and it is a good mouth freshener too. Diet- 1. Increase the intake of foods rich in zinc as they help in preventing bad breath. Zinc helps maintain the anaerobic bacteria balance inside the mouth to keep it free of foul smell. 2. Increase intake of vitamin c and vitamin e rich foods. 3. Drink lots of water to keep mouth and body well hydrated. 4. Avoid constipation.
