Greeting of the day madam/sir. I am 22 years old male and I am suffering from jaw one side pain from 2 weeks, even am not able to eat food please give me suggestion.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You will have to have soft diet on the other side until then. You may consult me in person too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

Hi, I guess you are trying to tell that your teeth is misaligned (irregularly placed). In that case you will require orthodontic treatment (braces treatment). It will take about one or two years for the treatment to complete and I am sure you' ll look better. Regards dr. Avinash. B. S

I have bad breath when I woke up everyday I have tried everything but none of them worked so what should I do ?

•Eat a healthy, balanced diet and avoid eating strongly flavoured or spicy food. •Cut down on sugary food and drink, as it can increase the amount of bacteria in your mouth. •Reduce your alcohol consumption. •Stop smoking. •Cut down on coffee. •Drink plenty of water to help prevent your mouth becoming dry. •Chew sugar-free gum after eating, to stimulate the flow of saliva. This will help clean away any remaining food particles. •Don't use toothpaste to clean your dentures, as it can scratch the surface and cause stains. •Clean your dentures thoroughly using soap and lukewarm water, denture cream or a denture-cleaning tablet. •Use a separate toothbrush to clean your dentures. •Make sure you visit your dentist for regular check-ups. Having regular dental check-ups will ensure that any plaque is removed from your teeth, particularly in areas that are difficult to reach. •Your dentist can recommend the best way to clean your teeth and gums, and point out areas you might be missing. They can also identify any signs of gum disease and ensure early treatment. •Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. •If your bad breath is caused by a gastrointestinal problem, such as an H. Pylori infection or gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), you may be referred to a gastroenterologist. •Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. •You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too.

I am a teenager and I have weak gums. Whenever I brush my teeth I find blood in my brush. Plus my teeth are also turning yellow. Please help.

PERIODONTIST, B.D.S.
Dentist, Navi Mumbai
You need professional cleaning of teeth and gums so that the infection in gums will resolve and you bleeding problem will be solved. For yellowness of your teeth you can use snowdent tooth paste. Apply it on all teeth surfaces and wait for 5-7 min and brush with the same.

Hi my age is 26 I got metal capping procedure without rct in my left and right maxillary 1st molar but both got removed now I want to get my molar fix by composite filling is that possible because I face to much problem and pain while chewing anything.

Certification in endodontics, Certified Implantologist, Certification in periodontics surgery and laser treatments, BDS

First of all capping should never be done without rct. If those teeth are causing pain then please get root canals done followed by capping again. Composite filling will not treat your pain.

Sir I feel pressure in my teeth these getting very tight and when I chew something than I pressure in my teeth I think they come closer to each other so sir what can I do.

BDS
Dentist, Meerut
This symptom can be because of your wisdom teeth or some second molar erupting and exerting pressure on other teeth mesial to it. You can take some muscle relaxants to avoid undue pressure while eating and meanwhile show to some dentist for clinical checkup.

I have done rct during that my mouth is not opening widely it is about two fingers it is serious problem I am suffering from one month please give me afvice can I consukt with other dr? what should I do I am worried about that so much

MFDS RCPS (Glasgow), MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, BDS
Dentist, Delhi
Restricted mouth opening may happen after dental treatment due to several reasons 1. Muscle spasm due to the local anaesthetic administration 2. Aggravation of a preexisting subclinical jaw joint dysfunction 3. Recurrent, spreading infection 4. Inflammation in the muscles of the jaws etc. Treatment depends upon the actual cause in each case. Please see your dentist for an evaluation. If you or the dentist or both are uncertain of the diagnosis, you may consult an oral & maxillofacial surgeon. As far as a second opinion is concerned, it is your right and prerogative and you can definitely get one. Most times, though, the problem can be sorted out. So do not worry. See your dentist first. They might actually be able to direct you to an appropriate specialist as necessary.

BDS
Dentist,
You can’t brush every time you eat. But you sure can drink water or at least rinse your mouth with water every time you do so. Water neutralises the effects of acidic and sugary foods. Rinsing removes food particles left behind on/ between the teeth.

Hi doctors, my teeth has some yellowish, and corner teeth and in between has black black, even if I brush inside its not removing, please advice, to remove that how much it will cost, am in Bangalore.

Hello, You need to get scaling done by the dentist as the plaque cannot be removed manually by any toothbrush.

If your tooth is properly sealed with a permanent filling and you don't have any symptoms of pain or difficulty in chewing, you can go for crown without any problem.

To make your teeth last long and avoid painful dental treatment it is better to have your teeth checked and if the decay has initiated - to stop the same by having it treated with Pit and fissure sealants. This is the new age - Minimally Invasive Dentistry (MID).

I am nineteen years old. During brushing blood is coming between my teeth due to this I can not brush for long time. Can you please suggest a solution?

BDS
Dentist, Vadodara
Bleeding gums is due to infection caused be accumulation of plaque on teeth. Go for scaling and polishing of teeth. Use mouthwash twice daily after brushing.
